As a campground managed by the U.S. Forest Service within the Ocala National Forest, Doe Lake Campground primarily operates on a standard fee structure rather than frequent promotional sales typical of private commercial parks. However, it does offer consistent value and specific discount opportunities for eligible individuals:
- Affordable Nightly Rates: The standard nightly fee for campsites (both RV and tent) is $27. This is a competitive price for a well-maintained campground with amenities like hot showers and flush toilets in a scenic national forest setting.
- Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes: Holders of these federal passes are entitled to a 50% discount on single campsites. This is a significant benefit for U.S. citizens or permanent residents aged 62 or older (Senior Pass) or those with permanent disabilities (Access Pass), making camping at Doe Lake even more affordable. More information on these passes can be found at recreation.gov.
- Cabin Rentals: While not a discount, the availability of 10 cabins for rent offers a distinct "package" or alternative for those seeking a more comfortable stay without the need for an RV or tent. Pricing for cabins would be separate from campsites.
- Group Site Opportunities: Although the provided reviews focus on general camping, federal campgrounds often have designated group sites (which Doe Lake also has) that can be a cost-effective option for large gatherings, though they typically have a flat rate rather than per-person discounts.
It's important to note that payment at federal campgrounds is generally cashless, requiring reservations to be made through Recreation.gov. Any applicable discounts would be applied during the online booking process. While specific seasonal "promotions" in the commercial sense are not common, the consistent affordability and federal pass discounts make Doe Lake a highly accessible and value-driven option for a wide range of local campers and groups.

Awesome venue for our daughters wedding. Darryl the groundskeeper was amazing!
Gorgeous! This is a beautiful camping area! I loved waking up & going to sleep with the lake as my view. The bathroom facilities were large, warm, and clean! They even had showers. There is a beautiful old lodge building for dining. The wood work was incredible! The main fire pit was huge, perfect for dozens of people! I definitely recommend checking it out!!
My brother got married here, very beautiful venue. I highly recommend this place for an event or even a large family camping trip. We stayed in RV’s but there is not a site to dump. This wasn’t an issue since they have a full service bath house and was able to shower and use the restroom just fine!
Doe Lake is such an amazing campground and we had perfect weather for a wedding day here. Friends gathered under the oak trees to witness their vows and dined in the main hall. Doe lake is easy to find and perfect to get away from it all. Come for the sunsets over the lake and stay for Smores over the Campfire.
We are a rental company, been to this location three times so far. Always clean, gorgeous and perfect. Our only regret is we did not get married here ourselves! -Farmer and the Dell
