For RVers navigating the vibrant landscape of Southeast Texas, finding a convenient and welcoming place to stay is paramount. Buzzards Roost RV Park in Baytown, Texas, offers a unique proposition for both transient visitors and those seeking a longer-term base in the area. This park aims to provide essential amenities for comfortable RV living, positioning itself as a practical option for individuals and families exploring the region or working on local projects.
Located in the active community of Baytown, Buzzards Roost RV Park offers a no-frills approach to RV accommodation, focusing on the core necessities for a hassle-free stay. While experiences can vary, as with any bustling location, the park primarily serves as a functional and accessible point for those needing a place to hook up and settle in. In this article, we'll delve into the specifics of Buzzards Roost RV Park, helping you determine if it's the right fit for your Texas RV adventure.
Buzzards Roost RV Park is situated at 8011 FM 3180 Rd, Baytown, TX 77523, USA. This location offers both convenience and a touch of the local Baytown character. FM 3180 Road provides straightforward access, which is a significant advantage for RV drivers. The park is located just south of Interstate 10, a major thoroughfare, ensuring easy navigation to and from larger metropolitan areas like Houston and Beaumont.
One notable aspect of the park's location is its proximity to a strip mall. This means residents have immediate access to various retail centers and additional amenities, which can be incredibly convenient for daily needs, such as groceries, dining, and other services. This direct adjacency to commercial establishments can be a double-edged sword; while it offers unparalleled convenience, it might also mean a less secluded or "nature-immersed" experience compared to some other RV parks. However, for those who prioritize easy access to urban conveniences over a remote setting, this location is ideal. The park is central to communities in Old River, Winfree, and Cove, making it a feasible commute to those areas, as well as the larger cities of Baytown and Houston.
Furthermore, Baytown itself is rich with local attractions. Within a short drive, you can reach destinations like the Royal Purple Raceway (formerly Houston Raceway Park), the Eagle Pointe Golf Club, and various county parks such as McCollum Park, offering birding and fishing opportunities. For family fun, Pirates Bay Water Park is also within reach. Historical sites like the Battleship Texas and the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Park are about a half-hour drive away, providing rich cultural experiences. This combination of highway accessibility and proximity to local attractions and essential services makes Buzzards Roost RV Park a strategically located option for RVers in the Baytown area.
Buzzards Roost RV Park is designed to provide the fundamental services necessary for a comfortable RV stay, particularly for long-term residents. The park's offerings focus on utility provisions and basic on-site conveniences. While specific experiences with management and facility upkeep can vary, the core services aim to meet the needs of RVers.
Buzzards Roost RV Park offers features that contribute to its functionality as a long-term or short-term RV base in Baytown. While the park's overall aesthetic and management experience have received mixed reviews, certain physical features and convenient aspects stand out.
It's important for prospective visitors to consider that while these features are listed, some reviews suggest that the actual experience, particularly concerning cleanliness of shared facilities (like the laundromat and dumpster area) and consistent management presence, can be inconsistent. The park appears to be primarily populated by full-time residents, which can contribute to a settled community feel for some, but may also impact the availability or feel for short-term visitors.
When considering an RV park, understanding potential promotions or special offers can significantly impact your budget. Buzzards Roost RV Park, like many in Texas, participates in certain discount programs and may offer various rates depending on the length of your stay. While highly specific, fluctuating, and direct-to-consumer promotional campaigns might not be widely advertised publicly, the primary known discount available is through a major RV membership program.
Given the nature of RV park operations, it is always recommended to contact Buzzards Roost RV Park directly at the provided phone number to inquire about their current rates, any specific long-term stay packages, and to confirm the applicability of any discounts like Passport America for your intended dates. I stayed here for 8 months. It was a great place to live at. Mrs. Valerie was the lady in charge there for the first few months we were there. She was an awesome person who always had an amazing attitude and was very friendly. In March 2021 they hired a younger new lady who was very rude and would never be in the office. The only time she greeted me nicely was when I went to pay the rent and her boss was there. I struggled to even pay my rent because she was never there and never answered the phone. The laundromat was a pigstalk and the security cameras were always off in the last months I was there. Irresponsibility was her middle name. Persons like her shouldn't be allowed to work with costumers. Period.
Sep 23, 2021 · Sara VThe park is directly behind a strip mall. This is a small park and it appears to be mostly full time people. The site we were in was behind the strip mall and the site was too short for our RV. The trashcan was shared with the strip mall and there was glass and trash on the ground by the dumpster. We did not feel safe here and left early. We will not stay here again.
Apr 28, 2021 · Garry GWe had stayed at Buzzards Roost a few times a couple of times a while back. Our first stay in 3years. Entire park is kept-up, landscape is maintained no kneehigh grass. Residents are mostly transient factory & plant workers. Relatively quite. No drama. Management is friendly, helpful. Great local info, and guidance. Rates are extremely competitive to the RV Resorts in area. There are laundry facilities. If all you need is safe, clean park with hook-ups, this is it. 5💫A+
May 30, 2024 · Gerald FerrellAlways a great RV Park. Always nice and clean. The employees are always very helpful.
May 11, 2025 · Michael CoxThey don't distrubute mail legally, they hold it in the office so if it's the weekend or before 11am and after 4pm Monday through friday your not getting it. Also they don't follow state and federal lease laws by any means. They have people that like to start stuff and wanna fight you then like to call the cops when you get sick of it. They won't evict the people who start stuff because 1 of them cleans for the manager and is her friend. Also if you don't mind sewage leaking from people's campers then you will be ok because the manager won't correct it or make the tenant fix so enjoy she smell if your near those people. Some of the guys will walk out of thier camper and just pee right in front of women and children and the manager will turn a blind eye and pretend she didn't know about it.
