New Market is a charming community northeast of Huntsville, making Camp MACOBA an ideal retreat that's still within a reasonable driving distance for many across North Alabama.

The camp's address on Hillsboro Drive guides visitors directly to its peaceful grounds. While it provides a sense of being "tucked away," it's not so remote that accessing necessary supplies or services becomes a challenge. The proximity to Huntsville means that larger amenities, including major retail outlets, a variety of dining options, and specialized services, are available within a short drive. This balance allows campers to enjoy the quietude of the natural setting during their stay, with the convenience of urban resources nearby if needed. Its private nature means that access is generally by appointment or reservation only, ensuring a controlled and secure environment for all guests.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a private campground operating as a ministry, Camp MACOBA's pricing structure and "special offers" differ from commercial campgrounds. The most notable aspect is the incredibly affordable rate mentioned in a review, "$1 per day." While this low price is a significant highlight, it's essential to understand that such rates may be specific to certain groups, programs, or a deeply subsidized offering from the Madison Baptist Association. It is unlikely to be a standard public rate for all individuals or groups.

Given its operational model as a ministry open by appointment or reservation only, any "promotions" would likely be in the form of:

  • Subsidized Rates: The Madison Baptist Association may offer highly subsidized rates for affiliated churches and ministries.
  • Group Packages: Pricing may be structured around group bookings, events, or specific retreat packages rather than individual nightly rates for general public.

To get accurate and up-to-date information on pricing, eligibility for specific rates, and any available booking options, direct contact with Camp MACOBA is absolutely necessary. It’s the only way to confirm the costs and tailor your visit to their unique offerings.

$1 per day! Small, well maintained park with beautiful scenery. Water, electricity, plumming, double ringed fire pits with precut firewood, walking trails, a creek, two ponds, and they're building a cabin! 9.2/10 would do again.
