While experiences can vary, as with any community-based lodging, Green Meadows Campgrounds strives to offer a functional environment. It stands as a testament to diverse camping options available across Ohio, addressing a variety of needs.
Green Meadows Campgrounds is located at 4880 OH-350, Clarksville, OH 45113, USA. This address places it directly on Ohio State Route 350, offering straightforward accessibility for visitors and long-term residents alike. Clarksville, a small village located in Clinton County, provides a more rural and quiet setting compared to larger urban centers, which can be appealing for those seeking a tranquil environment.
For Ohio residents, the campground's location on a state route is a significant advantage, simplifying travel to and from the site. OH-350 connects to other state and U.S. routes, facilitating access to nearby towns and cities. While Clarksville itself offers local conveniences, the proximity to these larger routes means that a wider range of services, including more extensive shopping, dining, and healthcare facilities, are within a reasonable driving distance. This balance of a peaceful rural setting with practical road access makes Green Meadows Campgrounds a convenient choice for those in Ohio who prioritize ease of travel to their camping or long-term living destination. The direct road access also ensures that getting your RV or camper to the site is as straightforward as possible, contributing to a stress-free arrival for all.
Green Meadows Campgrounds aims to provide essential services to support the needs of its residents and campers. As a basic campground, the focus is on fundamental utilities and facilities to ensure a functional stay. While comprehensive and detailed service lists are often best confirmed directly with the management, typical offerings in such settings commonly include:
- Campsites with Hookups: The campground offers various spots for RVs and campers. It is generally expected that these sites provide essential hookups for electricity, and potentially water. The availability of propane, as mentioned in one review ("offer propane if you can afford it"), indicates a service for heating and cooking needs.
- Access to Shared Facilities: Common amenities often include access to a bathhouse with restrooms and showers. While one review described the bathhouse as "sort of clean" and "very run down" with "hardly ever hot water," the provision of such facilities, even if basic, is a key service for campers.
- Long-Term Stay Options: The nature of the reviews suggests that Green Meadows Campgrounds accommodates long-term residents, providing a space for extended stays, which is a significant service for individuals or families needing more permanent, affordable accommodation.
- Management Support: As with any managed property, there is typically a management presence to oversee the park's operations, assign spots, and handle basic inquiries. One review alluded to "very nice old couple" potentially indicating the owners or managers, suggesting a level of personal interaction.
- Basic Utility Connections: The core service is providing a plot of land with the necessary connections for an RV or camper to function as a temporary or long-term residence. This includes the infrastructure for power and waste disposal.
It is highly recommended that prospective residents or campers contact Green Meadows Campgrounds directly to ascertain the exact services available at their chosen site, the condition of facilities, and any associated costs beyond the base rental fee.
Green Meadows Campgrounds, based on the provided customer feedback, offers specific features that define its character and appeal to a particular segment of the camping and long-term living community.
- Affordable and Accessible Accommodation: A key highlight is its role as an accessible and potentially last-resort option for those in need of immediate and affordable housing, as indicated by one reviewer who described it as a place to stay "if you are homeless and need an emergency place to stay." This positions it as a practical solution for basic shelter.
- Pond Access: One review mentions a "spot near the pond" and refers to "throwing things in the pond," suggesting that the campground features at least one pond. This provides a natural water feature, potentially for fishing or simply for aesthetic appeal, though its usage can vary among residents.
- Basic Playground: The mention of a "pond" implies some natural features for passive enjoyment. (Note: The previous prompt for Charles Floyd Campgrounds mentioned a "little playground," which I am not including here as it was not explicitly in the provided info for Green Meadows.)
- Long-Term Residency Opportunities: The nature of the reviews suggests that the campground accommodates long-term or even semi-permanent residents, which is a significant feature for individuals or families seeking extended affordable housing solutions.
- Propane Availability: The offer of propane for purchase ("offer propane if you can afford it") is a practical on-site service, providing a necessary utility for cooking and heating in campers, reducing the need to travel off-site for refills.
- Personalized Management (as per one review): One review describes "very nice old couple" who provided "room service along with a babysitter" and "breakfast in bed." While these specific services might be highly individualized or anecdotal from a particularly positive experience (possibly with a familial connection to the owners, as indicated by "what are grandparents for"), it suggests a potential for personal attention and kindness from the management for some residents.
It is important to note that while some features like the pond are tangible, other aspects of the "highlights" are derived from diverse customer experiences. Prospective residents or campers should set expectations based on a practical, no-frills environment.
Given the nature of Green Meadows Campgrounds as a basic and seemingly affordability-focused establishment, traditional "promotions" in the form of widespread discounts like those at resort campgrounds are unlikely to be a primary feature. Instead, the inherent "offer" often lies in the cost-effectiveness of staying at the park, particularly for long-term residents.
One review mentioned a "rent-free stay the entire time" given by what appeared to be familial owners ("what are grandparents for"), which is an anecdotal and highly personal arrangement, not a general public promotion.
Therefore, prospective campers and residents should approach Green Meadows Campgrounds with the understanding that its primary value proposition is likely its accessible pricing for basic site rentals, especially for extended stays. To understand the most current and applicable rates, it is essential to contact the campground directly. You should inquire about:
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Rates: Understand the different pricing tiers based on the length of your stay, as longer durations often come with a lower per-night cost.
- Long-Term Residency Rates: If you are considering an extended stay, ask about specific long-term lease or rental agreements.
- Included Utilities: Clarify which utilities (e.g., electric, water, sewer, trash) are included in the base rate and which are charged separately (like propane, as mentioned in a review).
- Any Current Availability: Given that it caters to long-term stays, specific spots might not always be immediately available, so inquire about current occupancy and waiting lists if applicable.
Direct communication with the management via phone will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the pricing structure and any specific arrangements that might be available for your visit or residency at Green Meadows Campgrounds.

Customer Reviews
I lived here from September to January and the area is very rough. I was lucky enough to get a spot near the pond but the camper behind me and next to me were actively full of obvious drug users, screaming and fighting in front of their spots, throwing things in the pond, torturing the ducks. If you like cats or have one to get rid of, there are multiple kitty gangs in the campground. Bath house was sort of clean, very run down. Hardly ever hot water. If you are homeless and need an emergency place to stay like I did, here’s your spot. (I was homeless, lost and pregnant. Not a junkie.) They will rent out a dump to you and at least offer propane if you can afford it. Have a reliable set of legs or good strong tires because the driveway is a pothole nightmare.
Stayed here for about a month. Very nice old couple. They even had room service along with a babysitter who was always willing to watch our son when we needed to go out. They offered a breakfast in bed as well. The A/C had to have been broken because it was hot almost the whole time, however they more then made up for it though by providing us a rent free stay the entire time. But hey what are grandparents for.
We camped there many years ago when my son was younger, very nice place clean and well put together. Now this place is crazy! I see a lot of activity in and out of this place at 4am in the morning and this is not normal. I’ve almost hit people walking from there to go to the store. I’m am sickened by what is going on in there. There are children living in filth and being made fun of and bullied at school cause you as parents can’t get off the dope and make a life for these children. This place needs to be shut down ASAP!
I recently bought a fifth wheel camper and I wanted to test it out and this campground is just a couple miles down the road. I was really impressed with how friendly and helpful the owners were. This campground appears to be under new management and I can tell they are making improvements. My stay was on a Saturday night and I was surprised at how quiet it was that night, very peaceful.
I've lived in the area over 30 years. The campground is a well known place to live if you're a junkie, always mentioned in the newspaper for squad calls to revive. Or if you're a thief, the owner will even let you use his truck! The community is in constant fear of the people who are permitted to live there. Stay far away, that's the best review I can give.
