This is the best primitive campground we have stayed in. They do have water spigots in several places. There are also hitching posts for horses for overnight use. You can stay nightly or daily, weekly, or for a full hunting season. There are plenty of hunting areas and trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
May 31, 2025 · Lisa ClarkBeautiful place, about 36 campsites with garbage and water as well as vault style toilets, not sure how clean as I didn't go in. $5 per day to camp $3 for day use. If you like horses this place is for you. There are a lot of horses that come through here.
Mar 21, 2023 · cheryl gibbsGreat equestrian trails with several miles. Lots of trail challenges along the ride. Scenery is fantastic. Back country horsemen of SC help maintain the trails in partnership with others for the enjoyment of all.
Mar 10, 2025 · Aimee St. ClairI have not camped here, but used the day parking for horseback riding. Small 3 dollar fee for day use, 5 dollar fee for camping. Easy trailer parking. Lots of grassy area and a couple big shade trees for the horses pleasure after a nice long run. The grass is in the day parking area, I don't know about the camp area which is a short driveway further. I did see the camp area and don't recall much grass, but a lot of shade. Water spigot at day area is also super nice to have! Hardly anybody there both weekends I went. Love, love the well marked, wide single track trails. Looks well maintained and excellent footing in my opinion. Bathroom in camp area and looks like shared campfire ring. Only 5 dollars to camp. I will try one time for sure.
Jul 06, 2020 · Adrian KerriganLove this place! Quiet, shaded, spring water available at spigots, AFFORDABLE! Harder to find a spot in fall though due to hunters buying spots out for the season.
