Fairgrounds RV Park offers a range of essential services designed to provide a comfortable and hassle-free stay for all RVers. Their commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction is evident in the facilities and support they provide. Here's a detailed look at the services available:

  • Diverse Hookup Options: The park provides various hookup choices to accommodate different RV needs. Guests can find sites with 30-amp power and water, as well as more comprehensive 50-amp sites which are often full hookup, including sewer connections. While some 30-amp sites may require longer hoses for water spigots, these are generally not considered a major issue and are easily managed by campers with standard equipment.
  • Dump Station: For sites without direct sewer hookups, a readily accessible and easy-to-use dump station is available on the grounds. This ensures that all campers have a convenient way to manage their waste.
  • Immaculate Restrooms and Showers: A consistent highlight in guest reviews is the exceptional cleanliness of the park's bathrooms and showers. They are regularly maintained to an immaculate standard, providing a comfortable and hygienic experience for all users, which is a significant factor in any camping or RV park stay.
  • Online Reservation System: The park offers a super easy day-of reservation system online, allowing for spontaneous travel plans. This convenience streamlines the booking process, making it simple to secure a spot even on short notice.
  • On-Site Payment: Guests typically pay the host upon arrival, with options for cash or check. This personal interaction adds a friendly touch to the check-in process.
  • Dedicated Campground Host (Karen): The presence of an exceptional campground host, Karen, is a major service highlight. She is consistently praised for her legendary helpfulness, willingness to answer numerous questions (especially concerning event-related site moves), and dedication to ensuring every guest has an amazing stay. Her friendly and supportive approach significantly enhances the overall experience.
  • Well Water: The park provides good quality water, ensuring a reliable and clean supply for campers' needs.

Fairgrounds RV Park boasts several unique features and highlights that contribute to its exceptional reputation and make it a highly desirable destination for RVers in Wisconsin:

  • Unbeatable Spaciousness Between Sites: A standout feature is the generous spacing between individual campsites. Unlike many RV parks where sites are "on top of each other," Fairgrounds RV Park offers ample room, with some campers noting their closest neighbor is approximately 75 yards away. This provides an unparalleled sense of privacy, peace, and quiet, allowing campers to truly relax and enjoy their surroundings without feeling crowded.
  • Prime Fairgrounds Location with Event Access: Being directly on the Dodge County Fairgrounds offers a distinct and exciting advantage. During major events like the county fair, campers have direct, easy access to all the rides, games, food vendors, and events. This unique perk allows guests to experience the fair from their "home steps," creating an immersive and highly convenient experience that is rarely found at other RV parks.
  • Exceptional Cleanliness and Maintenance: The park maintains an incredibly high standard of cleanliness across all its facilities. Reviewers consistently praise the "immaculate" bathrooms and showers, well-kept grounds with "no trash," and frequently mowed lawns. This dedication to cleanliness ensures a pleasant and comfortable environment for all guests.
  • Legendary Customer Service by Karen: The campground host, Karen, receives rave reviews and is frequently described as "a LEGEND" and "the BEST." Her willingness to go above and beyond, answering numerous questions and ensuring a pleasant stay, significantly enhances the guest experience. This personalized and friendly service fosters a welcoming atmosphere and contributes greatly to guest satisfaction.
  • Versatile for Short or Long-Term Stays: The park's amenities, pricing, and overall environment make it suitable for both quick overnight stops while traveling and extended stays, such as for those working in the area. This flexibility caters to a wide range of RVers' needs.
  • Variety of Site Types and Ease of Parking: Fairgrounds RV Park offers a mix of site types, including level grass sites for 30-amp hookups and gravel back-in sites for 50-amp full hookups. The flat nature of the fairgrounds ensures "easy pull thru for most sites" and "more than enough room for a motorhome or massive 5th wheel," simplifying parking for all sizes of RVs.
  • Peaceful Atmosphere (Outside of Events): When no events are taking place, the park is described as "peaceful and quiet," offering a tranquil retreat despite its fairgrounds location. This duality allows it to cater to both those seeking excitement and those desiring serenity.

While Fairgrounds RV Park's pricing is noted as "great" by customers, and they generally maintain consistent value, specific, real-time promotions or special offers are not explicitly detailed in the provided information. However, based on the nature of the park and common practices, potential promotions or benefits could include:

  • Affordable Long-Term Rates: Given that the park is suitable for "short or long term" stays and described as having "great prices," it's highly probable they offer more economical weekly or monthly rates for extended visits. This would be particularly appealing to individuals traveling for work or those looking for a seasonal base in Wisconsin. It's always recommended to inquire about these specific rates directly.
  • Fair Event Packages: During the Dodge County Fair or other major events on the fairgrounds, the park might offer special packages or pricing that includes admission to the event, or guaranteed prime spots for RVers who wish to be immersed in the fair experience. The fact that a camper was "compensated" for moving during the fair also suggests a structured and fair approach to managing high-demand periods.
  • Returning Customer Incentives: While not confirmed, RV parks with excellent customer service and high satisfaction rates often reward returning guests with small discounts or priority booking. If you enjoyed your stay, it's worth asking about any loyalty programs for future visits.
  • Off-Season Pricing: During quieter periods outside of the peak summer months or major fairgrounds events, there might be slightly reduced rates to attract visitors, making it an even more budget-friendly option for a peaceful getaway.

Looked at lots of places to camp in the general area, as I am traveling for work. Prices are great, very nice grounds, bathrooms and shower are always immaculate. I like that the campsites are spread out, not on top of each other. Closest camper to me is about 75yds away. It is a fairground, so it is flat, with a few trees, but it sure beats the concrete jungle options. I was staying here when the county fair arrived, had to move spots during the fair(which I knew ahead of time, and was compensated for), was really cool to be on the Fairgrounds during the fair. Access to the rides, games, food and events was easy, especially when you are steps from your home. Moved back to my previous spot after the fair left, staying in a 30amp site with water and power, no sewer hookup. Dump station on grounds, easily accessible. My site is all grass as I believe most are, some sites that are 50amp I believe, are on gravel with full hookup. Easy pull thru for most sites except the 50amps, they are back in I believe, with more than enough room for a motorhome or massive 5th wheel. Water spigots can be far to run a hose to for the 30 and 20 sites, but not a big deal. Water is good, no complaints there. Grounds are well kept, no trash, lawn mowed frequently, all around very clean. The campground host Karen is a LEGEND!!! Answered all of my questions before I booked a site(which i had a lot cause of the fair move), always willing to help and make sure your stay is amazing!! She is the BEST!!! Would definitely recommend staying here for short or long term.

We only stayed overnight as we were traveling through. It was super easy to make day of reservation online. You pay host when you arrive (cash or check) $30 for 30 amp. Karen the host met us at the gate and guided us to our spot. She was very kind super friendly. The park was a beautifully groomed level grass field. Plenty of space. Wifi worked fine although Karen warned me it may not give good signal as we were in back field. It was peaceful and quite. No event was going on at the fairgrounds. Recommend.

It would be unfair to compare this park to privately-owned or state parks which have more amenities; so, for what it is (on fairgrounds property), it is a decent place. We were visiting with family in town for about a week and this was the only park that had full hookups and a site large enough to accommodate our 40' fifth wheel. It should be noted that our site was one of only four that had full hookups that included sewer. Also, your AC should be in top working condition if you plan on staying here in hot weather as shade is hard to come by. Camp hosts Paul and Pam were very accommodating. We asked them if they could bring a picnic table to our site so we could have family over for a BBQ - they brought one over with a forklift. Nice folks.

This us such a pretty place. The sites were big. Ours was a pull through & we were off by ourselves. We saw a few more campers scattered around. I would love to be there when they are having an event. They have so much room & the grounds are pretty. We would definitely stay here again.
