---Hazel Park is situated at 3307 Stillhouse Lake Rd, Harker Heights, TX 76548, USA. Harker Heights, nestled in Bell County, is a growing city known for its proximity to Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood) and its family-friendly atmosphere. The location on Stillhouse Lake Road offers a degree of quietness, being somewhat removed from the most bustling commercial centers, yet still provides relatively easy access to essential amenities.
For residents, the park’s position offers a balance. While it might not be right on a major highway, Stillhouse Lake Road connects to local routes that lead to various parts of Harker Heights. This means that daily necessities like grocery stores, schools, and medical facilities are within a reasonable driving distance. For those working at or connected to Fort Cavazos, the commute would likely be manageable, depending on specific gate access and traffic patterns.
The area surrounding Harker Heights is also known for its natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities. Stillhouse Hollow Lake, for instance, is a prominent feature nearby, offering opportunities for fishing, boating, and hiking. While the park itself provides a residential setting, its location allows residents to easily access these natural attractions. However, it's worth noting that public transportation options in the immediate vicinity might be limited, suggesting that personal vehicle reliance is likely necessary for convenient travel around Harker Heights and beyond.
---Based on typical mobile home park operations and customer feedback, Hazel Park generally provides the following:
- Mobile Home Lot Rentals: The primary service is providing spaces or lots for residents to place their mobile homes. This includes the infrastructure for utility connections.
- On-Site Management Presence: Reviews indicate that the owner "lives on site." While this can mean different things, it generally implies a direct presence for oversight and interaction, though the effectiveness of this interaction varies by individual account.
- Community Maintenance (as perceived by management): The park aims to keep its common areas and general appearance tidy, with at least one resident describing it as "very clean."
- Utility Access: As with any mobile home park, residents have access to utility hookups (electricity, water, sewer) at their individual lots. However, one review mentions issues with changing electricity providers and a perceived lack of assistance from management in this process.
- Application and Credit Check Process: Prospective tenants should expect an application process, which may include credit checks. Reviews mention a potential deposit of around $400 or more, unless a "really good credit check" is achieved.
When considering Hazel Park, a few key features and highlights emerge from resident feedback:
- Quiet and Small Community Atmosphere: One resident specifically highlights that it's a "very quiet small Mobile Home park." For those seeking a less bustling environment than larger communities, this could be a significant positive. The intimate size might foster a closer-knit feel.
- On-Site Owner Presence: The owner living on-site is a notable feature. While opinions vary on the effectiveness and fairness of their management style, this direct presence can lead to quicker awareness of issues or a more personal interaction for some residents. One positive review states the owner "talks to everyone and is very nice."
- Friendly and Respectful Residents (for some): At least one long-term resident praises the community as one where "everyone is friendly and respectful," contributing to a pleasant living experience.
Based on the provided information, there are no specific promotions or special offers explicitly mentioned for Hazel Park. This is common for many mobile home parks, where pricing is often set for lot rentals or home sales without widely advertised discounts.
However, it's always advisable for prospective tenants to directly contact Hazel Park to inquire about any current deals or flexible arrangements. While unlikely to be publicly broadcast, some mobile home parks may offer:
- Adjustments to security deposits based on creditworthiness.
- Slight variations in monthly lot rent depending on the lease term.
Given some of the concerns raised in reviews regarding the owner's focus on cost-saving, it would be prudent to clarify all financial obligations, including deposits and any potential hidden fees, during your direct inquiry. It is essential to ensure that all terms and conditions are transparent before committing to a lease or purchase.

Please note that a phone number was not explicitly provided for Hazel Park in the original information or easily found through a quick public search. ---For Texans looking for a mobile home community in the Harker Heights area, Hazel Park presents itself with a mixed bag of experiences, making it suitable for certain individuals or families, but with important considerations. On one hand, its appeal for locals largely stems from its potential for being a "very quiet small Mobile Home park," which can be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful living environment away from the hustle and bustle. The presence of the owner on-site, as highlighted by some positive reviews, suggests a direct line of communication, and for some, this personalized approach by an owner who "talks to everyone and is very nice" could foster a sense of community and friendliness. If your priority is a tranquil setting and a community where you might know your neighbors and the owner personally, Hazel Park could align with those preferences.
However, it is crucial for local Texans to approach Hazel Park with a clear understanding of the diverse resident experiences. While some find the community clean and its residents friendly, other detailed accounts raise serious concerns about property maintenance, particularly regarding mold, structural issues in units, and delayed repairs. Issues like un-repaired flooring and significant wait times for necessary repairs (like a porch railing) are critical considerations, especially for those with health concerns, such as respiratory problems, or families with children. The reports of units lacking proper insulation and concerns about the owner's financial priorities also suggest that while a unit might be affordable upfront, there could be higher utility costs or unexpected living conditions.
Ultimately, for a local Texan considering Hazel Park, it is vital to conduct thorough due diligence. This means not just reading reviews but ideally visiting the park, inspecting any potential units meticulously, and engaging directly with current residents if possible, beyond just the management. While the promise of a quiet and small community is appealing, ensuring that the living conditions meet your standards for safety, health, and comfort, and that management truly provides responsive support for all tenants, should be paramount. The suitability of Hazel Park for a local will depend heavily on their individual priorities and their willingness to investigate these reported issues firsthand.
Customer Reviews
Yeah owner is in site. Well he sits over everyone to look down at the park. He has his favorite friends in the park who gets everything right away while others have to wait. He had me spay bleach on mold and paint over it even after being told that the mold is all the way through the wood and frame of the bathroom in that unit. He only cares about doing itas cheap as he possibly can to save as much money to fund his distillery in another country. ( I drank better whiskey that was in a hole in Iraq). He has units that need to just be completely removed do to the state that they were kept in. He has one unit with a tenet that hasn't had carpet in years and no attempt has been made to fix the problem. The carpet was removed while he was out of the country ( trying to make whiskey) and never reinstalled. He had no idea it happened until the beginning of this year. He honestly doesn't have a real clue about the state of the place. Both him and his manager claimed to want to help to change over the electric provider for that area. But neither of them really did anything at all. For most people he claims to want to rent to, they will have to pay a deposit of up around 400$ plus unless you have really good credit and let them run a credit check. But none the less highly do not recommend renting here. None of these trailers have any real insulation in them, or has any of it ever been replaced. If this was in California he would have been out in jail years ago and lost all of his "property for being a slumlord. One tenets sister fell off a porch that owner said he was going to get the material for to repair and replace. It took almost 2 months and the accident before he came back the the United States and got the stuff needed. He kept on telling everyone (the manager and myself when I still was at that place)that he was gonna do it because that was his friend. But still took 3 months and the guys sister to fall through the railing. If you have an kind of respiratory problem or health concerns I would look elsewhere.
This is a very quiet small Mobile Home park. I have lived here about a year and I love it.Its very clean and everyone is friendly and respectful Owner lives on site. and talks to everyone and is very nice.
