I was visiting friends who stay here as their home base. It is a great no frills campground, but it is quiet and clean. There are 6 washers and dryers available. You can get quarters from the office. The owners are amazing. Very nice and accommodating. There are a lot of workers here, so the camp is pretty empty during the day. There are what look like permanent campers, but they all look great with plants making it look homey. Port Allen has an amazing must-see museum, and Baton Rouge is just across the river. Definitely will come back if in the area.
May 07, 2025 · Traveling NanaThe last few days have been a peaceful retreat in the Port Allen region, just west of Baton Rouge. We've been staying at the Cajun Country RV Park, a modest yet well-kept haven that caters perfectly to travelers like us. As full-time RV nomads, we're always on the lookout for places that blend practicality with a touch of charm, and this spot delivered. At just $40 a night, Cajun Country RV Park offers exceptional value. Each site comes with full hookups, including 30 and 50-amp service, sewer, and clean water—everything an RVer could ask for. The park itself is immaculately maintained, with neatly kept grounds and conveniently placed dumpsters near the sites. It's clear the owners take pride in their work. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff’s warmth and understanding. The woman in the office went out of her way to accommodate us, even allowing me to wash the road grime off the Badger—a much-needed refresh after our snowy trek through Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas. This small kindness meant a lot, reflecting the welcoming spirit of the place. The campground seems to be a hub for both transient travelers and long-term residents, with several pull-behind campers housing working locals. Despite its simplicity, it had all we needed: clean facilities, a tranquil pond to admire, and easy access to the attractions of Baton Rouge. Whether you're here for a quick stopover or a longer visit, the Cajun Country RV Park offers a comfortable, no-frills experience that's worth every penny. We leave tomorrow with fond memories of this spot, ready to set our sights on New Orleans. For fellow travelers seeking an affordable and welcoming stay, we highly recommend Cajun Country RV Park. #straycompasslife #straycompasstravels #bluebelleandthebadger #cajuncountryrvpark #portallenla #rvnomadlife #roadadventures #fulltimervliving #rvreviews #straycompassjournal
Jan 17, 2025 · Thomas CorraoWe stayed at Cajun Country RV Park for a one nighter while traveling to Texas. This park is not far off of I10 and easy to, the site are very nice with pads. The roads in the park are gravel. The owners are super nice, they came by the to make sure we were good and needed anything. Highly recommend this park if you are in the area. The Lindsey Family
May 11, 2025 · Jeff LindseyFor an overnight stay this was perfect. It was close to the interstate. Quiet— no car noise. Yes— lots of full timers. But soooo quiet you could hear a pin drop. The place was super duper clean. People super duper nice. Nice concrete slab to park on. And to top it off. We did not have to disconnect our tow vehicle. We would definitely stay again. It’s not for people looking for a “camping” experience though. More of a passing through kind of place. Thank you.
Mar 20, 2025 · colleen goodwinThis is officially my first review ever. My girlfriend and I are traveling from California to Florida and along the way we got hit with record-breaking weather and got snowed in. Luckily, we found this campground and hunker down for three days. Once we set up our rig, we realized that we had ran out of water, and our only mode of transportation are my motorcycles. And I did not feel comfortable being on that with Snow and potential ice on the road. The gentleman in the front noticed an offered to get us some water in his vehicle and deliver it straight to our door. We were super grateful for him. I just wish I could remember his name, but if you’re ever in the area, highly recommend this RV park plenty of sites Easy to maneuver any size RV you may have. Five stars and if I could give them more, I would.
