For those of us living in Florida, finding a place to call home that truly fits our lifestyle and budget is often a top priority. Glen Oaks MHP & RV Park in Fort Pierce presents itself as an option for those seeking a peaceful and friendly neighborhood in the Sunshine State.
Ideally situated, this park aims to provide a serene living experience alongside the scenic beauty of Taylor Creek. Many residents seek a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle, a place where they can feel safe and enjoy their surroundings. A community where management strives to keep the area well-maintained and clean is often highly valued. Understanding the full picture of a community, including its stated goals and the real experiences of its residents, is essential for making an informed decision about where to live or stay in Florida.
Glen Oaks MHP & RV Park is located at 1350 Juanita Ave, Fort Pierce, FL 34946, USA. This address places it in a residential area of Fort Pierce, a city on Florida's Treasure Coast. For local Floridians, Fort Pierce offers a blend of coastal charm and essential urban conveniences, making it an attractive place for both permanent residency and extended visits.
The park's location provides reasonable accessibility to various local amenities. Residents and visitors can typically reach grocery stores, dining establishments, retail shopping, and healthcare facilities within a short drive. Fort Pierce is also known for its beautiful beaches, fishing opportunities, and a vibrant downtown area with cultural attractions, all of which would be accessible from the park. While specific details on public transportation directly serving Juanita Ave are not readily available, most residents in this type of community in Florida rely on personal vehicles for transportation. The exact proximity to major highways like I-95 or Florida's Turnpike would influence travel times to other parts of the state. It is always advisable for prospective residents or RVers to check a map for specific travel times to their most frequented destinations within the Fort Pierce area or beyond.
Glen Oaks MHP & RV Park caters to both mobile home residents and RV travelers, suggesting a range of services designed to support comfortable living and extended stays. Based on typical offerings in such communities, and insights from reviews, here are common services you might expect:
- Mobile Home Lots: Spaces available for long-term lease, allowing residents to place their manufactured homes.
- RV Park Sites: Spaces with hook-ups for recreational vehicles, typically offering options for daily, weekly, or monthly stays.
- Full Hook-ups: Most RV sites would offer essential utilities such as electricity (often 30 and 50 amp), water, and sewer connections.
- Grounds Maintenance: Regular upkeep of common areas, landscaping, and roads to ensure a clean and presentable environment, as indicated by a review praising management for keeping the "neighborhood maintained clean."
- Community Management: On-site or accessible management to assist residents and address concerns, with one review specifically mentioning "Manager Cory" as "professional and works above beyond."
- Access to Taylor Creek: The park is noted for its "beautiful scenery alongside Taylor Creek," suggesting potential for waterfront access or views, which could include activities like fishing or enjoying the natural surroundings.
- Safety Measures: The mention of feeling "safe" in the neighborhood suggests efforts are made to ensure resident security, possibly through lighting or community watch initiatives.
- Utilities: Provision for essential utilities like electricity, water, and sewer to individual sites. However, it is crucial to note one review that explicitly states, "we paid two weeks prior to our arrival, and then had no power now after being here two days," and "have left us without power for 2 days in a cold front with a disabled person that needs electricity for a device that she has to have plugged in." This indicates that while power is a service, there may have been significant issues with its reliable provision in specific instances.
- Pet Policy: While not explicitly stated, most mobile home and RV parks have policies regarding pets. It is advisable to inquire about specific rules and any breed restrictions.
For detailed information on specific amenities, hook-up types, and any additional services like laundry facilities, recreation rooms, or community events, direct contact with Glen Oaks MHP & RV Park is recommended.
Glen Oaks MHP & RV Park, as a community, offers several features and highlights that might appeal to prospective residents and RVers. Based on public feedback, these include:
- Peaceful and Quiet Environment: Multiple reviews emphasize the "peaceful quiet friendly neighborhood," suggesting a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle, which is often a key desire for residents in such communities.
- Friendly Community Atmosphere: The park is described as having a "friendly neighborhood" where "everyone that lives here is pleasantly helpful," fostering a welcoming environment and a sense of camaraderie among residents.
- Scenic Location Alongside Taylor Creek: The mention of "beautiful scenery alongside Taylor Creek" indicates a natural, picturesque setting that provides aesthetic appeal and potential opportunities for enjoying nature.
- Dedicated Management: Manager Cory is specifically highlighted for being "professional and works above beyond to keep the neighborhood maintained clean and safe." This suggests a proactive and attentive management style that prioritizes the upkeep and security of the park.
- Well-Maintained Grounds: The emphasis on the neighborhood being "maintained clean and safe" points to a commitment to the overall appearance and tidiness of the common areas, which contributes significantly to the living experience.
- Sense of Safety: Residents reportedly "feel safe" within the community, which is a fundamental aspect of comfortable living and provides peace of mind.
- Mix of Mobile Homes and RVs: Catering to both mobile home residents and RV park guests creates a diverse community, potentially offering different experiences and opportunities for interaction.
It is important to acknowledge that one review presents a significantly contrasting experience, detailing severe issues with power outages, and deeply troubling allegations of discrimination and hate speech based on race related to visitors providing care for a terminally ill resident. This review describes an experience where the park management allegedly labeled and harassed visitors based on their race, resulting in a feeling of being "unwelcome, discriminated against, and downright hated." It also cites issues with lack of power for an extended period, impacting a disabled individual. Such claims, if substantiated, represent severe deviations from the expected professional and ethical conduct of a community. Prospective residents and RVers should consider all available information, including these serious allegations, when evaluating this park. Legal services and organizations like the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Association) were reportedly being contacted regarding these claims.
For mobile home parks and RV resorts like Glen Oaks MHP & RV Park, "promotions" often come in the form of flexible pricing structures for longer stays rather than traditional discounts. While specific, limited-time offers should always be confirmed directly with the park, here's what you might typically find or inquire about:
- Seasonal Rates: Pricing for RV sites usually varies by season, with higher rates during Florida's peak tourist seasons (e.g., winter months) and potentially lower rates during the off-season.
- Long-Term RV Stay Discounts: Many RV parks offer reduced daily or weekly rates when booking for a full month or longer. These monthly rates are a common incentive for snowbirds or those seeking extended stays.
- Mobile Home Lot Lease Incentives: For mobile home residents, promotions might include specific incentives if you're purchasing a new manufactured home to place on a lot within the park. This could involve a period of reduced lot rent or other move-in benefits.
- Referral Programs: Some communities offer a small credit or bonus to existing residents who refer new individuals who successfully move into the park.
- Utilities Inclusion: It's important to clarify whether lot rent or RV site fees include utilities (electric, water, sewer). Sometimes, electric is metered and charged separately for longer stays, while other utilities might be included.
Given the serious allegations raised in one review regarding an individual being asked to leave despite prior payment and power issues, it is paramount for anyone considering this park to thoroughly verify all terms and conditions, especially regarding reservations, payment policies, and rules of residency. We strongly advise contacting Glen Oaks MHP & RV Park directly by phone at (772) 595-1711 or +1 772-595-1711 to inquire about current rates, availability, specific offers, and to ask any questions you may have about their policies and community environment before making a commitment.

My experience at Glenoaks has been peaceful quiet friendly neighborhood. Everyone that lives here is pleasantly helpful seems they enjoy knowing you can feel safe and enjoy the beautiful scenery alongside Taylor Creek. Manager Cory is professional and works above beyond to keep the neighborhood maintained clean and safe... 👍👍👍🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🕊🕊🕊
Terrible. The managers are unprofessional, we paid two weeks prior to our arrival, and then had no power now after being here two days. Then, my wife, who is terminally ill and unable to leave the house is being talked about in a manner that is not only sad but hateful and I hateful condition of the human heart. They are saying things that I would never ever assume or say about another individual that is terminally ill fighting for their life having pastoral council visiting her daily, friends, home health aides, all happening to be of a different race therefore it is assumed that there is drug activity going on . I have never been more saddened in all my life nor more disgusted. After having three visitors all of being related to her care as she is unable to leave the home,we were contacted by management stating that there was too much drug activity and traffic coming to the house but really the real problem was it was the skin color of the traffic coming to the house. Numerous residents complained as they sat back and assumed as my wife received care and prayer that the black men visiting were not her health team but drug dealers! They even went so far as to yell out at one of them as they left from bringing her groceries that he was a drug dealer, he happened to be white. We were then told within hours that despite the fact that they had already rented to us weeks prior, cast our check, and have left us without power for 2 days in a cold front with a disabled person that needs electricity for a device that she has to have plugged in, we are being asked to leave or we are trespassing within one week! Now, this is wrong not only on a legal level but a moralistic level. As I watch my surroundings of this neighborhood I too could assume many things, none of which I would like to name here because hate begets hate and negativity begets negativity. My point and posting this review is to draw attention to the disgusting, labeling, impact that they have had on my terminally ill wife that is fighting not only for her life but for peace while she is still here and has made us feel not only unwelcome, but discriminated against, and downright hated because of the color of skin of her home health team. I would never recommend this park to anyone, I am contacting legal services in my wife's behalf particularly the Ada (americans with disabilities association), and we'll put a voice we'll put a spotlight on this travesty of not only prejudice, ignorance, intentional hate, and to draw attention to the effects that it is having on my wife and my family. What a sad sad day in America!
It's just a big mobile home park in one circle. Unfortunately when I lived there, drugs were rampant. However, it's close to (3 or 4 miles) from downtown Ft. Pierce and the North Hutchinson Island beaches and the beautiful inlet. There are decrepit shuffle courts and a huge clubhouse that is set in time and no one uses. It's not for transients.
On the fence about this 55 plus community that is under new management all the time. The underlying issues here are discriminatory children that have yet to develop social skills necessary to co habitate closely with other people. The owners son, plays into the role of social worker gone bias, in terms of professional standards. Keep in mind, park, if you would even call it that is close to a very unsavory place in fort pierce. I was a tenant here for almost 8 months, with my own RV, there are only 4 RV spots. I was made to feel so uncomfortable, unwelcome and yelled at. For example, the old men would gather at a table outside directly across the street from me when my pastor and my family came to visit me. They yelled at them, derogatory names yet were all drunk AMD high. The cops do not even like coming into this place. 1 washer 1 dryer. That is it!!! No perks, and no neighbors that you would want to have as such. Maybe 1 lady, and they belittle and pick on her as encouraged by the way the head guy, son of owner, plays the part. Really, he makes his job so hard that he cannot manage it. The people will call of you cough too loud, and 55 year old men tattletaling on themselves isn't my idea of a good time. I'll post another review if things improve.
It is ok with xcept the manager has NO clue how to run a park! Took our money and tried to say he didn't get it all and we have the receipt. He then cussed at my husband and it was very negative from the start
