For Mainers seeking the ultimate weekend escape or a full week of relaxation, the appeal of the Sebago Lakes Region is undeniable. It represents the quintessential Pine Tree State experience: clear, cool water, towering pine trees, and a sense of genuine seclusion that is difficult to find in more built-up areas. Amidst this natural splendor in Casco, Maine, lies a unique camping opportunity that is setting a new standard for private recreation: The Queen's Property. This is not a sprawling institutional campground with hundreds of sites; rather, it operates as an exclusive, private RV campsite, offering a single, meticulously maintained spot on Thomas Pond. It is designed specifically for those who crave the tranquility of nature without sacrificing the comforts and conveniences of a modern, fully-equipped recreational vehicle.
The philosophy behind The Queen's Property focuses on quality over quantity. By dedicating the entire space to a single reservation, the property ensures that every guest receives an unparalleled level of privacy and personalized service—a detail often highlighted in the overwhelmingly positive feedback from previous visitors. This approach allows guests to truly settle into the Maine environment, fostering a deep connection with the surroundings, be it the crystal-clear water of the pond or the surrounding tranquil forest. For local residents throughout Cumberland County and beyond, this private site provides the perfect "staycation" option, offering a refreshing break that is close to home but feels worlds away. The convenience of a highly accessible location combined with the luxury of solitude makes this RV retreat a standout destination in the competitive Maine camping market.
Location and Accessibility
The Queen's Property is perfectly situated at the end of 195 Watkins Shores Rd, Casco, ME 04015, USA. This location places it squarely in the heart of the Sebago Lakes Region, an area renowned for its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The Casco/Raymond area is a prime destination for Southern Maine residents, offering easy access from metropolitan areas like Portland and Lewiston/Auburn via U.S. Route 302, which serves as the primary artery connecting the region. This simple commute means Mainers can quickly transition from the demands of work to the calm of the lakeside.
The campsite’s placement on Watkins Shores Road ensures a quiet, low-traffic environment, contributing significantly to the feeling of privacy. Importantly, the property sits directly on Thomas Pond, a 442 to 533-acre body of water with a reputation for clear water and excellent fishing. While offering seclusion, the site is not remote from essential services. Local attractions and necessities, including grocery stores, gas, and RV supplies, are available within a short, five-minute drive. Furthermore, The Queen's Property is ideally positioned for exploring the wider Lakes Region: Sebago Lake State Park, one of Maine’s original five state parks, is a short six to seven-minute drive away, offering hiking, more beaches, and extensive woodlands. The bustling Naples Causeway and the shopping and dining of Windham are also easily accessible, providing the perfect balance between wilderness retreat and convenience. The large turnaround area specifically noted by guests ensures that even larger travel trailers, such as those up to 24 feet or more, can be positioned smoothly and safely onto the site.
Services Offered
The services at The Queen's Property go above and beyond the standard expectation for a private campground, focusing on making the RV experience as seamless and comfortable as possible. First Time taking our new camper out and this place will be the standard we will look for each and every time. We met the Queen and her husband Dan and they are very nice and helpful. It’s a private site with all the hook ups you need , they have an outdoor shower, a picnic table, charcoal grill, a fire pit all taken very good care of. A short walk down a path and you have your very own private swimming area that is sandy with very clear water. We didn’t go swimming but we did do a little fishing off the private dock. Dan has kayaks that he offered to let us use as well. There is a nice big turnaround to back down into your site. We have a 24’ travel trailer and had no issues getting it into position. This was a very special weekend for us and Dan and his Queen provided us a great romantic weekend getaway. I’d give it another 5 stars if I could. Book them on Hipcamp, that’s what we used.

The owner has spent a great deal of time, money and effort in making this s truly special place to stay. It is private, peaceful, well tended and has everything you need for a fabulous stay. Best of all, since our stay, the owner has continued to improve the property to make it even better, and we will definitely be back in the future.
