As a public campground, often managed by government entities like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (which frequently operates campgrounds on lakes and rivers in Tennessee, including the Cumberland River), Cedar Creek Campground typically operates under a standard rate structure. While specific promotional offers like those found at private campgrounds are less common, there are a few important points to consider for potential cost savings or special circumstances.
Visitors should be aware that there is an entry fee, which was noted as "$5 if I remember correctly" by a past visitor. This is often a per-vehicle fee for day use or general access to the recreational area. For camping, the site fees would be separate.
For those eligible, federal recreation passes such as the America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass (which includes Senior Passes and Access Passes) often provide discounts on camping fees at federally managed campgrounds. If Cedar Creek Campground falls under such management, qualifying individuals could receive a 50% discount on their campsite fee. It is highly recommended to check with the campground directly or consult official U.S. Army Corps of Engineers websites for specific details on pass eligibility and application.
For precise and up-to-date information on camping rates, any applicable daily entrance fees, reservation policies, and potential discounts, the best course of action is always to contact Cedar Creek Campground directly using the provided phone number. They will be able to provide the most current and accurate details to help you plan your visit and understand any costs involved.

For us Tennesseans, Cedar Creek Campground offers an ideal blend of natural escape and convenient access to the amenities we appreciate. We live in a state renowned for its outdoor beauty, and finding a campground that perfectly captures that essence, while still being easily reachable, is a significant win.
Its location in Mt. Juliet is a major advantage. We know that Mt. Juliet provides a growing array of local shops, restaurants, and services, meaning you're never far from anything you might need, from groceries to gas. But the real appeal is its direct relationship with Nashville. The ability to be "close enough to Nashville without being 'IN' Nashville" is crucial for many of us. It means we can enjoy the peace and quiet of camping by the beautiful Cumberland River, waking up to birdsong and fresh air, and then, if the mood strikes, take a short drive to enjoy a Titans game, explore Broadway, or catch a concert. This perfect balance allows us to tailor our outdoor experience to our desires, whether it's a full nature immersion or a blend of relaxation and city exploration.
The features of Cedar Creek Campground are also perfectly suited to the way Tennesseans often enjoy the outdoors. We value clean facilities, and the "really clean restroom facilities" are a huge plus. The "small beach area, perfect for kids" speaks directly to our family-oriented culture, offering a safe and enjoyable spot for children to play by the water. The adjacent public access area with its playground, volleyball courts, and even a disabled access ramp for swimming shows a thoughtful consideration for diverse recreational needs, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Furthermore, for those of us with RVs, the "long enough" sites for "larger RVs and tow vehicles" simplify the logistics of our trips, letting us focus on relaxation rather than wrestling with tight spaces. The tranquil atmosphere, enhanced by being on a "one way in one way out body of land," guarantees the quiet escape we often crave after a busy week.
Ultimately, Cedar Creek Campground isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a reflection of the Tennessee lifestyle. It’s a place where we can unwind by the water, enjoy quality time with family, and still have the option to easily dip into the vibrant culture of our state's capital. It’s no wonder so many of us mark this as a "must repeat" destination for our outdoor adventures.

Jun 03, 2025 · Jesse MoeJust wrapped a short stay at Cedar Creek Campground in Mt. Juliet TN. The grounds are clean and nicely arranged. There are a few sites that back up to the Cumberland River. The grounds ajoin to a public access and recreational area with a playground, volleyball courts, swimming area that has a disabled access ramp, public restrooms. Camp host was friendly and even directed us to enter a gate that better suited our RV and tow vehicle. The sites are long enough in some cases, for larger RVs. Your on a one way in one way out body of land that makes the visit tranquil. We marked this one as a must repeat because of it's proximity to Nashville without being "IN" Nashville.

May 21, 2025 · Tim DuncanBeautiful place to hang out...very close to the water so you can walk to it from your campsite. Beware of the sticky leaves coming off the trees...the sap stuck to everything...truck..trailer and came inside on shoes...small price to pay though for a great spot along the water...
Aug 28, 2024 · J BI like this park. It is well maintained. Strong water pressure, likely because of city water as this is an urban campground. That being said, super quiet with the exception of plane traffic, airport in the area. Staff is very nice and accommodating
