Forest Green Family Community About
When considering a new place to live, especially within a mobile home park, it's essential to gather as much information as possible to make an informed decision. For Floridians exploring housing options in the Port Richey area, Forest Green Family Community may appear as a possibility. It aims to be a family-oriented community in a convenient Florida location.
However, it is crucial for prospective residents to be aware of certain public feedback regarding this community, particularly concerning management practices and deposit refunds. We understand that finding a suitable and reliable home is a top priority for families in Florida, and our goal in this article is to provide a factual overview based on available public data, allowing you to approach your housing search with all necessary considerations.
This article will outline the location and accessibility of Forest Green Family Community, present any publicly known services and features, and critically, highlight important details gleaned from recent customer reviews, particularly concerning the application and refund process. Our aim is to help you, a local Floridian, understand the full picture before considering this community for your housing needs.
Forest Green Family Community is located at 14033 Bream Dr, Port Richey, FL 34669, USA. Port Richey is a city in Pasco County, Florida, situated along the Gulf Coast. This location offers residents the advantage of being near coastal attractions, various amenities, and major transportation routes in the region.
For Floridians, the Port Richey area is known for its blend of suburban comfort and access to outdoor activities, particularly water-related recreation like fishing, boating, and enjoying the Gulf beaches. The address places the community within reasonable proximity to US-19, a primary north-south artery along Florida's west coast, facilitating travel to neighboring cities like New Port Richey, Hudson, and Spring Hill. Larger metropolitan areas such as Tampa and St. Petersburg, offering more extensive shopping, dining, entertainment, and employment opportunities, are also within a practical commuting distance. This connectivity is generally beneficial for residents who work in the surrounding areas or wish to enjoy the broader cultural and recreational offerings of the Tampa Bay region.
The location on Bream Drive suggests a residential setting, likely integrated within the local Port Richey neighborhood. For local users, the accessibility to local schools, healthcare facilities, and everyday conveniences would typically be a consideration, and the Port Richey area generally provides these services. While the location itself offers convenience, prospective residents should consider this in conjunction with other aspects of the community, particularly operational experiences.
Based on the provided information, which primarily consists of customer reviews detailing operational issues rather than a list of services, it is challenging to comprehensively detail the standard services offered by Forest Green Family Community. Mobile home parks typically offer basic services that facilitate residential living.
Common services in mobile home parks generally include:
- Mobile Home Lots: Provision of designated spaces for residents to place their mobile homes, usually with hookups for utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity.
- Community Management: On-site or accessible management to handle resident inquiries, maintenance requests for common areas, and enforce park rules. However, reviews indicate significant issues with the quality and responsiveness of management at this specific location.
It is important to note that the provided customer reviews heavily focus on negative experiences related to the application process, communication from management, and issues with deposit refunds. These concerns overshadow any potential positive service offerings, as the fundamental process of securing a home and receiving appropriate communication appears to be a significant challenge for applicants. Therefore, while a mobile home park inherently provides a place to live, the quality of related services, particularly administrative and communicative aspects, is critically called into question by the public feedback.
When assessing Forest Green Family Community, it's important to consider that the provided customer reviews do not highlight traditional amenities or positive features typically associated with attractive mobile home parks (e.g., community centers, pools, organized events). Instead, the reviews primarily focus on critical operational issues, which, in this context, become the most prominent "features" or defining characteristics from a customer experience perspective.
- Concerns Regarding Application Process and Communication: A recurring theme in the reviews is significant frustration with the application process. Applicants report being told units would be available "next week," only to face prolonged delays, lack of communication, and unfulfilled promises. This suggests a potentially disorganized or uncommunicative system for new residents.
- Issues with Deposit Refunds: Multiple reviewers describe difficulties in receiving refunds for security or holding deposits, even after units were not provided as promised or after applicants chose to withdraw. This is a critical concern, indicating potential challenges in financial transactions with the park. The BBB also highlights a pattern of complaints regarding unrefunded deposits.
- Management Turnover and Unprofessionalism: Reviews specifically mention a switch in management and describe subsequent interactions as "unprofessional" and lacking "enthusiasm." Consistent, professional, and responsive management is a vital feature of any community, and its perceived absence here is a significant negative highlight.
- Lack of Timely Unit Availability: Despite assurances, applicants consistently faced situations where units were not ready or available within the promised timeframe, leading to inconvenience and financial strain (e.g., losing a deposit that could be used elsewhere).
- Negative Community Sentiment: The urgency in reviews, with phrases like "run as fast as you can" and "SCAM," reflects a deeply negative sentiment from individuals who have directly interacted with the park's administrative processes. This indicates a challenging experience for prospective tenants.
It is imperative for anyone considering Forest Green Family Community to understand that these operational issues are the most highlighted "features" based on available public feedback, rather than positive amenities or community attributes. The Better Business Bureau also notes a pattern of complaints regarding deposits and unit availability.
There is no information available regarding specific promotions or special offers for Forest Green Family Community. Given the nature of the public reviews, which focus heavily on issues with the application process, communication, and deposit refunds, it would be highly advisable for any prospective resident to prioritize clarity on all financial arrangements.
Before committing any funds, individuals should:
- Request all terms and conditions for deposits and holding fees in writing.
- Understand the exact timeline for unit availability and what recourse is available if these timelines are not met.
- Clarify the precise conditions under which any deposit or fee is refundable, and the process for obtaining such a refund, including contact information for the main office if different from on-site management.
The existing reviews indicate that promises of units and keys were made without being fulfilled, and that refund processes were difficult, leading to forfeiture of funds. Therefore, while promotions are not listed, the most important "offer" to seek is transparent and reliable communication and a clear understanding of all financial commitments and their associated risks.
For any inquiries related to Forest Green Family Community, including availability or administrative processes, you can use the following contact details:
- Address: 14033 Bream Dr, Port Richey, FL 34669, USA
- Phone: (727) 378-5695
- Mobile Phone: +1 727-378-5695
Given the significant concerns raised in public reviews regarding communication and responsiveness, it is strongly recommended that any contact be thoroughly documented. This includes keeping records of dates and times of calls, names of individuals spoken to, and summaries of conversations. If sending written correspondence, consider using certified mail to ensure proof of delivery, especially when dealing with financial matters like deposit refunds. You may also wish to consult the Better Business Bureau profile for this business for additional information or to review past complaints.
When considering Forest Green Family Community, local Floridians must approach with caution and conduct thorough due diligence. While its location in Port Richey offers typical Florida advantages, such as proximity to coastal areas and regional amenities, the overriding public feedback points to significant challenges in the park's operational and management practices.
For Floridians seeking a reliable and straightforward housing solution, the experiences detailed in customer reviews — including issues with communication, unit availability, and deposit refunds — are critical considerations. These accounts suggest potential difficulties in securing a home and managing financial transactions, which could be particularly stressful for individuals and families needing stable and dependable housing. The advice from former applicants to "run as fast as you can" and the BBB's pattern of complaints regarding unrefunded deposits should serve as strong indicators for any prospective resident.
Therefore, while the address offers geographic suitability within the Tampa Bay area, the community's suitability for locals ultimately hinges on their willingness to navigate potential administrative complexities and financial risks highlighted by previous applicants. It is imperative for any Floridian considering Forest Green Family Community to verify all details independently, obtain all agreements in writing, and exercise extreme caution with any financial commitments to ensure a secure and positive housing experience.
Customer Reviews
Do not even bother with this place. I urge you to run as fast as you can if you’ve already been approved for a home here. We applied back in March for a unit and were told several times that one would be available next week. Until finally no word, management switched and this lady, well she lacked the enthusiasm like Teesha but still quite unprofessional. She promised us a unit and keys in a week, promised a pick up, promised to call and then we never heard from her. After researching the BBB reviews and reviews here we immediately requested a refund. That was over two weeks ago and we have yet to hear anything back. Mind you, we put down a FULL deposit over $1000. That we could be using to put down on another home. I have never experienced management like this in my life and I feel so sorry for the tenants that currently live here. Get out if you can.
SCAM. I applied for a unit. I was told nothing was available, but if I put up $400, I could put a hold on the next one available. I was also assured that the money would go toward a deposit, and if I ended up not getting a place, I could send a certified letter to the main office and get a check for my money back. I waited more than a month and was told several times nothing was available. I finally got another place, and called the office. I was told to come by and get the information about where I needed to send the letter. I did. Then I got a letter, with no phone number, saying I had forfeited the money because I didn’t get a unit. So, according to them, 10 you pay money for a hold; 2) you have to wait until whenever; 3) you don’t get your money back even if you don’t get a unit.
Trailers are a dump. Not what’s in the pictures. Bug infest and no maintenance. Management is non existent, air conditioner issues no one to contact.. weeks without ac and expected to pay rent. The owners here do not care if your suffering at their expense… place needs management but good luck
Only giving one star just to post this.. Application fee isn't waived as ad says. It's 70.00 per adult non refundable, next if you have dogs they make go all the way to sefner to be approved by 'vice present' this place jerked me around for 3 weeks. And then 4 days in a row called me saying " we received a call saying your looking for a rental?" I got absolutely no response from anyone about my application the pictures and bad reviews are ALL TRUE this place is a abomination and all the locations need to be shutdown permanently.
My name is jacob greene, I put a hold down of 400 dollars I mailed a letter to git my deposit back and received a letter with no name no contact info saying I forfeited my deposit because I didnt comply with my agreement. This is crazy I demand my money back. I never was contacted with a unit, because none came available that were what I asked for. THIS IS SUCH A SCAMMMMMM!!!!! I NEED MY MONEY AND FOREST GREEN FAMILY COMMUNITIES IS FRAUD. I WANT MY 400 DOLLARS BACK
