Location and Accessibility

Little Cedar Creek RV Park & Campground is ideally situated at 6140 E Peach Rd, Ridgeway, SC 29130, USA. This location is a significant asset, particularly for travelers utilizing major interstate routes through South Carolina.

A key highlight of its location is its direct proximity and "close to I-77." Interstate 77 is a vital north-south artery connecting Charlotte, North Carolina, with Columbia, South Carolina, and points further south. For RVers and campers who are "driving from FL to OH" or traversing the Eastern Seaboard, being just off a major interstate significantly enhances convenience. It allows for easy entry and exit, minimizing detour time and making it an excellent choice for an "overnight layover" or a strategic stop on a longer journey.

Ridgeway itself is a small town in Fairfield County, offering a quieter, more rural atmosphere compared to larger cities. While the campground provides a peaceful retreat, its accessibility to I-77 means that essential services in nearby larger towns (like Blythewood or even Columbia, which is about a 30-minute drive south) are within reasonable reach. This balance of rural tranquility and convenient access to modern amenities is a major plus for travelers.

The specific address on "E Peach Rd" suggests an easy turn off a main road, further contributing to its accessibility. For those with larger RVs, smooth ingress and egress are crucial, and the location near a major highway implies generally manageable roads leading to the park. This blend of strategic location near a major interstate and a peaceful local setting makes Little Cedar Creek RV Park & Campground highly accessible for a wide range of travelers across South Carolina and beyond.

Services Offered

Little Cedar Creek RV Park & Campground focuses on providing essential services that cater primarily to RVers, particularly those seeking convenient full hookup sites for short or longer-term stays.

  • Full Hookup RV Sites: A core service offered is "Full hook up" sites. This typically includes connections for electricity (amperage details would need to be confirmed directly, but commonly 30/50 amp), water, and sewer. Having all three services at each site is a major convenience for RV travelers, eliminating the need for frequent trips to dump stations and allowing for comfortable, self-contained living.

  • Pull-Through Sites: The availability of "Pull through site" is a significant service, especially for those with larger RVs or towing trailers. These sites allow vehicles to drive straight in and out without needing to back up, simplifying arrival and departure, particularly for overnight stays.

  • Picnic Tables at Sites: Each site is equipped with a "Picnic table," providing a convenient outdoor dining or gathering space for guests. This is a standard but appreciated amenity for campers.

  • Gravel Sites: The sites are noted to be "Gravel." While this might not be considered a premium feature by some, gravel sites offer practical benefits such as good drainage, reduced mud, and a firm, level surface for RV parking.

  • Customer Service/Check-in: A reviewer mentioned "Shelly was welcoming and wonderful," indicating that there is a positive and helpful presence for check-in and potentially for addressing guest needs. Another reviewer stated, "Lady was pleasant enough" when called, suggesting a generally courteous demeanor, although the specific details of the check-in process (e.g., in-person office, self-check-in) are not fully clarified.

It is important to note a key point from the reviews regarding pricing and amenities: One reviewer found the price of "$70 cash" for a night to be high, stating, "From what I saw of the campground when turning around it was not very nice." This suggests that prospective visitors should confirm current rates and ensure their expectations align with the facilities offered. Additionally, while full hookups are provided, the reviews do not mention shared public restrooms, showers, or other common campground facilities; focus is solely on the site amenities.

Features / Highlights

Little Cedar Creek RV Park & Campground offers several features and highlights that make it a suitable option for certain types of RV travelers, particularly those seeking convenience and a straightforward stay.

  • Convenient Location Close to I-77: This is arguably its strongest highlight. Being "close to I-77" makes it an exceptionally convenient stop for travelers journeying long distances across South Carolina or between Florida and Ohio (as noted by a reviewer). Easy access to and from a major interstate minimizes travel time and provides a practical layover point.

  • Full Hookup Sites for Self-Contained RVs: The availability of "Full hook up" sites is a significant feature for modern RVers. This means electricity, water, and sewer connections are readily available at each site, providing all the necessary utilities for a comfortable and self-sufficient stay.

  • Pull-Through Sites: For large RVs or those towing, "Pull through site" are a major convenience. This feature allows for easy maneuvering, eliminating the need to back into a spot, which is especially appreciated for overnight stops when tired from driving.

  • Nice, Quiet, and Safe Environment: One reviewer specifically described the campground as "Nice, quiet and safe." This highlights a peaceful atmosphere conducive to rest and security, which are top priorities for many travelers. The observation that "The longer term residents were quiet and nice" further reinforces this peaceful community aspect.

  • Welcoming Customer Service (as experienced by some): The mention of "Shelly was welcoming and wonderful" indicates a positive interaction with staff, suggesting a friendly and helpful presence for arriving guests. This can significantly enhance the overall experience.

  • Suitable for Overnight Layovers: The park is explicitly recommended for an "overnight layover," underscoring its utility as a convenient and practical stop on longer journeys.

However, it's also important to acknowledge an opposing viewpoint:

  • Appearance and Value Perception: One reviewer found the campground "not very nice" from what they observed when turning around, and felt the "$70 cash" price was too high for the perceived value. This suggests that while functional, the park's aesthetics might be basic, and potential visitors should manage expectations regarding luxury or extensive amenities beyond the basic hookups.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a professional content writer providing factual and SEO-optimized descriptions, it's important to base details on the available public data. The provided customer reviews for Little Cedar Creek RV Park & Campground do not explicitly mention any specific, ongoing "promotions or special offers" such as seasonal discounts, weekly rates, or package deals.

The reviews primarily discuss the nightly rate, with one specific mention of "$70 cash" for a night's stay, which one reviewer found to be high. This suggests that the pricing structure is fairly direct.

In the RV park industry, even without explicit "promotions," certain pricing strategies are common:

  • Standard Nightly Rate: The $70 figure likely represents the standard nightly rate for a full hookup pull-through site. For some, this might be considered competitive for the convenience and amenities offered, while for others, it might be at the higher end.

  • Potential for Weekly/Monthly Rates: While not stated, RV parks that host "longer term residents" often offer reduced weekly or monthly rates compared to cumulative nightly charges. It is highly probable that Little Cedar Creek RV Park & Campground has such pricing available for extended stays to accommodate its long-term clientele.

  • Cash Payment Preference: The specific mention of "$70 cash" might imply a preference for or discount associated with cash payments, or simply that cash was the expected method of payment at the time of that review.

Nice, quiet and safe campground close to I-77. We laid over here for one night driving from FL to OH. Full hook up. Picnic table at the site. Gravel. Pull through site. The longer term residents were quiet and nice. Shelly was welcoming and wonderful. We would definitely stay again for an overnight layover.

Not very nice. It got a good review, So I tried it. I was just passing through and needed a site for the night. Called a number left on the office door. Lady was pleasant enough but for $70 cash I decided to look elsewhere. From what I saw of the campground when turning around it was not very nice.

Stayed here in November paid $200 security for electric 2 months later still waiting for refund the site we were in had a large hole near neighbors water hookup from previous issue is approximately 3feet deep. Worst campground I have ever been to. Dog biz easily found without trying. One neighbor was running a puppy mill in his unit. Would not recommend to my worst enemy let alone a friend. Where is my deposit refund?

I was asked for a two hundred dollar deposit for an electric bill which I still have not received back and I left three months ago. They told me last month the owners father died. I'm sorry. I'm not heartless. An additional month passes and they gave me the same excuse. I told them I understood but I want my money back. It's a business. A month has passed. The lots are super compact and my lot, lot # 12 is dangerous. There is a big hole you can fall into and seriously get hurt or killed. I'm not steady on my feet. I was scared. The camper right next to me operates a puppy mill and the conditions are deplorable. One of the puppies died and I brought it to the managers attention, they already knew. Sad. I have pictures. No one picked up after their dogs. Feces everywhere. The managers really did seem like nice people but leave and try to get your money back. The money you payed with the knowledge that you get what is due to you, they aren't nice at all. This is the only campground I've ever been at that didn't have picnic tables, fire rings, and or bath houses. What kind of campground has no toilets and showers? The tenents are friendly. Update mid March, still waiting for my deposit!!!!! Worst customer service I have ever had. My father died, my mother died. I miss them terribly but I pay my bills. No excuse! I am not calling that woman anymore. She doesn't care. It would be a shame to involve a lawyer but it's coming to that. These people are shysters!
