We camped here for Memorial weekend. It is a beautiful place to camp. The water is calm and peaceful! The other campers are very nice and friendly! The gentleman that takes care of the campground is very nice and helpful also. I will camp there again. THANK YOU!
May 30, 2025 · Jeanine SnyderWe set up this stay at Boulder Lake for our Yooper Run 7 road trip from Ohio to Symco Wisconsin. This is a great campground. We had 2 group primitive sites that had plenty of space for our large group. The sites were close to a very nice restroom and shower facility. It had electricity and running water. The camp host was great. She stopped and checked on us to see if we needed anything and made sure the restroom was stocked. We headed down to the lake and had fun at the beach and swimming area.
Aug 31, 2024 · Rebel Rousers Car ClubThe Camp host and her husband were in the Bathrooms cleaning at 5:30-6am when I went for my shower. They took a minute, finished the shower I wanted and let me use the done one. This is a HUGE campground with 3-bathhouses and multiple vault toilets and just 2 hosts. The main host I was told was filling in the last weeks of Sept. She had a slight disability getting around but was pleasant and provided anything I needed.
Sep 17, 2024 · GoingNoWhereFastWe've been going here for many years. It's a popular place because its so nice. Beach front on the lake. Hiking trails. Nice restrooms and showers. Even the vault toilets are pretty decent. Camp host was very nice!!! Book your sites early!
Sep 18, 2024 · Randy VogelsOne of the many campgrounds located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Boulder Lake is one of the larger ones. It is located in Boulder Lake. There is a boat launch with plenty of parking for your vehicle and trailer. It does have a well maintained public beach area. There are pit toilets scattered throughout the campground the campground hosts keep clean and well stocked. There are shower facilities with hot water as well as bathrooms for those that may not want to use the pit toilets. You'll also find potable water stations scattered throughout the grounds. The campground is broken down into loops. Some sites and loops can be reserved. There are two loops that have electric power that also can be reserved. There is a loop that is dedicated for group sites of various sizes. There is a potable water fill and dump station just inside the entrance. The campground is paved as well as the campsites. There are some size restrictions on some sites. There are two primary trails to hike and explore. One takes you around a meadow/swampy area that sits pretty much in the center of the campground. The other is near the entrance which takes you to the site of a CCC Camp which has signs and the foundations of the camp. If you follow the trail towards the lake you'll find the remains of a 100 year old logging camp. It is mostly the foundation mounds where the buildings existed but there is a marker and sign to help you identify the site. At the same location there is an old Native American fishing village which is marked by another sign. Due to the campground's size it requires two hosts who do a great job keeping up with the common buildings and campsites. They're very friendly and helpful. So let's give them and our Forest Service a hand and extinguish your campfire and clean up your site before you leave.
