For residents across the Granite State, finding that perfect local getaway—one that offers top-tier amenities, stunning scenery, and easy access to outdoor adventure—can be a challenge. Hinsdale RV Resort & Campground, a true hidden gem nestled in the picturesque southwestern corner of New Hampshire, is the solution. Spanning 200 acres above the scenic Connecticut River, this resort offers an exceptional camping experience that expertly balances the rugged appeal of New England nature with the comforts of a modern vacation destination.
Hinsdale RV Resort has carved out a sterling reputation among both transient visitors and long-time seasonal campers for its immaculate facilities, broad range of recreation, and prime location. It’s a place where families can create lasting memories, from splashing in the huge saltwater pool to exploring local trails. Recognizing that many New Hampshire locals seek a 'home away from home' for the entire season, the resort dedicates a significant portion of its spaces to accommodating seasonal campers, fostering a tight-knit and welcoming community atmosphere.
The property prides itself on providing excellent value, offering clean, modern facilities like a well-kept bathhouse with free showers and a handicap accessible fixture—features that veteran campers truly appreciate. With its generous sites, dedicated recreational areas, and an activities director ensuring there’s always something fun happening, Hinsdale RV Resort & Campground stands out as an ideal choice for anyone in New Hampshire looking for a high-quality, amenity-rich, and conveniently located outdoor escape that feels both luxurious and genuinely local.
Location and Accessibility
Hinsdale RV Resort & Campground is ideally situated in Southern New Hampshire, making it readily accessible from major population centers across the state and the wider New England region. The official and most accurate address for the resort is 29 Pine Street, Hinsdale, NH 03451, USA. Although some older records may reference other street names (such as the nearby 4 S Rd or its location off Route 119/Brattleboro Road at Thicket Hill Village), 29 Pine Street is the definitive entrance point.
The strategic location offers a quiet, wooded retreat while keeping essential services and attractions within easy reach. The Connecticut River, a vast and beautiful waterway offering 30 miles of navigable water, is just down the hill and across the street. The town of Brattleboro, Vermont, is minutes away across the river, offering dining, shopping, and cultural attractions, including the Brattleboro Outing Club tennis courts and local health clubs. The resort is located just four miles from the expansive, 13,500-acre Pisgah State Park, the largest in New Hampshire, which provides countless opportunities for hiking, walking, and mountain biking. For necessities and shopping, a huge Walmart is conveniently located just a couple of miles away.
Access to the campground is typically via Route 119 (Brattleboro Road). Guests should be mindful that the entry route involves navigating some residential roads and a steep hill, though the area is well-signed from the main road. Once inside the 200-acre property, campers find a quiet, forested environment that provides both seclusion and convenience.
Services Offered
Hinsdale RV Resort and Campground offers a flexible range of accommodations and essential guest services designed to meet the needs of all campers, from weekenders to seasonal residents. The season typically runs from the middle of April through the end of October.
Features / Highlights
The wide array of recreational amenities is a major highlight, setting Hinsdale RV Resort apart as a resort destination rather than just a simple campground.

Conclusion: Why This Place is Suitable for Locals
Hinsdale RV Resort & Campground is exceptionally suitable for New Hampshire locals for several key reasons. First, its southwestern location is highly accessible from the state’s population centers, yet it feels secluded on its 200 acres above the Connecticut River, offering a genuine 'getaway' feel without the extensive travel time. Second, the resort strongly supports a seasonal camping community, with 67 of its 88 total spaces dedicated to seasonal campers. This allows local families to establish a long-term, semi-permanent vacation spot for a very reasonable price, complete with winter storage. This model is perfect for New England residents who value returning to a familiar, friendly community year after year. Finally, the combination of robust, family-focused amenities—the two swimming pools, the extensive clubhouse, and the active activities director—provides high value that is often missing from public campgrounds. Whether you are a weekend transient traveler seeking a launchpad for exploring Pisgah State Park and the nearby Connecticut River, or a family looking for a seasonal haven of fun and fellowship in Cheshire County, Hinsdale RV Resort & Campground delivers a premium, community-oriented New Hampshire camping experience.

Great campground wirh ATV trails, clubhouse which has a pool table, shuffleboard, Pac-Man, foosball, lots of tables and chairs..there is a huge saltwater pool and a kids pool, pirate ship, playground, disc golf, horseshoes, basketball hoop, very clean bath house with free showers and a small store. The correct address is 29 pine street Hinsdale NH. We have been here 9 years as seasonals and love it here. The Connecticut river is down the hill and across the street. There is a marina couple miles down the road, a huge Walmart with in a couple miles. A hidden gem not to be missed. Prices are very reasonable for all the amenities. There are activities with an amazing activity director.
Sep 26, 2025 · Allie MorrisThis is a great RV park and the location is perfect. The property is well kept and staff are friendly. I would have given 5 stars, but there is no enforcement of quiet hours. I’m all about having fun camping, but it’s midnight and we’re not at the club. We would definitely come back though!
Sep 01, 2025 · Diane BovaI was swimming my usual morning laps in the pool and the staff confronted me about my swim wear. She said that thong-silluette swimwear was prohibited. I explained that this was my only bathing suit. She proceeded to degrade me and kick me out. I have never felt worse of myself ever before and have been very depressed since that day. As a paying customer, I’d expect more from my hosts. Will be camping up the road next trip.
Aug 20, 2025 · Crystal ChauvinBeside the sewage treatment and trash. A promise to return a call in thirty minutes took four hours. Not service. Unfortunate. Look at Other options. You will be happier.
Jul 26, 2025 · Michael WrachfordNice Grounds seem to be rather well kept. Very expensive for services provided.
