Oak Creek Mobile Home Park About

This article aims to provide a clear and factual overview of Oak Creek Mobile Home Park, located in Oskaloosa, Iowa, based on publicly available information and customer feedback, to help local users in the Iowa region learn more about this particular place.

The concept of mobile home living has evolved, with many parks providing a sense of community and a range of amenities. For residents in Iowa, mobile homes can offer a unique pathway to homeownership or a stable rental option, often at a lower cost than traditional stick-built homes. However, just like any housing choice, it's essential to research thoroughly and understand the specific dynamics of a given community before committing. This article will delve into the details of Oak Creek Mobile Home Park, providing insights into its location, reported experiences, and contact information.

Mobile home parks can present a viable alternative to traditional housing options in Iowa, particularly for those seeking more budget-friendly solutions. The initial cost of purchasing a manufactured home is often lower than a conventional house, and the ongoing expenses, such as lot rent, can sometimes be more manageable than mortgage payments or apartment rent. This affordability can appeal to a wide range of individuals and families looking to maximize their financial flexibility. Furthermore, many modern manufactured homes are built with energy efficiency in mind, potentially leading to lower utility bills over time.

Beyond the financial aspects, some mobile home communities cultivate a close-knit environment, where neighbors know each other and a sense of collective responsibility for the community's well-being can flourish. This can provide a supportive network and a more personalized living experience. However, the quality of this experience is heavily dependent on the management and maintenance of the park, which is a key factor to consider when evaluating any mobile home park.

There are also claims of questionable billing practices, specifically regarding water charges and rent increases that reportedly did not adhere to lease terms or state law regarding notice periods. These reviews strongly advise against renting at Oak Creek Mobile Home Park unless there is a change in property management.

For local Iowans exploring mobile home parks, it is paramount to engage in direct, detailed communication with the park management, request all information in writing, and carefully review all lease agreements and park rules before making any commitments. Understanding your rights as a tenant under Iowa state law is also highly recommended. While mobile home parks can offer an accessible housing pathway, being fully informed about the specific experiences of current and past residents is critical for a positive outcome. Due to the significant negative feedback concerning management practices, prospective residents should exercise extreme caution and verify all claims and conditions directly with the park and potentially seek independent advice before considering Oak Creek Mobile Home Park as a suitable living option.

Beware of Oak Creek Mobile Home Park's Property Manager! I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the property manager at Oak Creek Mobile Home Park. My experience with them has been a nightmare, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. The property manager is guilty of misleading and false advertising. They advertised properties that were not available or did not exist. They led me on, making promises they had no intention of keeping. When I asked questions or requested information, they lied or procrastinated. The property manager's unprofessional behavior and lack of timeliness are unacceptable. They failed to return phone calls, ignored emails, and delayed responses. When I finally got a response, it was often vague or misleading. I wasted valuable time and resources dealing with Oak Creek Mobile Home Park's property manager. I hope others can learn from my experience and avoid the same mistakes. But here's the worse: when we spoke to her boss about our unsatisfactory experience, the property manager retaliated! She became even more uncooperative and vindictive. It was clear she was trying to punish us for daring to speak up. Specifically, - Advertised properties that didn't exist - Lied about the application process and availability - Ignored our calls, emails, and messages - Retaliated against us when we complained to her boss - Was consistently unprofessional and unhelpful Oak Creek Mobile Home Park's property manager has made our experience a living hell. We're still dealing with the aftermath of her actions. Don't make the same mistake we did - avoid this place at all costs! Unless the property management changes, I would strongly advise against renting at Oak Creek Mobile Home Park. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision about Oak Creek Mobile Home Park.

They will try and milk you for every dime they can. They will charge you for leaks that are obviously their responsibility weather its vacant homes or water main break. My fiance and I were on the road for a month as I'm a truck driver and they said we owed 307 dollars in water. They attempted to raise our rent on us even though we were locked in for a year and then after that year they never sent a 90 day notice of rent increasing even though it's not only in the lease but also state law to do so. They are still trying to charge more than the lease allows for. I highly recommend to stay as far away as possible.

What is going on? There is illegal as hell carrying people water by the bedrooms instead of by the units of water and finding out they had 19 different water leaks in the trailers that people were having to pay single person living. There was getting charged $350 for the three bedroom trailer dumpsters are inconvenient for the trash all around would not live there you couldn’t pay me to live there three managers in less than one year no one knowing who was running what or who to go to with problems, trailers, or cockroach infested yes the brand new ones trailers that should be disassembled and used for metal have broken out windows piss poor outfit! Totally shocked they haven’t been sued yet

Where do I beginning , the owner should.come to the park without any corporate or park manager, and have a full.on discussion with us, because it's becoming too much for everyone to afford here. They gave us a less than 24 hour notice to mow our yard and get trash down , So basically now my mower tore up my yard and before I had the chance to get trash down I got a notice , and on top of that My soon to be husband was added to pur lease , he filled out the background check and got approved and everything but corporate is stating my roommate and I sold.him our trailer.. that's not the case Nobody can keep anything straight. According to the lease WE HAVE TO HAVE A 90 DAY NOTICE ABOUT OUR RENT GOING UP WE NEVER GOT THAT , BUT corporate is stating we knew cuz they are claiming we sols my fiance our trailer when we never did... there is alot of shit happening around this trailer park , And I belive management is only going after certain trailers, because trailer near me have not gotten notices about there yards being mowed/maintaining there yard . Stop targeting certain people. I'm ready to move the hell out of here

Dont ever get trailers here they over charge people for water bills and then hire a b**** for park manager and expect all old trailers to fix them up at our expense since they have almost all new trailers there took out the little play area for kids roads suck and they are the highest park around oskaloosa I have done my research maybe they should the ones who ran the park before this new manager at least would listen to people but the new one it's her way or the hiway and the new maintenance guy has a bad attitude and is out yelling and screaming bad language my kids don't need to hear the company will not make any money tell they spend money like playground and new water under the park there seems to many water leaks that we have to pay for and they don't do anything about fixing the water to get bills down and they need to look into laws about running trailer parks in Iowa they are breaking a few
