We found this beautiful campground on the cedar river on Google maps and called ..and ..Dean the owner answered and I asked if they had room for a 43ft fifth wheel. He said absolutely and texted us the directions to get in and Gary met us at the entrance and he was a down to earth gentleman. He showed us where to park and we talked for a few minutes and that was it. We spent a few hours walking around and took some great pictures and relaxed the rest of the night.
Jun 07, 2024 · Anson RaczkowskiI travel for work a lot so I’m on the road majority of the time. When I called Dean (the owner) it was the easiest and most honest reservation I have experienced. When I showed up he greeted me at the entrance, showed me back to where my sight was, helped me set up and treated me absolutely awesome the whole time I was there. The campground itself is very nice, well maintained, and sits right on the Cedar River with some awesome views. There is no trouble here and it’s very quiet at night. The bathrooms are older but they are clean. The seasonal campers there treated me like family and made me feel welcome with no issues whatsoever. This is without a doubt the best campground I have stayed at and I will be returning again.
Jun 22, 2024 · Eric BlackertSecluded spot on the river with easy access to Hwy 80. There’s some highway noise from the bridge down the river a bit and the buildings, including the restrooms are very rustic, but it’s clean and cheap. Owner says when the kids take over next year, things will be upgraded. We’d go back!
Oct 05, 2022 · Edie DafoeJust stopped for the night. Got a nice river front site with water & power. No sewer hookups. They do have a dump station. Shady. Follow owners directions, into a.subdivision, little sign on left to take the little road, down the big hill, dirt road to the river. Fast friendly service.
Jul 11, 2023 · WAYNE OvertonLove this place, You wouldn't even know it was there. Love that it's right on the Cedar River. There's another camp called Hunts Cedar and they charge you just to look!. I would definitely come back. It's rustic, old shower house has good. Pressure and nice hot water, but definitely needs an update.
