It focuses on providing reliable full hookups, offering both 50 amp and 30 amp service at every box, ensuring that modern RVs can power all their necessities. While some reviews offer mixed perspectives on management, the park's fundamental offering of quiet nights and essential services makes it a contender for those prioritizing convenience and a functional stay in a rural setting. Its accessibility and focus on providing a solid place to park make it a practical choice for many local Nebraskans and visitors alike.
Cedar Creek RV Park is conveniently located at 503 Greeley St, Oakdale, NE 68761, USA. This address places it squarely within the village of Oakdale, a small community in Antelope County, in the northeastern part of Nebraska. The park's location offers a genuine taste of rural Nebraska life, providing a peaceful retreat away from the noise and traffic of larger urban centers.
Oakdale itself is a small, quiet village, founded in 1872 and named for the numerous oak groves in the area. It sits on the south bank of Cedar Creek, contributing to the tranquil atmosphere. While Oakdale is small, it provides a sense of community and the essential quiet that many RVers seek. For more extensive services, shopping, or attractions, larger towns in Antelope County like Neligh are within a reasonable driving distance. Neligh offers a variety of museums, attractions, and local dining options, along with a hospital and other community services, making it a valuable hub for residents of the surrounding area. The park's address on Greeley Street in Oakdale suggests easy access within the village, making it simple for RVers to navigate to and from their site. For those traveling through Nebraska or working on projects in the surrounding agricultural or industrial areas, Cedar Creek RV Park's location provides a practical and accessible base.
Cedar Creek RV Park focuses on providing the essential services required for a comfortable and self-sufficient RV stay. Based on available public information and reviews, the park offers:
Full Hookups at Every Site: This is a key offering, meaning each site is equipped with connections for electricity, water, and sewer. This allows RVers to use their onboard facilities without needing to frequently visit dump stations or communal water spigots.
Dual Electrical Service (50 Amp / 30 Amp): The park provides both 50 amp and 30 amp electrical service at "every box." This versatility ensures that a wide range of RVs, from larger motorhomes requiring 50 amp to smaller trailers needing 30 amp, can be accommodated without the need for adapters.
Variety of Site Types (Shade/No Shade): Guests have the option to choose between "spots with no shade" (ideal for solar power or those who prefer open spaces) and "spots with plenty of shade" (offering relief from the Nebraska sun during warmer months). This caters to different preferences and needs.
Peaceful and Quiet Environment: While not a tangible "service," the park's commitment to providing a "peaceful and quiet at night" atmosphere is a significant benefit for guests seeking relaxation and good rest.
Suitability for Industry Workers: Specifically noted as a "perfect place to stay if you are in the industry," the park is well-suited for long-term stays for professionals working on projects in the area, suggesting an understanding of their specific needs.
On-Site Equipment Storage (Implied): One review mentions that the "owners store equipment near location," which could imply potential for limited guest equipment storage or simply speaks to the functional nature of the property and its focus on industrial-related stays.
It is important to clarify that while full hookups are standard, additional amenities often found at larger resort-style RV parks (such as bathhouses, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, cable TV, or recreational areas like playgrounds/pools) are not explicitly detailed in the provided information. For specific inquiries about such amenities, it is always best to contact the park directly.
Cedar Creek RV Park, despite potentially mixed reviews on management, possesses several key features that make it a compelling option for RV travelers in Nebraska:
Reliable Full Hookups with Dual Amperage: A significant highlight is the availability of "50 amp / 30 amp at every box plus full hook ups." This comprehensive utility offering ensures that all types of RVs, from the largest motorhomes to smaller travel trailers, can enjoy a comfortable stay with consistent power, water, and sewer access directly at their site.
Choice of Shaded or Open Sites: The park offers "spots with no shade spots with plenty of shade." This flexibility allows campers to select a site that best suits their preferences, whether they desire direct sunlight for solar panels or a cool, shaded spot for relaxation during hot Nebraska days.
Peaceful and Quiet Nights: As attested by a long-term guest, the park is notably "peaceful and quiet at night." This is a crucial feature for many RVers who seek a tranquil environment for rest and relaxation, away from urban noise or busy highways.
Ideal for Industry Professionals: One strong highlight is its suitability for those working in the "windmill industry." This suggests that the park understands the needs of long-term guests and potentially offers competitive rates or accommodations for this specific demographic, making it a reliable base for workers in the area.
Friendly Ownership (as per one review): One review highlights the owners as "very friendly, especially their kids." While there's a conflicting review, this positive feedback suggests that a welcoming and accommodating experience is possible and can be a significant draw for guests.
Practical and Functional Base: The park's focus on essential services makes it a highly practical choice. It provides exactly what's needed for a comfortable RV stay without unnecessary frills, appealing to those who prioritize functionality and convenience over resort-style amenities.
Small-Town Nebraska Charm: Located in Oakdale, the park offers an authentic small-town experience. This allows guests to enjoy the slower pace of rural life and provides a different kind of charm compared to urban or highly touristy RV parks.
These features collectively define Cedar Creek RV Park as a functional, peaceful, and accommodating option for a variety of RVers traversing or working within Nebraska.
As a privately owned RV park in a smaller community, Cedar Creek RV Park's approach to "promotions or special offers" is likely centered around competitive long-term rates rather than widely advertised discounts. RV parks often tailor their pricing to encourage extended stays, which is a common "special offer" in the industry.
Competitive Monthly/Extended Stay Rates: Given that one review specifically mentions staying "for a month while I was in the area working on the windmills," it's highly probable that Cedar Creek RV Park offers attractive rates for long-term guests. This is a common practice for parks catering to seasonal workers or those seeking an extended stay, providing a significant cost saving compared to nightly rates.
Straightforward and Value-Oriented Pricing: The primary "promotion" is likely the park's consistent provision of full 50/30 amp hookups at a competitive price point for the services offered. This focus on solid value is often more appealing to long-term guests and those on a budget than fleeting discounts.
It is important to note that specific details regarding nightly, weekly, or monthly rates are not publicly available in the provided information. Many RV parks, particularly smaller ones, prefer direct inquiries for pricing, especially for longer durations. Therefore, for the most accurate and up-to-date information on any current promotions, extended stay discounts, or specific rate structures, contacting Cedar Creek RV Park directly is highly recommended. It's always a good practice to inquire about any potential discounts for industry workers, veterans, seniors, or AAA/Good Sam members, although such offers are not guaranteed.
