When New Yorkers consider their housing options, the pursuit of affordability and a peaceful environment often leads them to explore alternatives outside of the bustling city and high-cost suburbs. For those seeking homeownership without the steep financial barriers of traditional site-built homes, manufactured home communities present an increasingly attractive and viable path. Among the prominent options in the greater New York region is the
This community offers a blend of tranquil, nature-filled living with the structure and amenities of a residential neighborhood. It represents more than just a place to live; it's a neighborhood where residents can find a sense of belonging and a break from the relentless pace of urban life. For families, retirees, and individuals looking for a long-term, stable, and cost-effective housing solution, New Twin Lakes Village merits serious consideration. The goal of this article is to provide local users with an informative, professional, and engaging overview of what this unique community offers, drawing on publicly available details and customer experiences to provide a balanced perspective.
Manufactured homes, sometimes colloquially referred to as 'mobile homes,' today are modern, well-built structures that adhere to federal safety standards set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). New Twin Lakes Village, as a 'Manufactured Home Community,' provides the land lease and communal facilities, allowing residents to own their home while renting the lot it sits on. This model typically results in a lower overall cost of entry into homeownership.
New Twin Lakes Village is strategically situated in Bloomingburg, New York, an area known for its scenic beauty and accessibility to both nature and necessary urban conveniences. Bloomingburg is located in the beautiful Hudson Valley region, specifically within Sullivan County, though very close to the Orange County border. This positioning is ideal for those who value a woodsy, park-like atmosphere while still requiring access to retail and services.
The community's address is
Accessibility by road is excellent, positioning the community well for commuters and those who enjoy regional travel. It is located relatively near major regional roadways, which facilitates travel throughout the greater New York area. For those who rely on public transportation, local bus routes are mentioned as an option, which makes it easier for residents to explore the surrounding areas and maintain connectivity, though specific route details should always be verified by prospective residents. The combination of easy access to nature—with nearby parks like Fancher-Davidge Park, Highland Lakes State Park, and Circleville Park—and proximity to necessary amenities is a significant draw for locals looking for a balanced lifestyle.
The appeal of a manufactured home community like New Twin Lakes Village often extends beyond the homes themselves to the array of services and communal amenities provided. Foremost among them is the opportunity for affordable homeownership in a region where housing costs are often prohibitive. It offers a chance to build equity in a modern, quality-built home without the burdensome purchase price of a traditional house and land.
Furthermore, the community provides a valuable escape from the density and noise of more urbanized parts of New York. The scenic, park-like setting in Bloomingburg delivers a peaceful, nature-oriented lifestyle that is highly sought after, and as one current resident noted, the "morning air is great" and provides "such a relief." For those raising a family, the on-site amenities, including the playground and the sense of a dedicated neighborhood, are significant benefits.
While all communities have their operational challenges, as evidenced by some resident feedback regarding the swimming pool and lot rent, the overall value proposition remains strong. It’s a stable, organized community that offers essential services and recreational features like the clubhouse and fishing areas, fostering a true sense of community—a characteristic often missing in larger, less cohesive developments. It is a place where you can own your home and enjoy the quiet side of New York living.

I'm living here for almost exactly 1 year. I have not had any issues whatsoever. Very quiet where I am. The neighbours are nice and polite. I should have purchased here years ago. The morning air is great. Such a relief. Many others here might have had issues but I haven't so far. I'm grateful to be here
Dec 23, 2021 · Paranoid AndroidI've lived here almost 2 years and the rent is outrageous. The explanation of why the rent is so much is because there is a clubhouse and a pool. We have never needed or used the clubhouse and the pool is closed more than it is open. Last year we were able to swim at our own risk. This year we can not. Their reason is because the filters are broken. We can ONLY swim when a lifeguard is on duty and yet the filters are still broken!!! Also, the pool hours states it's open from 12pm to 7pm yet it's NEVER open until 7 because the lifeguards stop getting paid at 7 so they close it at either 6:30 or 6:45 so they can do their end of day things while still getting paid so that they can leave at 7! Ridiculous!!!
Jul 02, 2018 · Laura SutherlandThe homes are actually really nice. They have different sizes. There is a community pool, basketball court and a lake. The only issue is when you put an address in the gps for directions to come here it doesn't give any. You have to know the area. Otherwise great spot to either rent or own a home.
Sep 01, 2020 · Lanier SterbenzLot rent is to high, 4 years of living there the pool was never fully functioning. The lake is dirty. The park is rampant with drugs, I personally found used needles at the bus stop. The neighborhood kids are tyrants. Four wheelers, motorcycles and cars fly up the roads. With that being said the office staff in the past year are top notch. Hopefully they can straighten the place out.
Dec 21, 2019 · Miathis place is a joke..my children were bullied and nobody did anything after we made numerous complaints and we must have aggravated the park management because they began to find reasons to evict us. The management are extremely rude and disrespectful and completely lack professionalism. when we initially moved in they were aware that we had 2 dogs which by the way are certified emotional support dogs and after the bully situation with my kids management began to create complaints about my dogs and then my children and we got the feeling they were trying to force us out and we were told by other residents that management has done it to other ppl in the past.. long story short they tried to force us to forfeit our deed and we finally just decided to leave. imo The park is filthy and poorly maintained with dilapidated trailers everywhere for children to play in and around and possibly get injured and ppl driving through the park always speed! i have 4 kids, the speed limit should be 10-15mph but everybody flies through the park 30-40mph its crazy! we also heard from other residents there is a serious drug issue as well and don't end up a little late on lot rent because they waste no time evicting ppl you will have a sheriff at your door with eviction notice in hand. In my opinion Twin Lakes is not a nice place to live especially if you have children and dogs or high anxiety for that matter. it isn't worth the headache. Prob in our top 5 worst places we have ever lived.
