Holiday Manor Park About

For Michigan residents exploring various housing options in the Jackson area, mobile home parks can present a unique path to homeownership or affordable living. Among these, Holiday Manor Park in Jackson, Michigan, is one such community that has been a part of the local housing landscape. When considering any residential community, especially a mobile home park, it's essential to gather as much factual information as possible to make an informed decision. For locals in Michigan, understanding the specifics of such communities, their management, and the living experience is key to finding a place that truly suits their needs.

Mobile home parks, also known as manufactured home communities, offer a distinct lifestyle often characterized by a sense of community and potentially lower housing costs compared to traditional stick-built homes. Residents typically own their manufactured home but lease the land it sits on. This model can provide flexibility and a more streamlined living experience, with some parks offering various shared amenities and services. While individual experiences can vary greatly, the aim of many mobile home parks is to provide a stable and accessible living environment for their residents. For Michiganders considering this type of housing, it's always advisable to conduct thorough research, including reviewing available public information and, if possible, speaking with current residents, to form a comprehensive understanding of the community's atmosphere and operational practices.

Holiday Manor Park is located at 5656 Trailer Park Dr, Jackson, MI 49201, USA. This address places the mobile home park within the city of Jackson, a significant urban center in South Central Michigan. Jackson serves as a hub for commerce, education, and culture in its surrounding county, offering a wide array of services, employment opportunities, and recreational activities.

For Michigan residents, the accessibility of Holiday Manor Park is a notable factor. Its location within Jackson means easy access to the city's infrastructure, including major roadways, public transportation options, shopping centers, grocery stores, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. Residents would find commutes to work or access to daily necessities to be relatively convenient. Jackson is well-connected to other parts of Michigan via major highways like I-94 and US-127, making it accessible for those traveling from other cities in the state. This urban accessibility contrasts with more rural mobile home parks, offering residents the benefits of city living alongside their community housing. For those seeking to be close to the amenities and opportunities of a city while living in a mobile home community, Holiday Manor Park's location offers a practical solution.

Based on the typical structure and offerings of mobile home parks, and with consideration for the provided reviews which, while negative, implicitly point to some services, Holiday Manor Park would generally offer the following to its residents:

  • Lot Rentals: The primary service provided by a mobile home park is the rental of individual lots where residents place their manufactured homes. This typically includes access to utility hookups.
  • Utility Access: Residents would have access to essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity at their individual home sites. It's common for residents to manage their own utility accounts, although some basic utilities might be included in the lot rent at certain parks.
  • Road Maintenance: The park would be responsible for the maintenance of internal roads within the community.
  • Waste Management: Presumably, there would be designated services for trash and recycling collection for residents.
  • On-site Management/Oversight: The reviews indicate the presence of a manager and owner, suggesting there is some form of on-site or accessible management to handle park operations, rules, and resident interactions.
  • Community Rules and Regulations: As indicated by the reviews, there are established rules and regulations for residents, governing aspects like pet policies, property maintenance, and behavior.

It is important for prospective residents to verify the exact scope of services included in the lot rent and any additional fees, as this can vary significantly between mobile home parks.

Based on the provided customer reviews, which unfortunately highlight significant concerns, here are features or aspects of Holiday Manor Park that are mentioned, although often in a negative light:

  • Presence of Management and Owner: The reviews confirm that there is a manager and an owner involved in the park's operation. While their perceived approach to management is criticized, their existence means there are points of contact for residents, and a management structure is in place.
  • Existing Community: The park has an established community with residents living there, as indicated by references to neighbors. This means a social environment is present, even if not always harmonious.
  • Rules and Regulations: The reviews explicitly state that "rules and regulations change for each person" and "rules are not the same for everyone." This implies that rules exist, even if their consistent application is questioned by former residents.
  • Older Trailers/Homes: One review notes that "Most of those trailers are so out dated." This suggests that a significant portion of the manufactured homes within the park may be older models. This could be a highlight for those seeking a more affordable entry point into homeownership, assuming they are prepared for potential renovation or maintenance.
  • Ability to Purchase Existing Trailers: The review mentions "Bought a trailer here back in 2010, from someone," indicating that residents can purchase existing homes within the park, rather than solely bringing in new units.
  • Pet Policy: A specific rule regarding dogs is mentioned ("We could not put our dog out with out someone outside . Yet the neighbor could do it all the time."), indicating that a pet policy is in place, even if its enforcement is perceived as inconsistent.

It is crucial for any prospective resident to conduct thorough due diligence, including asking specific questions about park rules, management practices, and home conditions, especially in light of the highly critical customer feedback.

Based on the provided information, there are no specific promotions or special offers explicitly mentioned for Holiday Manor Park. Mobile home parks typically do not widely advertise short-term promotions in the same way as retail businesses. However, for prospective residents, it's always advisable to directly inquire with the park management about any available programs or incentives.

Common practices or types of offers that might be present in a mobile home park could include:

  • Rent-to-Own Programs: Sometimes parks offer programs where a portion of the lot rent goes towards the purchase of a home on-site.
  • New Home Incentives: If the park sells new manufactured homes, they might offer move-in specials, financing assistance, or discounts on initial lot rents.
  • Referral Bonuses: Existing residents might receive a bonus for referring new residents.
  • Seasonal Pricing: Although less common for year-round mobile home parks, some might have slight variations in rates.

Given the highly negative customer reviews provided, it is particularly important for any interested individual to exercise extreme caution and seek detailed, transparent information directly from Holiday Manor Park management regarding current lot rental rates, any fees, the condition of available homes or lots, and their policies before making any commitments. Direct communication is the only way to ascertain if any offers exist and to address concerns raised by past residents.

For inquiries about Holiday Manor Park, including lot availability, rental information, or to discuss any concerns, prospective residents can use the following contact details:

It is strongly advised that anyone considering Holiday Manor Park contact the management directly and arrange for an in-person visit. During your visit, take the opportunity to tour the park thoroughly, observe the general maintenance and atmosphere, and if possible, speak with current residents to gain a broader perspective on the living experience within the community.

For Michigan locals, particularly those in the Jackson area, Holiday Manor Park offers a specific type of housing option within the manufactured home community sector. Its primary suitability would stem from its location within the city of Jackson, providing convenient access to urban amenities, employment, and services that might be attractive to individuals or families seeking an affordable living solution close to city life. Mobile home parks can sometimes offer a more budget-friendly path to homeownership compared to traditional housing, and the presence of existing trailers, even if older, could mean lower initial entry costs for those prepared for potential renovations.

However, it is paramount that any Michigan resident considering Holiday Manor Park proceed with significant caution and undertake extensive due diligence. The provided customer reviews highlight serious concerns regarding management, inconsistent rule enforcement, property maintenance, and transparency, which are critical factors impacting resident quality of life. While the concept of mobile home park living can offer community and affordability, the specific experiences reported by past residents at Holiday Manor Park suggest that a thorough personal investigation, direct communication with management, and careful consideration of all terms and conditions are absolutely essential to determine if this particular community is truly suitable for their needs. Understanding Michigan's Mobile Home Commission Act and resident rights is also highly recommended when navigating such housing decisions.

Bought a trailer here back in 2010, from someone. If I would have known I probably wouldn't have bought it. I knew it needed some work. Well the Manager informed us of all the so called repairs that needed done with in 90 days. The owner aka who called his self Casper. Acted like a royal butt when trying to qualify to live in this park. The neighbors who had a wood burner and would clean it out an place their hot ashes at the rear of my trailer. Also noticed the rules are not the same for everyone. We could not put our dog out with out someone outside . Yet the neighbor could do it all the time. Dont buy here. Most of those trailers are so out dated. Not to mention they tried to tell us that we had to register the property an pay the taxes on it. Umm Nope.

I have lived here for over 20 yrs. I can not tell you how many people I have seen come and go from this park. Never could understand why, till now. Recently bought a used mobile home for my daughter from the owner, it was rotted from the inside. The park maintenance cool sealed the roof and caused some issues and claimes it's not the parks responsibility. Had to take it to the dump(they did pay for that). After spending over $15,000 on it and improvements we now have to move out after 8 months. Oh and still have to pay 3 months left on the lease. So I ask you? Would you want to live here? Does this sound like a good place to buy a moble home from? Please don't make the same mistake we did, move on go look some place else. BUYERS BE AWARE!!!

I own a trailer in this park and now wish to sell my home and the owner is blocking any and all applicants who wish to buy the home. I have several offers on the home and they won't even allow my applicants to get an application. He is doing this only to force me to sell to him for nothing. I will not allow him to buy my home if it comes down to junking a perfectly good trailer so he can't scam someone else so be it. I will tear the house down. Never trust the manager or the owner Steyer properties.

There is a drug addicts and Dealers all in this place one girl had her son beat up my 6 year old while he had a broken arm. As a result of that his arm is not healing properly. The manager just says call the police and the owner don't care either just wants your money. Do not go here
