Stopped at Taw Caw for a couple of nights in our RV. Location is beautiful as it sits on Lake Marion. If you like to fish this is a great stop. The Campground is old and mostly houses RV’s of people that lease to visit on weekends, holidays and during vacation time but, they do have an open row that is waterfront for travelers. The sites are close together and basically grass and dirt , no RV pads but still not bad as far as leveling and let’s just say views & location outweigh the unkept sites. As a 38 ft pusher arrived next to us I was a bit concerned but they fit in fine. The campground/store manager Jimmy is one of the nicest guys you can meet. We had great conversation and decided he is very proactive in keeping watch over the campground and the people in it (the world needs more people like Jimmy) The only downfall is that there is a lot of geese droppings so watch your step. That being said I love seeing and watching the geese fly in and out so as the saying goes if life gives you lemons (droppings) make lemonade (enjoy Gods creation at its finest). Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did !

Lovely staff, peaceful and serene. We got there late after booking the same day, but that was no problem for the staff that greeted us. We fished later at night and had a great time on the quiet dock under the stars. We will be back!

Super accommodating! They called to make sure we were still arriving before closing the office and then when we arrived (after closing time) they greeted us with a smile and welcomed us in and showed us to our site. Super convenient to have the boat launch right there. Every time I walked or drove by everyone waved and smiled. It’s not a brand new campground and doesn’t have concrete pads but they have water front sites and nice grass sites. They do have rules that help keep the campground nice but we never found the rules to be hard to follow. Respect the property and they respect you. I would definitely stay here again.
