Oak Grove RV & MH Park About

Are you a Florida resident seeking a tranquil and generally well-maintained place to call home, whether in an RV for an extended stay or as a long-term mobile home resident? Oak Grove RV & MH Park in Pensacola offers a unique blend of options for those looking for a peaceful environment. This park provides a setting where many residents experience a quiet and clean atmosphere, making it a potential haven away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Oak Grove RV & MH Park caters to both recreational vehicle enthusiasts and individuals seeking a permanent manufactured home residence. It aims to provide a comfortable and welcoming space for its community members. While experiences can vary, the park strives to maintain a standard of cleanliness and tranquility that many residents appreciate. Whether you're considering a seasonal retreat or a more permanent move, understanding the nuances of a combined RV and mobile home park like Oak Grove is key to determining if it aligns with your lifestyle and expectations in the Florida Panhandle.

Oak Grove RV & MH Park is situated at 1801 Border St, Pensacola, FL 32505, USA. This location places it in a part of Pensacola that offers a mix of residential peace and convenient access to wider city amenities. While Border Street itself may be a quieter thoroughfare, its proximity to major roads in Pensacola means that residents typically have relatively easy access to essential services and attractions. For those traveling by RV, the park's location in Pensacola makes it a practical stop for exploring the area or as a base for longer stays.

Accessibility to local conveniences is a key benefit of this address. Nearby, residents can usually find grocery stores, pharmacies, and various dining options within a short drive. The park's position also offers a reasonable commute to Pensacola's diverse offerings, including its beautiful beaches, the historic downtown area, and various employment centers. However, as with any urban or suburban location, traffic conditions can fluctuate. It's always advisable for prospective residents to consider their daily commute patterns and assess local traffic flows when evaluating the location's overall accessibility for their specific needs.

Oak Grove RV & MH Park aims to provide essential services to its residents, covering both RV lot rentals and mobile home spaces. As a combined park, the services cater to both short-term visitors and long-term residents. Based on general expectations for such parks and available information, here's what typically might be offered or implied:

  • RV Site Rentals: The park provides dedicated spaces for RVs, likely including full hookups (electric, water, and sewer) for the convenience of RV travelers.

  • Mobile Home Lots: For permanent residents, the park offers lots for manufactured homes, where residents typically own their homes and lease the land.

  • On-Site Management: A key service for any community, indicating there is staff available to assist residents and manage park operations. However, some reviews suggest inconsistent office hours or accessibility.

  • Grounds Maintenance: While reviews present a mixed picture, the general expectation for such a park is that management handles the upkeep of common areas, internal roads, and possibly some basic landscaping.

  • Utility Connections: For both RV and mobile home sites, the park facilitates access to essential utilities like electricity, water, and sewage connections.

  • Laundry Facilities: Many RV and mobile home parks offer communal laundry facilities for resident convenience, especially for RVers or mobile home residents without in-unit laundry.

  • Basic Cleanliness Standards: As a managed property, there is an inherent service to maintain a certain level of cleanliness across the park. However, specific experiences regarding this can vary as per reviews.

It's important for prospective residents or RVers to confirm specific services and their reliability directly with park management upon inquiry or arrival, as individual experiences may differ.

Oak Grove RV & MH Park has several features and highlights that contribute to its character, alongside some points that prospective residents should consider based on direct feedback. It presents a specific appeal for those seeking a particular type of living or camping experience.

  • Generally Quiet and Peaceful Atmosphere: A significant highlight, as noted by at least one resident, is the overall quiet and peaceful nature of the park. For those looking to escape noise and enjoy a more serene environment, this can be a major advantage.

  • Perceived Cleanliness and Well-Kept Appearance (for some): One review indicates that "Overall it looks clean and well kept." This suggests that some areas or at least certain aspects of the park meet a good standard of maintenance, contributing to a pleasant living experience for some residents.

  • Mixed-Use Community (RV & Mobile Homes): The dual nature of the park, accommodating both RVs for shorter or extended stays and permanent mobile homes, can create a diverse community dynamic. This offers flexibility for different types of residents.

  • Accessible Pensacola Location: While not beachfront, its Pensacola address provides reasonable access to the city's amenities, including shopping, dining, and other local attractions, making it convenient for daily living or exploring the region.

However, it is equally important to acknowledge the contrasting feedback from other experiences:

  • Inconsistent Office Hours/Management Accessibility: A notable concern is the reported difficulty in accessing the park office during stated hours. One reviewer indicated that the office was closed when the website stated it should be open, and was given different, limited hours by a resident. This can be frustrating for those needing assistance or information.

  • Cleanliness and Debris Issues (for some): Directly contradicting the positive feedback, another reviewer described the park as "very trashy" with "lots of debris and trash." This suggests that cleanliness can be inconsistent or that perceptions of cleanliness vary significantly, which is a critical point for potential residents.

  • Negative Experience Leading to Non-Recommendation: The strong negative sentiment from one reviewer, stating "I will NOT be back here. Check elsewhere. DO NOT RECOMMEND!", highlights a concerning level of dissatisfaction with their visit, particularly regarding office access and park conditions.

These contrasting views suggest that prospective residents should perform their own due diligence, perhaps by visiting the park personally at different times, to assess its current condition and management responsiveness.

Given the type of property, Oak Grove RV & MH Park is unlikely to offer traditional "promotions or special offers" in the retail sense. As an RV and mobile home park, any special incentives would typically revolve around long-term stay discounts for RVers or potential move-in incentives for new mobile home residents. These are usually communicated directly by park management and can vary based on availability, seasonality, and the specific terms of a lease or rental agreement.

  • Extended Stay RV Rates: For RVers, it's common for parks to offer reduced daily or weekly rates for stays of a month or longer. Prospective RV residents should inquire about any such long-term discounts.

  • New Resident Incentives: For mobile home residents, if there are new homes being placed or lots available, the park might occasionally offer incentives like a waived application fee, a reduced first month's lot rent, or assistance with utility hookups. However, based on the provided reviews, such offers are not explicitly mentioned and would need direct inquiry.

It is always recommended to contact the park directly via phone to inquire about any current rates, long-term options, or specific offers that may be available. Being prepared with questions about lease terms, fees, and any potential incentives is crucial for making an informed decision.

To inquire further about Oak Grove RV & MH Park, whether for RV stays or mobile home residency, you can contact them directly using the following information:

  • Address: 1801 Border St, Pensacola, FL 32505, USA

  • Phone: (850) 633-9257

  • Mobile Phone: +1 850-633-9257

It is strongly advised to call ahead, especially to confirm office hours and ensure someone is available to assist you. Given the mixed reviews about office accessibility, a pre-arranged visit or call during expected business hours would be beneficial to get accurate and up-to-date information directly from park management.

For Florida locals, Oak Grove RV & MH Park presents a consideration for those seeking a particular type of community and living arrangement in Pensacola. Its suitability hinges on a resident’s priorities and expectations. If a generally quiet and peaceful environment is a top priority, some residents have indeed found this to be a highlight of the park. For RVers, it offers a base in Pensacola, a city rich in Gulf Coast attractions, without necessarily being right in the tourist hustle. For mobile home residents, it provides a pathway to homeownership within a managed community setting.

However, locals considering Oak Grove must also be aware of the mixed reviews regarding park upkeep and management accessibility. The contrasting opinions on cleanliness and the reported difficulty in reaching the office suggest that while some residents find it well-kept and peaceful, others have had less positive experiences. This means that a proactive approach, including a personal visit to assess the current state of the park and to gauge management responsiveness, is crucial for any local seriously considering this as a place to live or stay. For those who value a tranquil setting and are prepared to manage potential inconsistencies, Oak Grove RV & MH Park could still be a viable option for an affordable or extended stay in Pensacola, allowing them to enjoy the benefits of living in their home state.

I drove into the park at 9:00 a.m. as the website indicates they open at 9. No one in the office. I asked someone that lives there what time the office is open. I was told 10-2 with the manager Cindy being gone 12-1 for lunch. I drove through the park and very trashy. Lots of debris and trash. I will NOT be back here. Check elsewhere.

I am moving 8/24 from the mountains of Colorado (10,257' above sea level) to Pensacola. I am so stoked that I spoke with Cindy to make arrangements to move to Oak Grove RV & MH Park on 8/24-?. Maybe this will be my permanent home. Cindy in the office was amazing and made me feel very comfortable about the move.
