For individuals in Missouri seeking a long-term place to settle with their RV or mobile home, the concept of a dedicated RV or mobile home park often comes to mind. Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park in Springfield, Missouri, operates as such a community, providing spaces for residents to purchase homes and establish long-term residency. This can be an attractive option for those looking for an alternative to traditional housing, offering a sense of community and potentially more flexible living arrangements.
Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park aims to serve as a residential community where individuals can buy their homes and rent the underlying lot. It is situated in what one resident described as a "quiet part of town," which can be a significant draw for those seeking a more peaceful environment away from the direct hustle and bustle of busier areas of Springfield. The park structure typically involves residents owning their manufactured home while paying lot rent to the park management.
However, it is crucial for prospective residents to be aware of and carefully consider the significant concerns raised in recent customer reviews regarding management practices. These concerns include allegations of attempts to evict residents after they have purchased homes, unprofessional and inappropriate behavior from management, and questions regarding the hiring of minors for potentially hazardous work. Additionally, a resident expressed concern about a perceived pattern of a single racial group disproportionately moving into the park, stating, "I'm the farthest from racist so don't get this or take this wrong but the management seems to be pushing for only a certain race of their own to be moved into to park as that's all I have seen move in since I have been there." This feedback highlights the importance of thorough investigation and direct communication with current residents to form a complete picture of the living experience at Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park.
Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park is located at 2945 W High St, Springfield, MO 65803, USA. This address places the park within Springfield, Missouri, a major city in the southwestern part of the state. For locals, its location on W High Street suggests it is situated in a more established residential area, potentially offering a quieter environment compared to areas closer to major commercial hubs. The reviewer's comment about it being a "quiet part of town" supports this.
Being within the city limits of Springfield means that residents of Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park have access to a wide range of urban amenities and services. These include grocery stores, shopping centers, diverse dining options, healthcare facilities, and various employment opportunities. Public transportation options within Springfield may also be accessible from this location, although specific routes would need to be verified.
The accessibility of the park is generally good, as W High Street connects to other arterial roads within Springfield, facilitating commutes to different parts of the city. For those in Missouri considering a long-term RV or mobile home residency, the park's location offers the benefit of city conveniences without necessarily being in the most densely populated or trafficked areas, balancing urban access with a more residential feel.
Based on the provided information, Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park primarily offers the service of providing lots for residents to purchase and place their mobile homes or RVs for long-term residency. However, the reviews also highlight significant concerns about the manner in which management handles expected services and responsibilities.
It is critical to address the concerns raised by a past resident regarding various aspects of service and management, as these significantly impact the living experience:
Prospective residents should deeply consider these serious allegations and verify all aspects of the lease agreement, property rules, and tenant rights under Missouri law before committing to residency.
The "features" and "highlights" of Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park, as perceived by residents, are unfortunately overshadowed by significant concerns about management practices. While the park offers a basic residential setting for RVs and mobile homes, the prevailing feedback points to issues rather than positive highlights.
However, the customer review prominently highlights the following issues as significant "lowlights" or concerns:
Given this strong negative feedback, prospective residents should be extremely cautious and conduct extensive due diligence before considering Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park.
Based on the provided customer reviews, Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park does not advertise any specific promotions or special offers. The feedback from residents focuses heavily on serious concerns regarding management practices, eviction attempts, and unprofessional behavior, rather than any incentives or deals for new residents.
The core "offer" from the park appears to be the sale of mobile homes and the rental of accompanying lots. However, the review alleging that management "will attempt to evict you off lot hoping you'll forfeit home for their financial gain" after a purchase is a critical piece of information that would override any typical promotional benefit. Instead of promotions, potential residents should be primarily focused on understanding their legal rights as tenants under Missouri law regarding mobile home parks, particularly concerning eviction procedures and security of tenure.
Prospective residents should not anticipate typical campground promotions and should instead prioritize clarifying all aspects of the lease agreement, lot rent, and park rules directly with management, ideally with legal counsel, before committing to any financial agreements.
For any inquiries regarding Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park, including lot availability, current rental rates, or to discuss any concerns, direct contact with the park management is the primary channel. The phone number for Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park is (417) 831-3936. For mobile users or those dialing internationally, the mobile phone number is +1 417-831-3936. The physical address of the park is 2945 W High St, Springfield, MO 65803, USA. Given the serious nature of the concerns raised in the reviews, it is strongly advised that prospective residents consider consulting with legal counsel specializing in tenant rights in Missouri before entering into any agreements with the park. This step can help ensure a full understanding of their rights and obligations.
For locals in Missouri considering Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park, its suitability is highly conditional and requires significant caution. While it offers the basic premise of a residential RV or mobile home community in a "quiet part of town" in Springfield, the severe concerns raised in recent reviews overshadow these potential benefits.
On one hand, the park presents an opportunity for individuals seeking to purchase a mobile home and secure a long-term lot, which can be an affordable housing solution. Being located in Springfield also provides access to the city's amenities, including services, shopping, and employment opportunities, which is a practical advantage for residents.
However, the numerous and serious allegations from a former resident paint a picture of highly problematic management. Concerns about alleged attempts to force evictions, unprofessional conduct, gossiping, and the reported use of minors in potentially dangerous work environments are red flags. The explicit concern about a perceived pattern of moving in only a "certain race" of their own is also a deeply troubling allegation that, if true, would violate fair housing laws and undermine the community's integrity.
Therefore, for any Missourian contemplating Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park, it is absolutely paramount to conduct extensive due diligence. This should include:
While the idea of a quiet and affordable place to live in Springfield might be appealing, the well-being and security of residents should be the highest priority. Given the strong negative feedback, Lazy Acres Mobile RV Park is suitable only for those who are prepared to thoroughly investigate and mitigate the risks highlighted, ensuring their rights and safety are protected.

Bought a home here. Was warned that once bought they'll attempt to evict you off lot hoping you'll forfeit home for their financial gain. Not even a yr and half later they are absolutely pushing for it. Also, I have nothing against Any race, I'm the farthest from racist so don't get this or take this wrong but the management seems to be pushing for only a certain race of their own to be moved into to park as that's all I have seen move in since I have been there. Moreso, management talks behind all the tenants backs to other tenants. I've over heard them several times. They are very very unprofessional!! Disgusting really. They've not once approached me or several other tenants In A mature professional fashion. But have definitely been quick to talk about other tenants business around the park which is NOT their place to do so. It's Disgusting. Finally, they hire minors to work for them, as in ages 17 and below.. even as low as 12, 13, 14 yr old have been seen assisting with trailer teardown and such (which can be very dangerous!!) While some things are appropriate for this age children.. Many of the jobs performed need better supervision or should be performed by an experienced adult. They're very careless in that nature. Overall my experience with them has been horrific. Most unprofessional Disgusting management I've ever dealt with. Very rude and vulgar the way they talk about others while on the job around the park. I really wish the owner would step up and do something about the poor chosen management. (I mean they can't even do paperwork properly, instead it's sloppy and lazily done) If you rent or buy from them just watch yourself and double check their work... stay to yourself.. it won't be long they'll be stirring the pot, even recording you're actions in hopes of having something to gossip about!! Sickening.
