Whew, where to begin.. we booked this campground for a week and a half by finding it on CampSpot. The photos on CampSpot looked decent enough for us to stay here for that length of time. A few days before our trip, I read some reviews about holes (potholes) which didn’t seem to concerning, but those can definitely be filled in for a better experience pulling your camper in and out of there. The cons: the water pressure is terrible, it’s very difficult to take a shower and feel clean. There is no check in area, so when we arrived, we didn’t know where to go and I had to pull up my reservation and a digital campground map to find our spot. We tried to called, but it went to voicemail and he texted that he was with another customer. He did call back about an hour or so later to see if we got settled in. The spots are pretty small, and you can’t really sit and relax outside. There’s also no fire pit rings or picnic tables (not a huge deal). The campground was easy to find, however, we had to drive 1.5 miles past it in order to turn around and be able to turn in. There’s no turn lane to pull in as there’s a median there. The bathrooms that are there is like a container box that was placed there. I didn’t go in them to see how sanitary they were. The pros: it was easy to find, and it’s pretty close to the coast (about 30 mins). We ended up having to depart after 2 nights due to water issues. The water started having a horrid smell. That mixed with almost zero water pressure was my last straw. I emailed them, and they refunded the remainder of my trip fees. They did give us the option to stay a few days if we needed to in order to find a new campground, which is why I gave this review 2 stars instead of 1.
Apr 08, 2024 · Ashua RinckStayed here for a few months while working in the area. Easy drive from Brunswick and very fair price. Carl, the manager on-site is extremely helpful and nice. If you need anything he is quick to respond and is always friendly. Either side of the highway has nice spots to choose from. In my time here I saw lots of birds including osprey, hummingbirds, egrets, swallow-tailed kites, and red breasted woodpeckers, and more. Dog friendly park that is kept clean. If I’m ever back in the area would definitely stay here again.
May 26, 2022 · Erin BurnsIt's not a RV park in the traditional sense. I think at least 90% of the RV crowd there live there permanently. It does have access to a pond but it has a lot of trash in it
Aug 14, 2024 · DawnVery helpful owners .some traffic noise full hookup make sure you have a long sewage hose. Owners are still fixing this place but I think once its finished it will be a great spot we had a nice pull through spot.close to things to do.like Jekyll island and st Simon. And okaffanoki swamp .
Jul 09, 2021 · Darlene PetersI wish i could give this place zero stars. 1-1/2 foot holes everywhere in our "campsite" if you want to call it that. More like, lets just back people in wherever and call it a campsite. This place is even worse than any picture they have listed online. I had the neighbors dog, leash and all, come visit me while trying to hook up. He was intimidating but friendly. The lake front view is more like a glorified drainage ditch. We ended up booking elsewhere and leaving. The manager told me that he would refund my money and shocker here, still waiting on that refund. Do not stay here.
