Colony Club Mobile Home Pk About
For many of us who call Florida home, finding a place that offers both affordability and a unique community atmosphere is a significant pursuit. Mobile home parks can often present an accessible entry point into the Florida lifestyle, providing a sense of neighborhood and a more budget-friendly approach to living in our beautiful state. If you’re exploring options in the Fort Pierce area, Colony Club Mobile Home Pk might appear as a possibility.
When considering any residential community, it’s essential to look beyond just the location and delve into the real-world experiences of those who live there or visit frequently. The layout, maintenance, and overall living conditions are critical factors that shape the daily lives of residents. This article aims to provide an overview of Colony Club Mobile Home Pk based on available public information and direct feedback from customers. Our goal is to offer a factual and informative perspective, helping you to understand the various aspects of this community in Fort Pierce so you can make an informed decision about whether it aligns with your preferences for Florida living.
Colony Club Mobile Home Pk is located at 2601 US-1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946, USA. This places the community directly on a major thoroughfare, US-1, in Fort Pierce, a city on Florida's Treasure Coast. For Floridians, this location offers significant advantages in terms of accessibility and proximity to essential services and attractions.
Being situated directly on US-1 means residents have immediate access to a main north-south artery, making commuting and everyday travel relatively straightforward. Within a short drive, residents can typically reach a wide array of amenities, including grocery stores, a variety of dining options, retail shopping centers, and healthcare facilities. Fort Pierce itself is known for its beautiful beaches, the Indian River Lagoon, fishing, boating, and a vibrant downtown area with cultural events and recreational opportunities, all of which are accessible from the park’s location.
However, the direct proximity to US-1 also comes with considerations. As one review noted, this can lead to challenges with internal park roads and traffic flow, with comments like "The roads are uneven and barely wide enough to drive on because the homes have no parking so people park in the street. Most times we just have to reverse up the main road onto US1 and pray nobody turns in." This suggests that while external accessibility is high, internal navigation and parking might present daily inconveniences for residents and visitors alike. Despite potential internal challenges, the strategic location on US-1 remains a key aspect of Colony Club Mobile Home Pk’s overall accessibility for those living in or frequently visiting the Fort Pierce area.
As a mobile home park, Colony Club Mobile Home Pk primarily offers the leasing of individual lots for manufactured homes. While specific detailed lists of services are not publicly available through the provided information, typical services found in such communities, which contribute to the residents' quality of life, generally include:
- Mobile Home Lot Leasing: The core service involves providing plots of land for residents to place their manufactured homes, usually under a lease agreement.
- Basic Utilities Infrastructure: Access to essential hook-ups for water, sewer, and electricity at each lot. The functionality and reliability of these services would be a critical inquiry point for prospective residents, though no direct feedback on utility performance was given.
- Community Management: A management entity responsible for overseeing the park's operations, enforcing community rules, and handling resident inquiries. The tone of the provided reviews suggests potential areas for improvement in management's oversight of park conditions and layout.
- Road Maintenance: General upkeep of internal roads within the community. However, a review explicitly notes "The roads are uneven and barely wide enough to drive on," indicating potential issues with this service.
- Waste Management: Provision for trash and recycling collection services. The review stating "It looks like a bomb went off.. the trailers are falling apart... no one takes care of anything.. there is garbage everywhere" raises significant concerns about the effectiveness of waste management and overall park cleanliness.
It is crucial for any individual considering Colony Club Mobile Home Pk to understand that the direct feedback from reviews paints a concerning picture regarding the state of maintenance and living conditions. The described issues with roads, parking, and overall cleanliness suggest that while these services may be nominally offered, their execution might fall significantly short of desirable standards. Prospective residents should inquire directly about all included services, their maintenance schedules, and the current condition of infrastructure before making any commitments.
Based on the provided customer reviews, Colony Club Mobile Home Pk presents a complex set of features, with significant highlights and equally significant concerns:
- Location on US-1: A primary logistical feature is its direct frontage on US-1 in Fort Pierce, offering excellent external accessibility to major roads, local amenities, and coastal attractions.
- Potential for Affordable Living: Mobile home communities are often sought after for offering a more budget-friendly approach to homeownership in Florida compared to traditional housing. This remains a general draw for such parks.
- Established Community: As an existing mobile home park, it is an established part of the Fort Pierce landscape, though its age might contribute to some of the infrastructure challenges mentioned in reviews.
However, it is critical to present the direct, highly negative "highlights" from the customer reviews, as these severely impact the desirability and livability of the park:
- Poor Internal Road Conditions and Parking Issues: A significant drawback noted is that "The roads are uneven and barely wide enough to drive on because the homes have no parking so people park in the street." This creates daily navigation challenges, including having to "reverse up the main road onto US1 and pray nobody turns in."
- Severe Disarray and Lack of Maintenance: Described as a "complete dump" and looking "like a bomb went off," with "trailers are falling apart" and a general sense that "no one takes care of anything." This indicates a severe lack of ongoing maintenance and upkeep.
- Unsanitary Conditions: The explicit mention of "garbage everywhere" points to significant issues with cleanliness and waste management within the community.
- Dilapidated Homes: Trailers are reportedly "old and no one takes care of anything," suggesting a prevalence of rundown properties, creating an unappealing living environment.
- Questionable Livability: One reviewer emphatically states, "I don't see how anyone could live in such conditions. Even in hard times.. this would be the very last place on Earth that I would want to live in. I think more of myself." This highlights a profound concern about the basic living standards within the park.
These direct quotes from customers provide a stark reality check on the actual living conditions and general appearance of Colony Club Mobile Home Pk, overriding any potential positive "highlights" typically associated with mobile home communities.
Mobile home parks primarily operate by leasing lots to individuals who own their manufactured homes. Therefore, "promotions or special offers" at Colony Club Mobile Home Pk, if any, would typically relate to lot rental terms or incentives for new residents. However, given the nature of the reviews provided, there is no indication of any active promotions or special offers, and the primary concern for any prospective resident would likely be the fundamental living conditions rather than any financial incentives.
In a community facing the severe maintenance and environmental issues described in the reviews (e.g., "complete dump," "garbage everywhere," "trailers are falling apart"), it is highly unlikely that traditional promotions would be a significant factor in attracting residents. The focus for any park in such a state would ideally be on addressing these fundamental problems.
If you were to inquire about rates, typical questions and potential scenarios might include:
- Lot Rent Rates: The monthly fee for leasing a mobile home lot. These rates would be the primary cost consideration.
- Lease Terms: Whether month-to-month, annual, or multi-year leases are available, and if there are any differences in rates based on lease duration.
- Utilities: Clarification on what utilities (water, sewer, electricity, trash) are included in the lot rent versus those that are billed separately.
Given the highly negative feedback about the park's condition, any prospective resident should exercise extreme caution. There is no information to suggest any special offers are currently available, and any inquiry should prioritize understanding the current state of maintenance, infrastructure, and management's plans for addressing the issues highlighted in the reviews. We strongly recommend visiting the park in person and speaking with current residents if possible, as direct observation will be crucial.

It is highly advisable to use these contact numbers to speak directly with park management. For Floridians, the search for a mobile home community often centers on finding an affordable, comfortable, and well-maintained place to live. While mobile home parks can offer a unique lifestyle and community feel, the provided public data for Colony Club Mobile Home Pk paints a concerning picture that may significantly impact its suitability for most locals.
The strategic location directly on US-1 in Fort Pierce offers undeniable external accessibility to amenities, beaches, and the broader Treasure Coast. For those prioritizing an extremely low-cost entry point into Florida living, regardless of other factors, this location might initially seem appealing.
However, the overwhelmingly negative and severe customer reviews describing the park as a "complete dump," with "trailers falling apart," "garbage everywhere," and "uneven roads" that are barely drivable, raise profound questions about the quality of life offered. The explicit statement that "Even in hard times.. this would be the very last place on Earth that I would want to live in" suggests that the living conditions may fall far below the standards expected by most Floridians seeking a decent and respectable home environment. The issues with internal road layout and parking also point to daily frustrations that would impact quality of life.
In conclusion, while the concept of mobile home living on the Treasure Coast might appeal to many, the direct and vivid feedback from residents indicates that Colony Club Mobile Home Pk currently faces significant challenges in providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment. For locals, who value community, cleanliness, and functional infrastructure, a very cautious and thorough personal assessment, weighing the potential affordability against the documented conditions, would be absolutely essential before considering this park as a suitable place to call home.
Customer Reviews
Let me start this review by saying that i do not live here but me and my sister in law have friends here so we visit frequently. The trailers are just way to close together and laid out in no clear discernible fashion. The roads are uneven and barely wide enough to drive on because the homes have no parking so people park in the street. Most times we just have to reverse up the main road onto US1 and pray nobody turns in. There should definitely be a better way to manage that
This place is a complete dump! It looks like a bomb went off.. the trailers are falling apart and with good reason.. they are old and no one takes care of anything.. it needs to be bulldozed into a pile and burned. I don't see how anyone could live in such condition's. Even in hard times.. this would be the very last place on Earth that I would want to live in. I think more of myself. If you let yourself get to that level... Your not doing something right.
Worst place I've ever lived. The management is incompetent. They promise to do bug spraying in the house every month but I've yet to see anyone do this (I have my own I spray since these places have some serious bug problems). If you want any maintenance work done, you do it yourself, or they will start a job and leave it unfinished for weeks while they fix a vacant trailer. There is little to no insulation in these places, and I'm sure there's mold problems in all of them (which it's in the lease you can't legally attack the owner about mold issues... How convenient). Be prepared to live in a sweltering hot house in the day, and for those cold days, there's no heat at all! I would recommend living ANYWHERE else rather than this place. Don't make the mistake I did.
I disagree with what the others said. If I had a problem, they would come and fix it. One time we had a sewer back up and the maintence man and the manager stayed late to fix it. The manager took care of my dog because we had to go stay somewhere else for the night and couldn't bring him. They worked with me on my deposit and after the sewer incident they worked hard to get me in a better place. This community takes care of their neighbors and watched out for everyone. If I were to go back to Ft Pierce, I would go back and rent a place here.
They need to really start doing there job around this Tralier park what do people pay lot rent for if nothing get done around here need new management or something it’s very sad... how they don’t care for no one they just want everyone’s money but can’t do what needs to be done around here
