Holiday Harbor Campground About
Hello, fellow Georgians! If you're seeking a vibrant and amenity-rich lakeside getaway where every day feels like a vacation, then it's time you discovered Holiday Harbor Campground. Nestled on the stunning shores of Lake Allatoona in Acworth, this isn't just a place to park your RV or pitch a tent; it's a full-service marina and resort designed to offer an unforgettable experience for families, couples, and solo adventurers alike. From breathtaking waterfront views to a wide array of activities, Holiday Harbor Campground truly embodies the best of Georgia's outdoor recreation.
Holiday Harbor Campground consistently earns high praise from its visitors, highlighting its unique blend of scenic beauty and comprehensive offerings. One happy camper shared, "Great camping spots all of them. ... Office staff or wonderful! I’ll be back." This sentiment speaks to the welcoming atmosphere and the quality of the individual sites. Another reviewer, navigating a larger vehicle, noted, "Although this campground is very small and tight, I can still maneuver my 35' motorhome into the spaces, and when the lake is up, this campground becomes our top choice due to its picturesque lakeside." This specific feedback is invaluable, illustrating that while navigation might require a bit of skill for larger rigs, the payoff in terms of "picturesque lakeside" views is well worth it, making it a highly desirable spot when Lake Allatoona's water levels are high.
What truly sets Holiday Harbor apart is its dedication to providing a full vacation experience. It’s not just about the camping; it’s about the access to water sports, dining, and a community spirit that makes you want to return. For us Georgians, having such a well-equipped and beautiful destination right on Lake Allatoona is a tremendous asset. It offers the perfect opportunity to create lasting memories with loved ones, whether you're out on the water, relaxing by your campsite, or enjoying a meal at the on-site restaurant.
Holiday Harbor Campground is ideally located at 5989 Groovers Landing Rd SE, Acworth, GA 30102, USA. This prime address positions it directly on the expansive and popular Lake Allatoona, a major recreational hub in northwest Georgia. The campground's setting allows for immediate access to the lake's abundant water-based activities and offers stunning waterfront vistas.
The accessibility of Holiday Harbor Campground is a significant advantage for residents across Georgia. Acworth is strategically situated off Interstate 75 (I-75), a primary north-south artery that provides straightforward and efficient routes from major metropolitan areas like Atlanta to the south, and from other parts of North Georgia. This makes the campground an easy drive for weekend getaways or longer vacations, minimizing travel time and maximizing leisure. While some reviewers note that the internal roads and turns within the campground can be "small and tight" for larger RVs, the fact that a 35' motorhome can still maneuver suggests that careful navigation is key, but not prohibitive for many vehicles. The convenience extends beyond the immediate campground, as Holiday Harbor is just five minutes from downtown Acworth, offering fine dining and boutique shopping. Culturally rich Cartersville is also only 15 minutes to the north, featuring attractions like the Booth Western Art Museum, Tellus Science Museum, and Etowah Indian Mounds. This superb balance of natural serenity, direct lake access, and convenient proximity to both local charm and broader regional attractions makes Holiday Harbor Campground an exceptionally well-located choice for Georgians seeking a comfortable and connected outdoor escape.

Customer Reviews
Great camping spots all of them. Showers hot could be cleaned little more. They really need to put some benches for people to sit down while undressing and dressing. Office staff or wonderful! I’ll be back
Although this campground is very small and tight, I can still maneuver my 35' motorhome into the spaces, and when the lake is up, this campground becomes our top choice due to its picturesque lakeside
Use to be good, then they raised the rates a lot, and have tons of ducks pooping everywhere. My dog got sick from it last time.
We have been here several times and used to really enjoy it. The last trip however, we more than likely won’t be coming back. The bathhouse for the men only has one working shower, the bathrooms for the woman, only one stall doors locks. The provided outdoor grill is rusted completely in half and held together with two zip ties and a piece of plastic. A definite fire hazard.
We had a terrible experience in this RV Park. I would say the worst one of the five years we’ve been camping! This “resort” definitely caters to the marina more than the campground. The bathrooms and showers were horrible and in need for a drastic overhaul. I saw a roach 🪳 crawling around and a huge wasp in the stall. Forget about doing the laundry which was connected to the same building 😝 No sewer at the campsite, but they did have someone do a mobile pump out. It was more money than we were used to and you can only get it on Friday’s and Monday’s! Then to top it off, we noticed these tiny little ants crawling all over the place after two days of being there! They were even in the engine compartment 🙄 With hurricane Helene approaching, we decided to leave earlier than planned. You didn’t have to twist my arm 😂
