Did not stay, but had a very bad experience with the "manager" and unpleasant conversation with the park owner. I was working to make a deliver when my truck broke down. For safty reasons I pulled off of the busy highway, US 6, and then into the large empty drive of the campground. I had a 25 foot trailer so this worked well due to the drive being built for campers to maneuver. I then went to the park manager and explained my truck was overheating and I couldn't move my truck and asked to wait here till a tow truck arrived. She did not allow me to stay and continued to tell me to leave dispite not being able to drive more than 100 yards with out overheating and stalling. I then called the campground owner and talked to her. She was originally going to charge me for parking, but then changed her mind saying there was not room. I would have been happy to pay for a hour of parking. This caused me alot of trouble trying to slowly ( 100 yards at a time) find a safe place to park. They claimed there was no room to park and aggressively asked me to leave. I did so to avoid any more conflict and this caused extensive damage to my truck (cracked radiator). It is very sad that the owner and manager couldn't even help someone for just 1.5 hours... Dispite willingness to pay for the parking time. For this reason I would never stay at this campground and truly do not recommend anyone else to do so. I can only imagine the future problems you would have if the management is this unwilling to help with something as simple as a parking spot.

This place has been a blessing over the years, most recently I had family come up from Florida for a wedding. They just needed a place to park the motorhome for a few bucks. Cottonwood is a No frills camping location providing a basic tent or RV location for weekend plans in the area. This is a Budget freindly option when you have more important things to focus on. Keep up the good work Cottonwood!

This is an extremely basic campground. I camp here when spending the weekends hunting or fishing on the lakes. The rates are super cheap which is ideal when you are spending all of your time away from camp. This is not a "family fun" campground with stuff for the kids to do. It's essentially a lawn with some trees that you can pull a camper on to crash. Also, its right on a somewhat busy road so there can be traffic noise. Its been two years since my last visit but Mark used to be the caretaker and he is a great guy.

Who needs Yellow Stone National Park when you have Cottonwood Campgrounds. I have never personally stayed at Cottonwood due to the fact that I do not own a camper but I have passed it a countless number of times on trips. For years passing Cottonwood has never failed to be the highlight of my road trips through Indiana. It rests in a convenient location between Ligoneer and Napanee, and folks traveling through the area will never be let down by the intriguing culture of the Amish. It is my dream that one day I can spend the night on that quarter-mile strip of grass and listen to the inconsistent passing of cars throughout the night. I love you Cottonwood Campgrounds.

Summer-long campers were allowed to park their rv sideways blocking part of ours. Their 2 chiwawas roamed off leash when out & though generally stayed on their site, would head elsewhere to poop, and no clean up. Were allowed many more guests than rules allowed. I guess for some, rules are allowed to be broken.
