The staff were not very friendly or helpful in volunteering information about things. We ask about fishing and if a license was needed. We were told yes a license was needed. The lady did not tell us she sold them there. The park itself is very nice. Voltage never dropped below 114V and water pressure was good. Sites were level with gravel. Roads in the campground are narrow and paved with potholes on the edges. There were picnic tables and fire pits.
Wry nice campground with an amazing view of the lake!
MUST GO: CYPRESS LAKEFRONT Site 43 is the best spot! Overlooking the lake, easy accessible trails from your campsite down to the lake. 4 walking trails. Camp store has a walkout pier and glass indoor viewing area. Customer service was fantastic.
More expensive than some other state’s parks, this a nice water side campground. Bathrooms clean and heated. Not crowded in January and electric and water are on. Cheaper campsites available in Lakeshore section, but road in is quite rough. We use Santee SP every year on our way to Florida. Dog friendly.
