Jayhawk Mobile Homes, under its new management, is evolving its service model to focus on fostering a stable and ownership-oriented community. While specific day-to-day services like community events or recreational facilities aren't detailed, the core offerings center around providing a pathway to homeownership and improving the living environment.
- Mobile Home Sales & Rent-to-Own: A key shift in service is the focus on selling mobile homes or offering rent-to-own programs. This means the park is moving away from traditional rentals and instead providing opportunities for residents to own their homes, fostering greater stability and investment in the community.
- Lot Provision with Hookups: As a mobile home park, Jayhawk Mobile Homes provides designated lots equipped with essential utility hookups (electricity, water, sewer) for manufactured homes. These hookups are fundamental for comfortable and functional living in a mobile home.
- Active Property Revitalization: New management is actively engaged in "fixing up this trailer park." This implies ongoing services related to property maintenance, improvements to common areas, and potentially upgrading infrastructure. One key aspect mentioned is "getting rid of the old trailer's" and "bringing in new trailer's," indicating a commitment to enhancing the overall quality of the park's housing stock.
- Community Oversight: While not a direct "service" in the commercial sense, the new management's efforts to improve the park and its standards contribute to a more organized and appealing living environment for all residents.
Prospective residents interested in the specific terms of sale or rent-to-own programs, as well as details on utility inclusions or other specific services, should directly contact Jayhawk Mobile Homes for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Jayhawk Mobile Homes stands out for several key features, particularly given its ongoing transformation under new management. These highlights underscore its appeal as an evolving community in Lawrence, Kansas.
- Active Revitalization and Improvement: A primary highlight is the significant effort by new management to "fix up this trailer park." This commitment to improvement, including "getting rid of the old trailer's" and "bringing in new trailer's," indicates a positive trajectory for the community, aiming for a cleaner, more modern living environment.
- Pathways to Homeownership: The shift to "only selling or rent to own these trailer's" is a crucial feature. This provides residents with a tangible pathway to owning their own home, offering a more stable and potentially financially beneficial housing solution compared to perpetual renting. It encourages a sense of investment and permanence within the community.
- Strong Community Spirit: Despite ongoing changes, the park boasts "great people who lives here and we all look out for each other." This robust community spirit and neighborly support system are invaluable features, fostering a safe, welcoming, and connected living environment.
- Spacious Lot Provision: While not explicitly detailed, mobile home parks typically offer individual lots for homes, which come with essential hookups. The focus on new management suggests that these sites are being maintained or upgraded to functional standards.
- Convenient Lawrence Location: Being located on E 15th St in Lawrence provides residents with easy access to the city's amenities, including shops, restaurants, entertainment, and educational institutions like the University of Kansas. This urban connectivity is a significant advantage for daily living.
While a fence issue was mentioned by one reviewer, indicating ongoing maintenance challenges, the overall sentiment from multiple sources points towards positive changes and a forward-looking approach by the new management, making the revitalized community spirit and pathway to homeownership the most compelling highlights.
Given that Jayhawk Mobile Homes has shifted its focus to selling or offering rent-to-own options for mobile homes, the concept of "promotions or special offers" would likely differ from those found in traditional rental-only parks or campgrounds. Their incentives would typically be tied to the purchase or lease-to-own agreements.
While specific, publicly advertised offers are not provided, potential "promotions" could include:
- Flexible Financing Options: For rent-to-own programs, they might offer favorable terms, lower down payments, or flexible payment plans to make homeownership more accessible.
- New Home Incentives: For new mobile homes being brought into the park, there might be introductory pricing, upgrades included with purchase, or special deals for early buyers.
- Community Integration Programs: While not a financial promotion, the management might offer programs or events to help new residents integrate into the community, enhancing their overall experience.
Since the park's model has changed from renting to primarily selling/rent-to-own, direct contact with Jayhawk Mobile Homes is absolutely essential to understand current availability, pricing, financing options, and any specific terms or incentives related to acquiring a mobile home in their community. Their management team would be the best source for this up-to-date information.

Amazing place to live, it's family friendly, & safe community. We are all like family and look out for one another. Terra Gray has done an amazing job getting this place to where it is today!
Very trashy needs to be condemned I don’t live there personally it doesn’t deserve not even a star methods heads in and out of there can’t get a hold of landlord when something needs to be fixed all them trailers need to be up dated. No real management on site will rent to anybody.
I'm waiting for the opportunity to be able to say, I'm so thankful for my home and I have always liked the trailer court, I wish I was living there already.
