Campground Membership Outlet About

For many Floridians, the allure of the open road and the tranquility of nature are deeply ingrained in their lifestyle. Owning a campground membership, such as those for Thousand Trails or RPI, can open doors to incredible outdoor adventures across the state and beyond, offering access to beautiful parks and amenities. However, circumstances change, and sometimes, the need arises to sell or transfer these valuable memberships. This is where services like Campground Membership Outlet, located right here in Minneola, Florida, come into play.

Campground Membership Outlet (CMO) presents itself as a facilitator for individuals looking to buy or sell their campground memberships. They aim to bridge the gap between those wishing to divest their memberships and new enthusiasts eager to explore the world of RVing and camping with established benefits. Their service primarily focuses on the resale market, offering a pathway for current owners to recover their investment and for new buyers to acquire memberships often at a more accessible price point than direct from the primary provider.

The concept of a campground membership resale company is particularly relevant in Florida, given the state's popularity as an RV destination and a hub for retirees and active adults who frequently utilize such memberships. CMO positions itself to assist with what can sometimes be a complex process of transferring ownership and ensuring all the necessary steps are followed for a legitimate transaction.

However, like any service involving significant financial transactions, it's crucial for Floridians to approach with a clear understanding and thorough research. Some past clients have shared experiences that highlight the importance of diligent follow-up and clear communication during the selling process. While ultimately achieving their desired outcome, these accounts suggest that active engagement from the client's side can be beneficial to ensure a smoother experience. This article will provide a detailed overview of Campground Membership Outlet, its services, location, and key considerations for Florida locals engaging with such a service for their campground membership needs.

Location and Accessibility

Campground Membership Outlet is conveniently located at 506 S Hwy 27, Minneola, FL 34715, USA. This central Florida location offers good accessibility for residents throughout the state, particularly those in the greater Orlando metropolitan area and the surrounding counties. Minneola, situated in Lake County, benefits from its position along a major state highway, U.S. Route 27.

U.S. Route 27 is a significant north-south highway that traverses a large portion of Florida, making the office relatively straightforward to reach for those traveling from various parts of the state. It connects to major east-west arteries like Florida's Turnpike and State Road 50, providing regional connectivity. This makes it a practical location for clients who might need to visit in person for consultations or to drop off paperwork, though much of their business may be conducted remotely.

For local Floridians, the Minneola location is within a reasonable driving distance from many popular residential areas and RV hubs. Lake County itself is known for its rolling hills, numerous lakes, and a more relaxed pace of life compared to the bustling coastal cities. This tranquil setting is often appealing to individuals who own or are interested in campground memberships, as it aligns with their love for the outdoors.

While direct public transportation options to this specific address might be limited, the prevalence of private vehicles and the straightforward nature of driving on U.S. 27 make it accessible for the majority of Floridians. The location's ease of access reinforces CMO's role as a local service provider catering to a statewide audience of campground membership owners.

Services Offered

Campground Membership Outlet (CMO) primarily specializes in facilitating the resale of campground memberships. Their core services are designed to connect current membership owners with prospective buyers, handling various aspects of the transaction. Based on customer reviews, the services offered include:

  • Membership Resale Facilitation: CMO acts as an intermediary to help current owners sell their unused or no-longer-needed campground memberships, such as those for Thousand Trails or RPI.
  • Buyer Sourcing: The company aims to find buyers for listed memberships, though the timeframe for this can vary.
  • Documentation and Transfer Assistance: They assist with the necessary paperwork and coordination required to legally transfer a campground membership from seller to buyer. This involves communicating with the respective campground organizations (e.g., Thousand Trails).
  • Consultation: CMO provides advice on pricing strategies, including suggestions to lower selling prices to attract buyers, as mentioned in a review.
  • Fee-Based Service: There is an upfront fee charged for their service to market and facilitate the sale of the membership.
  • Payment Processing: Once a sale is complete, they are involved in the processing and disbursement of funds to the seller.
Features / Highlights

Campground Membership Outlet offers several features that define its service model for campground membership resales:

  • Specialized Niche: CMO focuses exclusively on campground membership resales, indicating a specialized understanding of this unique market.
  • Intermediary Role: They serve as a bridge between sellers and buyers, aiming to simplify the transaction process.
  • Assistance with Transfers: They claim to handle the complexities of transferring memberships with various campground systems, a process that can often be intricate for individuals.
  • Florida-Based Operation: Being located in Minneola, FL, they serve a significant market of campground membership owners and potential buyers within the state.
  • Availability for Communication: While some reviews note delays, they do communicate via email and eventually phone (as suggested by BBB intervention), indicating a channel for client interaction.
  • Potential for Quicker Sales (with buyer sourced by seller): One review suggests that if a seller brings their own buyer, the process can be expedited, highlighting a potential efficiency for informed clients.
  • No-Refund Policy on Fees: It's important to note their stated policy of no refunds on service fees, even if a sale is not completed within a desired timeframe.
Promotions or Special Offers

Campground Membership Outlet, as a service provider for membership resales, does not typically offer "promotions" in the traditional sense of discounts on products or services. Their business model is based on facilitating a transaction for a fee. The primary "offer" is their service to connect sellers with buyers for campground memberships. Given the nature of their business, there wouldn't be seasonal discounts or buy-one-get-one-free deals.

However, the value proposition they offer is the potential to sell a membership that an individual no longer uses, thereby recouping some of their initial investment. For buyers, the "offer" is access to potentially lower-priced memberships than those directly from the primary providers, or access to memberships that are no longer actively sold. Any "special" might come in the form of a successful sale at a desired price point or a swift transaction, rather than a promotional discount on their service fee. Prospective clients should inquire directly about their fee structure and what is included in that service.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For Floridians who own or aspire to own campground memberships, Campground Membership Outlet in Minneola serves a very specific niche. Its suitability for locals primarily stems from its specialized service in the resale market, which can be a complex arena for individuals to navigate on their own. For those who find themselves with an unused or underutilized campground membership (such as Thousand Trails or RPI), CMO offers a structured pathway to potentially sell it, helping to recoup some of their initial investment. This can be particularly appealing in a state like Florida, where many residents have invested in outdoor recreation assets.

Conversely, for Floridians looking to acquire a campground membership, CMO could represent an opportunity to do so at a potentially lower cost than buying directly from the primary provider, or to obtain memberships that are no longer actively marketed. Given Florida's popularity for RVing and camping, having a local intermediary specializing in these transactions can be a practical resource for residents looking to enter or exit the campground membership landscape.

However, it is crucial for locals to conduct thorough due diligence, as highlighted by previous customer experiences. While the service provides a channel for buying and selling, active engagement and clear communication from the client's side are recommended for a smoother process. For Floridians deeply involved in the RV and camping lifestyle, CMO represents a relevant service within their local market, offering a specialized avenue for managing their valuable campground memberships. Understanding their fee structure and communication practices upfront will enable a more informed and potentially successful engagement.

I should of did more research on this company before hiring them to sell my membership. Back in 2018 i put my membership in deferment for 5 yrs. (inactive) and hire this company to sell it. They told me that they it will take a couple of months to sell it. It required a fee for the service. It would be me that always initiated the follow up. Five years have passed and no sell, after several suggestions to lower the selling price which I did. No in 2025 the membership has not been sold, after bringing down the selling price varies times. I ask melissa about a refund of the fee and she informed me they do not have a policy to refund those fees. So they took my money and have nothing to show for it. My advise to you DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE OR COMPANY.

i wouldnt be able to fully reccomend using campground membership outlet because it took contacting the BBB to get an email back after a week of nothing, i was a seller who brought my own buyer. thousand trails confirmed my transfer was complete on 4/18 and it took over a week after that and reporting the issue to the BBB in order to get a reply. I think if you are doing it like i did just find an escrow company because you can get it done faster with less headache and probably for cheaper. In the end i did get my money and i got it alot faster than some of these other reviews but after reading them i wasnt messing around with waiting to hear back. Always do your research, especially when dealing with multi thousand dollar sales. For the team at CMO, Just keep in contact with people, an email takes a minute to send and i would have been fine waiting for longer if it wasnt dead silence no contact. I am glad everything was completed but i wish i had a better experience.

In July of 2024 we listed our membership with this company. Communication was pretty consistent. We had a couple of sales fall thru. On October 4 we were notified that the sale had been successful and transfer was in progress. On Oct 18 we were told they were on top of it. Dec 4 they said a check would be mailed within 2 weeks with tracking. We have reached out twice enquiring about the check. We have not recieved any response or communication in over a month. Here we are now into 2025 with no money, no communication and no membership!!! All information is now in the hands of our attorney. Paperwork is in process with Florida Attorney General as well as the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully someone can get our $5,500 for us. I would never recommend this company for selling a membership.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Please stay away. You have been warned. We sold a thousand trails membership through them for a net return of $6,500 after their cut. After confirming the sale we got radio silence. For months. We tried reaching out multiple times a week during that time through phone and email and got nothing. We’re certain they were screening our calls. Eventually we had to submit a Better Business Bureau claim and lo and behold they finally got back to us and sent the check…. In regular post with no tracking number. Now we’re just crossing our fingers that it clears. We have also filed complains with the FTC and Florida Attorney General. This company is a scam out to steal your money. Beware.
