Hotel RV About
For RV enthusiasts and those seeking temporary lodging in Pennsylvania, finding the right RV park is crucial for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Hotel RV, located in West Alexander, PA, aims to provide sites for RVs. This article is designed to give local Pennsylvanians a comprehensive overview of Hotel RV, based on publicly available information and recent visitor experiences, to help you make an informed decision about whether it meets your specific needs. Understanding the realities of any RV park before arrival is key to a smooth trip.
It's important for prospective visitors to approach Hotel RV with realistic expectations, particularly concerning its current conditions. While the concept of an RV park offers convenience and flexibility, recent feedback from fellow Pennsylvanians highlights some areas that may impact your stay. This overview will cover what you can expect in terms of location, available services, and critical considerations regarding site maintenance and customer service. Our goal is to provide a factual and unbiased perspective from a local user's viewpoint, ensuring you have all the necessary information to plan your visit to Hotel RV in West Alexander.
Hotel RV is located at 962 Old Brick Rd, West Alexander, PA 15376, USA. This address places it in a rural part of Washington County, Pennsylvania, near the border with West Virginia. Its location off a main road is noted by reviewers, with most spots "backed up to a busy road," which is an important consideration for those seeking extreme quiet or with concerns about traffic noise.
For local Pennsylvanians, accessing West Alexander generally involves driving, and the park's proximity to roads suggests straightforward vehicular access. However, a critical point highlighted by a recent visitor is the "driveway entrance has a huge drop off where it’s washed out and the RV about tipped over pulling in." This indicates a potentially challenging entry point for RVs, especially larger ones, and is a crucial accessibility factor for campers planning their arrival. While the exact proximity to major highways or attractions isn't explicitly detailed, its rural West Alexander setting suggests it serves as a stopover or base for those needing to be in that specific area of Pennsylvania.
Based on the provided information, the services offered at Hotel RV appear to be fundamental to an RV park, primarily focusing on providing sites with essential hookups. However, recent customer reviews indicate significant issues with the functionality and maintenance of these services. Here's what can be inferred about the services, alongside the reported challenges:
- RV Sites with Hookups: The park is designed to offer RV sites, presumably with electricity, water, and possibly sewer connections, which are standard for RV parks.
- Customer Feedback: Critically, reviewers stated that "Several of the sites did not have operational water." This suggests inconsistency in the availability and functionality of essential hookups.
- Gravel Pads: The sites themselves are described as "all gravel." This typically indicates a level surface for parking an RV.
- Laundry Facilities: There is a mention of "apartments where the laundry is." This suggests a shared laundry facility on the premises.
- Customer Feedback: A significant issue raised is that the "laundry mat doesn’t work and was filthy with over flowing trash." This points to a severe lack of maintenance and usability for this amenity.
- Fire Rings: Fire rings are present at the campsites, intended for campfires.
- Customer Feedback: Unfortunately, reviewers reported that "All of the fire rings are filled with trash," indicating they are not maintained for use.
- Trash Disposal: A general presence of trash and debris suggests a lack of regular trash disposal or management.
- Customer Feedback: The laundry area was "filthy with over flowing trash," and the overall area was "covered with trash and debris."
- Check-in Process: The check-in process appears to be remote.
- Customer Feedback: "No office person they work from home and they only text you and don’t respond when pressed about issues." This highlights a significant challenge in communication and responsiveness from management.
In summary, while basic RV park services are likely intended, the actual delivery and maintenance of these services appear to be severely compromised, according to recent visitor accounts.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the "features" and "highlights" of Hotel RV are unfortunately overshadowed by significant negative aspects concerning maintenance and amenities. It's crucial for Pennsylvanians considering this RV park to be aware of these reported conditions. What might typically be considered features of an RV park are presented here with the critical feedback received:
- Gravel Sites: The sites are described as "all gravel." This is a common feature in RV parks, offering a firm, level surface for parking. However, this is noted in contrast to the overall poor conditions.
- Proximity to a Road: The park is "right off a road," which could be seen as a feature for easy access.
- Critical Feedback: However, this also means "most spots are backed up to a busy road," implying potential noise issues.
- Presence of Fire Rings: Fire rings exist at the campsites.
- Critical Feedback: Reviewers explicitly state, "All of the fire rings are filled with trash," indicating they are unusable due to neglect.
- Laundry Facility (Apartment Area): There is a designated laundry area within apartments on the premises.
- Critical Feedback: This facility "doesn’t work and was filthy with over flowing trash," making it non-functional and unhygienic.
- "Cool Neighbors": One reviewer mentioned, "The neighbors were cool." This is a positive social aspect, albeit anecdotal.
- Potential for Long-Term Stays: While not explicitly stated as a feature, the nature of RV parks can cater to longer-term residents. The lack of an on-site office might facilitate this for those seeking less direct oversight.
- Overall Quietness (Unintended): One reviewer noted, "usually that means loud compressors all night, blaring tvs and stereos, and bright lights beaming into the night. When we walked around, it was dead quiet with no one outside (kind of weird because most the rv sites had campers in them, but no one was enjoying the outdoors)." This "quiet" appears to stem from a lack of people utilizing outdoor spaces, rather than intentional peaceful design.
It's important to stress that the overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and responsiveness from management significantly diminishes any potential positive "features" that might otherwise exist.
Based on the provided customer reviews, there are no mentions or indications of promotions or special offers at Hotel RV. Given the severe issues reported regarding the park's maintenance, cleanliness, and management responsiveness, it is highly unlikely that any promotional offers would be a primary consideration for prospective visitors. The focus for any potential guest would rather be on verifying the current operational status of the park's basic amenities and overall conditions.
Therefore, Pennsylvanians considering Hotel RV should not expect any advertised discounts or special rates. Their primary focus should be to confirm that the park is currently functional and maintained to an acceptable standard before committing to a stay, as recent reviews suggest a significant disparity between advertised images (if any) and the actual state of the property.
For contact and booking inquiries regarding Hotel RV in West Alexander, PA, the following information is available. However, based on customer feedback, prospective visitors should be prepared for potential challenges in communication.

Recent customer reviews indicate that "No office person they work from home and they only text you and don’t respond when pressed about issues." This suggests that direct phone calls may not always be answered, and communication is primarily via text, with a reported lack of responsiveness to pressing concerns. Therefore, Pennsylvanians attempting to contact Hotel RV should manage their expectations regarding prompt and thorough communication from management.
It is strongly advised to try calling and texting well in advance to attempt to confirm current conditions and available amenities, given the critical feedback from previous visitors.
Considering the overwhelmingly negative feedback from recent visitors, Hotel RV in West Alexander, PA, is regrettably not suitable for most Pennsylvania locals seeking a comfortable, well-maintained, or professionally managed RV park experience. While its location in West Alexander might offer geographical convenience for some, the severe issues reported far outweigh any potential benefits. Reviewers consistently highlight critical problems such as sites covered in trash and debris, fire rings filled with garbage, non-operational water hookups on multiple sites, and filthy, non-working laundry facilities. Furthermore, the documented lack of on-site management and the reported unresponsiveness of remote management, coupled with a challenging and potentially damaging driveway entrance, create an environment that is neither welcoming nor safe. The assessment that the "picture posted online is clearly several years old as the place looks nothing like this now" is a strong warning that the park's current state is far from desirable. While one reviewer mentioned "cool neighbors" and found it "the most decent sadly" among very limited nearby options, these isolated points do not mitigate the systemic issues. For Pennsylvanians who value cleanliness, functional amenities, responsive customer service, and a safe entry and exit for their RV, Hotel RV, in its current reported condition, would likely lead to a highly unsatisfactory stay. It is crucial for locals to be fully aware of these significant concerns before considering this location for any type of RV stay.
Customer Reviews
Area where the campsites are was covered with trash and debris. It is completely overrun with weeds and garbage. All of the fire rings are filled with trash. No maintenance has been done in years. No one was available for check in after leaving numerous calls, so we just chose a site. Several of the sites did not have operational water. It was absolutely disgusting. The picture posted online is clearly several years old as the place looks nothing like this now Definitely not worth paying any money to stay here.
It’s all gravel . Not pet friendly. Right off a road so most spots are backed up to a busy road. No office person they work from home and they only text you and don’t respond when pressed about issues . Full of litter . there are apartments where the laundry is . The neighbors were cool. The driveway entrance has a huge drop off where it’s washed out and the rv about tipped over pulling in . Also laundry mat doesn’t work and was filthy with over flowing trash. We did visit three different places near by and this was the most decent sadly.
Paid for a site with a lock fee. Pull in for the night in inclement weather. There was someone living on the sight we choose. We tried to call the contact number. No office on site. Almost 24 hours later still no reply! Tried to get on an open site not knowing if someone else had reserved it or not. Very difficult parking for large 5th wheels. After 20 minutes of frustration we left. We emailed through the contact link for a refund and have not had a response!
Property sites are decent at first glance; however, the management group says alot of things up front, but does not see it through, quite the contrary. Matt males promises to people he cannot keep. Too bad they do not do what they say.
Thank you so much for helping me find a place to stay in such short notice . With my job , my lengths of stay are non-traditional ranging from 2-5 months . It was so nice to find a place that understood my circumstances , had staff that was so accommodating, and provided top notch housing . I HIGHlY recommend them and will be recommending them to everyone in my company to use them when stationed in the area !
