Information regarding specific, ongoing promotions or special offers for Missouri Valley City Campground is not widely publicized through standard review platforms or general city park listings. As a city-operated campground that prides itself on affordability and a simple, honor-system payment structure, it is less common for them to run complex promotional campaigns compared to larger, privately-owned campgrounds or resort-style RV parks.
However, it is always a good practice to inquire directly with the City of Missouri Valley Parks & Recreation department, or look for any posted notices at the campground itself, upon arrival. They might have seasonal considerations or information about discounted rates for extended stays, or perhaps special pricing during certain times of the year that aren't broadly advertised online. Given the reported nightly rate of $15 (though some recent reviews indicate $25 for electrical spots), the campground already offers a highly competitive and attractive price point for camping in Iowa, often serving as its own continuous "special offer" due to its value.
While formal discount codes or bundled deals are unlikely, potential visitors could inquire about:
-
Weekly or Monthly Rates: Sometimes, campgrounds offer a lower per-night rate for stays that extend beyond a few nights.
-
Off-Peak Season Pricing: If the campground experiences lower visitor numbers during certain months, there might be unadvertised incentives for staying during those times.
-
Local Resident Discounts: Though not explicitly stated, some city parks occasionally offer minor discounts to local residents, which could be worth asking about.
The primary appeal for Missouri Valley City Campground remains its consistent affordability and straightforward pricing structure, making it a budget-friendly option year-round for Iowa campers.

Customer Reviews
Very nice park with RV sites around the perimeter along the fence. Electric at each site, water at every 3rd site. No sewer connection but there is a dump site. It was quiet overnight with the exception of an occasional train. Sites are only $15 put into a drop box. The pay envelope bin was empty and, according to others, had been that way for over a week. City workers came and went every day but no one checked for payments.
The hookups are around tje fence. You park on side..water is about every 3rd site, bring a long hose. There is a kids park right next to camping. Beautiful location.
Stayed in a tent. Trains come through repeatedly at night blowing their horn. It is a nice little park but the train horns ruins it, at least for tent campers. Can not recommend unfortunately.
Nice little city campground. The bathrooms (no showers) are on the SE corner of one of the big white buildings. The bathrooms on the NW side and facing the park are locked (only open for special events I believe) and not part of the campground.
Train runs through here about 50 feet away and honks its horn exactly here. Probably 8 trains have passed through overnight and you still have to listen to the thumping of the tracks. Besides that the park is fine
