We stayed in site RV S-5 over Memorial Day weekend. This is overlooking the water. There was 30amp and water available. The staff was friendly and the view, bands, and bar selection was good. Our camper barely met the length requirement to stay in that site. Our issue was that they placed a camper next to us that was way too big, they turned it sideways and it took up S-7, S-6 and half of our site. Also to make things worse, the multiple families staying in it had zero camping etiquette. They constantly walked next to and around our camper day and night, also they parked their bikes between our camper and theirs, barely leaving a path for us to walk to our door. They also had lots of people coming and going, through our site was their entryway. We tried to be nice, because there were a lot of people in a tight space. The last night there the other camper pulled out and it was great! I blame the campground for allowing the situation! They need to correct the website with accurate pictures and descriptions of each site. We should have asked for 1/2 of our money back for 2 of the 3 nights we were there, because we could only use half of our site that we paid a premium for. We never would have made reservations if we knew this was how tight things were going to be. We should’ve left, but we were meeting my son who was biking the Katy Trail. There are only 3 decent RV sites, S-2, S-3, & S-4. There are so many nice things about the place that I hope this encourages the owners to improve the website and not allow the situation to happen again.
May 29, 2025 · Thomas SeibI've been coming here for 16 years and I fell in love with this place my first time there. I was lucky enough to work at Cooper's one summer and loved every second of it. The owners are some of the best people I've ever met in this town. They have done so much out there to improve the space. There's nothing like a cold beer, live music and watching the river move.
Apr 18, 2025 · Vanessa MartinLoved this place! What a great place to stop in off the Katy Trail and enjoy a few beers while overlooking the Missouri River. The staff was nice and friendly and the bathrooms were clean. It's a mandatory stop off the Katy!!
May 23, 2025 · Blair FrockThe road into the "resort" caked our truck and RV with white gunk. Had to share water faucet but thankfully didn't affect us much. We were glad to have a place to lay our heads but would probably not book there again. The lake was stagnant and gave the place an "I don't care about things around here"....sorry but have to be honest..
May 30, 2025 · Dave and Linda FisherThis place has so much good going for it! Live music, good food trucks, calming river views and camping! How can you go wrong?! The only difficult things are on gravel and they use porta-potties. They are nice ones though.
