Customer Reviews
It's amazing, so fun for the kids and great community nice crosswalks and an ice cream shop and more it's amazing
We didn't stay here but stopped in to see the dam. Very nice area and views. Fun to see crayfish.
Very nice campground with ample room for rv, vehicle and gatherings. Quiet at a reasonable hour and friendly staff. We were able to watch the current landscaping project thing on in Crosslake. We had so much fun hiking, watching the sunset and visiting with staff.
This is a typical Army Corp Engineers Campground. Typical in that it is clean, well designed, and plenty of space for backing into your site. There is a lot of room in most of the sites for parking an additional car. Many campers kept their boats at their site, but there are plenty of parking areas at the launch ramps for your boat and trailer. Most sites only have electricity. There are fill stations for water, and at the dump stations, there are two dump sites and potable water. All of the sites that I surveyed seemed level and clear of any overhanging limbs. The staff here run a tight ship. We had parked our Jeep on the grass just long enough to get our motorhome in when the rangers came by and mentioned that we would need to move the Jeep. They were very nice about it. One day, we came back and found that our site had been raked and cleaned of leaves while we were away. The staff is very conscientious. Be sure to go for a two hour boat ride on Cross Lake with the staff from the National Loon Center. You can book your free tickets online or go by the National Loon Center and register. The boat leaves from the dock (closets to the dam) in the campground.
The campground is nice. There are two swimming areas. I accidentally booked a non-electric site but that's on me. Lots of things within walking distance which is nice and kind of unusual for a campground. The lake is beautiful and clean. The main playground was qrecked and hasnt been replaced but at least there is a backup.
