This campground is celebrated for its wonderful natural setting, particularly its proximity to the flowing Hersey River. It’s designed to be a peaceful haven where you can relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy classic outdoor activities. Imagine waking up to the sounds of the river, spotting deer just outside your site, and spending your days exploring paths and casting a line into the water.

Camping in Michigan is more than just a pastime; it's a way of life for many, offering a chance to escape the daily grind and immerse oneself in the stunning landscapes our state provides. From the tranquil Upper Peninsula to the diverse Lower Peninsula, there’s a perfect spot for every kind of outdoor enthusiast. Blodgett Landing Campground fits beautifully into this picture, offering a serene and well-maintained environment that appeals to those seeking a calm and natural retreat.

One recent camper shared their delightful experience: "Wonderful setting for a campground. Hersey River flowing nearby. Checkin was easy and the people are very friendly. Our site #18 is beautiful with a large yard. We saw several deer and the paths to the river were easy walks." This review paints a vivid picture of the campground's natural charm and the welcoming atmosphere.

However, they also offered a helpful tip: "Be careful though…. be sure to ask how to pull into your site. (Front or back in). We were in #18, which we thought was a back in since it’s a one way road thru the campground. BUT NOOOO, #18 is a pull in. The electric pedestal is on the left side of campsite. We had to use the next campsite to get our 43 ft Class A turned around to pull in. Only here for one night but it sure was confusing with the one way road." This feedback is valuable for RVers, emphasizing the importance of clarifying site orientation upon arrival. Despite this minor navigational challenge, their overall impression remained positive: "Overall… a very nice campground."

Another camper praised the campground’s upkeep and amenities: "This is a clean, well maintained facility with room to play hike or fish. I can see this campground being a favorite place to camp with friends and relatives. Sites are spacious and we had full hook ups." This highlights the cleanliness, spaciousness of sites, and recreational opportunities available, reinforcing Blodgett Landing as a strong contender for your next Michigan camping trip.

Nice clean campground with two rivers running next to it. Hersey river and muskegon river. Great time fishing, tubing and kayaking. Camping for RV and rustic. There's water and electric hookups at most camp site's just not for rustic.

I was pleasantly surprised with this campground. I stayed for just one night in the "rustic" site in a tent. I called to make a reservation, but the reservation system is so informal that I was worried that I wouldn't get a spot. The person I talked to told me it's first-come-first-serve, but also took down my name? Anyway, even on a Friday night I got a site next to the river and didn't have anyone on either side of me. This is one of the quietest campgrounds I've ever stayed in. It's was silent after about 10 pm. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. To check in and pay, you visit the host. Price was very affordable.

The campground host was very hospitable and friendly, they would bend over backward if they could to help you. It is very close to the Perre Marquette trail so a great place to camp while bike touring. The restrooms are very clean and it is right on the Hersey river so fishing is an option.
