For many Ohioans, especially those working in various industries across the state, finding an RV park that offers essential amenities for an extended stay is a top priority. Ohio Valley RV Park in Martins Ferry steps into this role, presenting itself as a functional and accessible option for those who need a reliable base for their recreational vehicle. While it may not be your typical vacation resort, this RV park is designed to cater to the practical needs of residents and traveling professionals, offering a straightforward approach to RV living in the Ohio Valley.
RV parks in Ohio serve a diverse clientele, from vacationers seeking scenic beauty to individuals and families who rely on their RVs for temporary or long-term housing due to work or lifestyle choices. Ohio Valley RV Park appears to squarely address the latter, particularly those involved in industrial or energy sectors within the region. It's important to understand that not all RV parks aim to provide a recreational, activity-filled environment. Some, like this one, prioritize utility, accessibility, and fundamental services for those who view their RV as a mobile home or a temporary residence while working. This distinction is crucial for setting appropriate expectations and identifying whether Ohio Valley RV Park aligns with your specific needs as an Ohio resident.
Ohio Valley RV Park is conveniently located at 100 Center St, Martins Ferry, OH 43935, USA. Martins Ferry, Ohio, holds the distinction of being the oldest settlement in the state, rich in history and situated along the banks of the Ohio River. While the town itself has historical significance, the RV park's address on Center Street, and its description as being in an "industrial part of town," points to a more utilitarian setting.
Its location is particularly advantageous for those working in the gas and oil industries, specifically near the Marcellus and Utica shale deposits that are prominent throughout the Ohio Valley. The park's website highlights its convenience for job sites, making it an ideal base for workers in these sectors. Furthermore, being "right in town" in Martins Ferry, it offers easy access to Interstate 70 and Ohio State Route 7, connecting it to other major roads throughout the valley. This accessibility ensures that residents can quickly reach their workplaces and navigate the broader region. While the proximity to active train tracks and a trucking company might lead to noise, as mentioned in customer reviews, this is often a trade-off for the highly convenient industrial-area location that many working professionals seek for minimizing commute times. The level and dry gravel sites are also a practical benefit for maneuvering large campers and for truck parking.
Ohio Valley RV Park is structured to provide essential services that cater to the needs of long-term campers and working individuals. Based on information from their official website and customer feedback, the park offers a range of practical amenities:
The park emphasizes that its fees include all utilities (water, sewer, and electric), simplifying the billing process for residents.
Ohio Valley RV Park distinguishes itself through features that prioritize functionality and convenience for its target audience. Key highlights include:
It is important for prospective residents to consider the park's environment, as noted in customer reviews. The presence of active train tracks nearby, and a trucking company backing up to the lot, means significant noise from train horns and industrial work, especially during weekdays and at night. While this might be a challenge for those seeking quiet, it is a characteristic of its industrial-area setting which also provides the benefit of proximity to work.
While Ohio Valley RV Park's official website outlines its standard fee schedule, specific, time-limited promotional offers are not explicitly advertised. However, the park's pricing structure itself can be seen as a form of value for longer stays, which is a common "special offer" in RV parks catering to long-term residents.
Given its target audience of working individuals and long-term campers, any "special offers" would likely be centered around consistency in pricing and the convenience of included utilities. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates, availability, or any potential unadvertised specials, it is always recommended to contact Ohio Valley RV Park directly using the provided contact information.

Ohio Valley RV Park in Martins Ferry offers a uniquely suitable option for a specific segment of the Ohio local community, particularly those engaged in industrial work or seeking a pragmatic, long-term RV parking solution. For many Ohioans, especially the dedicated workforce in the gas and oil fields of the Ohio Valley, this park provides a critical logistical advantage: proximity to job sites. Minimizing commute times after long shifts is invaluable, and Ohio Valley RV Park's location, with easy access to major routes like I-70 and Route 7, directly addresses this need. It removes the stress of lengthy travels to and from work, offering a convenient home base.
While customer reviews highlight significant noise from nearby train tracks and industrial operations, this is often a trade-off that working individuals are willing to accept for the convenience and functionality the park provides. The park’s focus on practical amenities, such as full hookups (city water, sewer, 30/50-amp electric), weekly trash pickup, and snow removal, ensures that residents have their fundamental needs met without additional hassle. The inclusion of all utilities in the monthly rate also simplifies budgeting, a crucial factor for those on a fixed income or managing work expenses.
Furthermore, the park's design with level, dry, and securely fenced gravel lots, along with ample space for maneuvering large campers and trucks, demonstrates its understanding of and commitment to accommodating the working traveler. It’s a place where the primary concern is providing a functional and secure spot for your RV, enabling a focus on work and personal responsibilities. For Ohio locals who prioritize practicality, essential services, and a strategic location near industrial hubs over a quiet, resort-style ambiance, Ohio Valley RV Park stands out as a highly suitable and efficient solution for their RV living needs in the Martins Ferry area.

I agree with the post below. I travel the country working and have never paid so much for a camp lot that offered so little. The park is surrounded with very active train tracks on 2 sides of the park so close you can throw a rock and hit either track and if that is not enough there is a trucking company that backs up to the lot ans Monday - Friday the are up all night working on the trucks playing music and yelling so after a 12-14 hour work day then you get home and have to listen to trains and industrial workers all night. You won't sleep!!! This is another get rich fast scheme to rip off the oil field workers so I suggest find another place bc at $650 a month here with no sleep makes for a long miserable stay!!!
Apr 05, 2017 · William LawlerThis is deffineatly a working man's RV park. Has all ur basics...sewer..power...electric..and internet, when it works. The park is on a level gravel area in the industrial part of town. If you hate to sleep and like staying up throughout the night after you worked a long 14, 15 hour shift, then this might be the park for you.Yes, it comes with a train that's not more than a 100 foot from the park.It blows its horns all night and sounds like its in your camper with you seven days a week non-stop.If you take a day off and want to just relax, think again. The noise from surrounding businesses will not let you relax. Not much sleep going on there. As for the pricing, this park charges a little more than the rest of the parks besides one other in the area. 650.00 a month for no sleep. I highly recommend you find another place togo.Thats just my opinion.
