For Texans, Lost River RV Park offers a highly practical and comfortable solution for RV accommodation, particularly for those in or around the Houston metropolitan area. Its primary appeal for locals lies in its exceptional accessibility to I-10. This means whether you're commuting to work in Baytown, accessing the vast industrial and shipping complexes, or simply using it as a convenient base to explore the region, you'll spend less time on local roads and more time efficiently getting where you need to go. This convenience is a significant factor in daily life in sprawling Texas cities.
The presence of level concrete sites with full hookups is another major draw. Locals know that Texas weather can be unpredictable, and having a stable, well-drained surface for your RV, regardless of recent rain, is a considerable advantage. This attention to foundational infrastructure speaks volumes about the park's reliability. Furthermore, the consistent praise for the friendly and accommodating staff, including their flexibility for late arrivals and assistance during emergencies, resonates strongly with the Texan value of helpfulness and hospitality. This ensures a welcoming and supportive environment, which is highly appreciated by residents.
While the traffic noise from I-10 is a minor trade-off for the unparalleled access, many Texans are accustomed to varying levels of ambient noise, and amenities like air conditioning can easily mitigate this. The park's character as a "long-term camper village" also makes it suitable for locals seeking a more settled community feel rather than a constantly rotating tourist spot. For those needing a reliable, well-equipped, and conveniently located RV park with excellent customer service in the Baytown area, Lost River RV Park is a solid choice that meets practical needs with a friendly touch.

We called late Friday evening and talked with Rhonda. She was very nice and accommodating allowing us to pull in for one night, with a really late arrival. A spot close to the gate was level concrete, and very much appreciated due to that we didn't even unhook the truck from the RV. The only minus was it seemed they, like us, have received a lot of rain recently. So at the back of the RV where the electric hookup was there was quite a few inches of rain water standing. So my husband had to constantly wade through it to hook up and then again to unhook. Again, this isn't the parks fault at all. We are just super appreciative of being able to pull in later than normal. I wasn't able to walk around the park as we were in a hurry to leave this morning, but from what I could tell it looked well maintained and clean. But I cannot vouch for other amenities. So, thank you Rhonda for a great night's sleep!!!
May 31, 2025 · Jenn KruizengaStayed here two nights on our trip across Texas. The good things to say: the sites are level and concrete, full hookups in site and easy access from I-10. Supermarket and gas stations close by. The manager was very helpful when we needed to delay our checkout because we had to take our dog to a nearby vet. A few things that aren't as good: no shade or trees, and the park is really close to I-10 (traffic noise all night long, but the air conditioner helped cover it up) and it's more of a long term camper village than a campground. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just not the same as a campground if that makes sense.
May 17, 2025 · kevin connellI have lived here since August and LOVE it. I have made great friends here. Ms. Ronda in the office is absolutely Amazing and goes out of her way to help when she can. I was worried as this is my first time living in an RV - no sweat as there is lots of help! I am blessed to be here.
Mar 26, 2025 · Penny GlassHighly recommended for your permanent or temporary stay. Management (Ms Rhonda) is extremely helpful and on point. We left our rv here for months while traveling. Every time we called to check in Ms Rhonda always answered our questions and checked on our rv, especially during the snow storms. The laundry facility is extremely clean and affordable. Also the grounds are very well kept and the fishing is awesome!! Very beautiful scenery on the water! Highly recommended for individuals or families! Great area to be in! Still here and loving our stay!!
Feb 10, 2025 · Celeste BellardI've lived here for almost 2&1/2 years. I really love this park! Great neighbors and top notch management! Yes,and the Christian atmosphere is what I prefer. I moved my mother and brother here also and one of our neighbors helped repair a wooden ramp that my mother uses. We all look out for one another. Although I can't believe we rode out hurricane Beryl in campers it all went pretty well. Rhonda Weed really cares about the needs of the people here and I really cherish her as a good friend. Thanks Lost River 🙏🇺🇸
