Coachlight Mobile Home Comm, built in 1986 and comprising 50 units across one story, offers several features and highlights that contribute to its appeal as a residential option in Angola, Indiana:
-
Affordable Housing Option: Mobile home communities generally provide a more budget-friendly housing solution compared to traditional homes, whether through lot rent for owned manufactured homes or rental of units within the park. This makes it an accessible option for individuals and families seeking cost-effective living in the Angola area.
-
Pet-Friendly Community: A significant highlight is its clear policy as a "family and pet-friendly community," explicitly allowing cats and dogs. This is a crucial feature for pet owners looking for a welcoming environment for their furry companions (though typically with non-aggressive breed restrictions and pet limits).
-
Individual Home Living: Unlike traditional apartment complexes where units share walls, mobile homes in a community often offer detached or semi-detached living, providing more privacy, individual yards, and a greater sense of "homeownership" even for renters. Units often boast features like "wood front porch and a storage shed," enhancing this individual living experience.
-
Convenient Location for Local Amenities: As detailed in the "Location and Accessibility" section, the community's proximity to Trine University, Pokagon State Park, and various shopping centers in Angola adds considerable value. Residents can easily access education, recreation, and daily necessities.
-
In-Unit Amenities (for some units): Public listings for specific units within Coachlight Mobile Home Comm highlight amenities like "in-unit washer / dryer" and "A/C," indicating that many homes within the community come equipped with modern conveniences for comfortable living.
-
Sense of Community: Mobile home parks often foster a close-knit neighborhood feel, providing opportunities for residents to connect and build relationships within a shared environment.
-
Renovated Units: Some units, like a publicly listed 3-bedroom, 2-bath single-wide manufactured home, are described as "newly updated" with "new paint, flooring, a kitchen with an open floor plan," suggesting efforts to modernize and improve living spaces for residents.
-
Single-Story Living: The community consists of one-story units, which can be a desirable feature for individuals seeking easy accessibility or a preference for single-level living.
While some public feedback highlights concerns regarding management responsiveness, the underlying features of Coachlight Mobile Home Comm, particularly its affordability, pet-friendly nature, and convenient location, present a compelling option for those seeking a specific lifestyle in Angola.
Information regarding specific "promotions" or "special offers" from Coachlight Mobile Home Comm itself is not readily available in public data. Mobile home communities typically operate differently from apartment complexes or retail businesses when it comes to promotional activities. Their "offers" are more often related to the overall pricing structure for lot rent, the sale price of homes within the community, or financing options.
Based on publicly available listings for homes within Coachlight Mobile Home Comm, here are some points that might be considered aspects of their offerings, even if not explicitly termed "promotions":
-
Competitive Pricing for Homes: Public listings for units, such as a 3-bedroom, 2-bath manufactured home for sale at $30,000 (cash) or $35,000 (with in-house financing), indicate a focus on providing more affordable housing options compared to traditional homes in the area. This competitive pricing itself serves as a value proposition for those on a budget.
-
In-House Financing: The mention of "in-house financing for $35,000 (20% DP, $7,000) Approximate monthly payments of $1,064 (5-year)" for a specific unit is a significant offering. This can make homeownership more accessible to individuals who might face challenges securing traditional bank loans, effectively acting as a form of financial "special offer."
-
Utilities Included in Rent (for some units): For rental units or lot leases where certain utilities, like "Garbage included in rent," are covered, this represents a cost saving for the resident, which can be viewed as an indirect promotion.
-
Pet-Friendly Policy: While not a financial promotion, the explicit allowance of pets (with certain conditions) is a highly valued feature for many residents and can be a deciding factor, acting as a "special offer" for pet-owning households who might struggle to find suitable housing elsewhere.
Given the nature of mobile home communities, any "special offers" would most likely be related to the terms of lease, home sales, or move-in incentives. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on any current availability, pricing details, or potential offers, prospective residents should directly contact Coachlight Mobile Home Comm using the provided phone numbers. It is crucial to engage directly with their leasing office or management to discuss terms and verify all details, especially given some public feedback about communication.

For Indiana locals considering their housing options, Coachlight Mobile Home Comm in Angola presents a distinct opportunity that, despite some reported challenges in communication, aligns with specific needs and preferences for community living within the Hoosier State.
Firstly, its appeal lies significantly in offering a potentially more affordable pathway to independent living or homeownership in a desirable area. In a housing market where traditional homes can be out of reach for many, manufactured homes often provide a budget-conscious alternative. For Indiana residents looking to escape higher rent costs or achieve a sense of having their own space without the full financial burden of a traditional mortgage, Coachlight offers a practical solution. The availability of units, sometimes with in-house financing, further broadens accessibility for those seeking a stable residence.
Secondly, the community's location in Angola is a major draw. Nestled in Indiana's "Lake Country," residents have easy access to the natural beauty and recreational opportunities that the region is famous for, including the vast Lake James and the extensive amenities of Pokagon State Park. This means a lifestyle where outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and water sports are just a short drive away. Additionally, its proximity to Trine University and Angola's downtown area ensures convenient access to education, shopping, dining, and local services, blending the tranquility of suburban living with urban conveniences. For Indiana families and individuals who value a balance between nature and accessibility, this location is ideal.
Furthermore, the pet-friendly policy is a significant highlight for many Indiana households. Knowing that their beloved cats and dogs are welcome (within reasonable guidelines) allows pet owners to find a comfortable home without the stress of restrictive pet policies often found in other rental markets. This inclusive approach fosters a more relaxed and complete family environment.
While some public feedback points to areas where management responsiveness could improve, the underlying structure of Coachlight Mobile Home Comm offers the core elements many locals seek: individual living spaces, a sense of community, and a strategic location in a scenic part of Indiana. For those prioritizing affordability, autonomy, and access to outdoor recreation, Coachlight Mobile Home Comm remains a viable consideration for establishing roots in Angola. It offers a chance to build a home and a life in a community that is deeply connected to the natural charm and friendly spirit of Indiana.
Customer Reviews
The number listed doesnt work, no applications anywhere and no one at the leasing office, the amount of $ theyre wanting for these run down infested trailers is ridiculous
I filled out an application over a month ago and the last I heard from Angela the park "manager " she said once they verify my past landlords they will be contacting me.... this was over a week ago, I personally know my past landlords and neither of them have even been contacted yet. They are evidently in no hurry to move me and my family in and would rather leave us to be homeless until they decide to get the show on the road. I have called multiple times, texted and left several voicemails only to be ignored every single time. I don't even live here but I would Not recommend due to lack in timeliness and professionalism
These people want a ton of money for mobile homes that the roof needs repaired, the floors need repaired, the windows need replaced. They are older then dirt and asking like 4-10 thousand for them. Outrageous.
Bedbugs like crazy. Evicted us even tho the rent was paid up. While I was in the icu with renal failure
