Promotions or Special Offers

As a non-profit organization focused on providing a retreat experience, DOVR - Dairyland Outdoor Veterans Retreat's "promotions" are more likely to be centered around its mission and value, rather than traditional commercial discounts. While specific public offers aren't typically detailed on review sites, the core value proposition is the quality of the experience at what is often a very reasonable price point for the peace and amenities offered.

Given its primary dedication to veterans, it is highly probable that active service members, veterans, and their families may receive preferential rates or specific accommodations that are not widely advertised to the general public. This aligns with the retreat's mission.

For any inquiries regarding specific rates, availability, or potential special considerations for veterans or other groups, it is strongly recommended to contact DOVR directly via phone. Their accommodating staff and management are best equipped to provide the most current and accurate information on pricing and any programs they might offer. Since reviews highlight that "the organization in charge cares about this property," this often translates to a willingness to work with guests on their specific needs.

Campers should also inquire about the types of sites available (e.g., RV, tent, cabin) and their respective pricing. Given the emphasis on cleanliness and quiet, the value of the experience at DOVR often surpasses the monetary cost, offering a serene escape that is priceless for those seeking tranquility in Wisconsin's Northwoods.

We stayed here for a September weekend recently and had a really nice time. The grounds and facilities were very clean and you can tell that the organization in charge cares about this property. There was a small playground for kids, a couple bikes of different sizes that were free to use, and there is firewood on site. It's on a small flowage with a small dam and creek. No water access for boating or swimming though, you'll have to head to a nearby lake if that's the kind of activities you enjoy. Your rig will get dirty getting there, it's about 4 miles of dusty dirt road once you turn off the highway. And then 4 miles back out but it is worth it for the peace and quite.

Thank you DOVR for for providing such a nice place for us to be able to hang out. The Allen cabin is a peaceful place to get away and shower and feel fresh for our weekend. Beautifully done. Can’t wait to return and see what else you have added to the cabins to continue the beautiful look.

Not a soul in sight. It was deserted when I arrived on a Tuesday. Arrived at 0900 and left at 1500. No one for 6 hours. Everything was locked. It is supposed to be a veterans retreat, like it says in its name, not a campground in the middle of nowhere with absolutely no one available to talk to you. I think I was hoodwinked. Lesson learned. Do not go there during the weekday. You will be disappointed!
