In the thriving heart of Johnson City, Tennessee, Oakgrove Village stands out as a compelling option, presenting a lifestyle that blends practicality with a friendly atmosphere. This article is crafted specifically for our local Tennessee residents, providing a clear, engaging, and informative overview of Oakgrove Village. Our aim is to help you learn more about what makes this mobile home park a suitable and appealing choice for your housing needs in our beloved Volunteer State.
Mobile home parks, or as they are increasingly known, manufactured home communities, have undergone a significant transformation. They've evolved beyond older stereotypes to offer modern amenities, a structured environment, and a pathway to stable housing that often bypasses the high entry costs of traditional stick-built homes. Oakgrove Village exemplifies this modern approach, striving to provide a well-managed and welcoming setting where residents can truly feel at home. We understand that for many Tennesseans, striking the right balance between cost, comfort, and community is paramount, and communities like Oakgrove Village play a vital role in providing diverse housing solutions that meet these demands.
The core appeal of living in a manufactured home community like Oakgrove Village often centers on its affordability. In a housing market where prices can be challenging, the option of reasonable lot rents and even rent-to-own refurbished homes offers a more accessible route to establishing a stable residence. This financial accessibility can significantly ease the burden on household budgets, freeing up resources that can be directed towards other necessities, savings, or enjoying the rich cultural and natural attractions of East Tennessee. Oakgrove Village aims to provide this economic advantage, making comfortable living a reality for more individuals and families in our region.
Moreover, a strong sense of community is a hallmark of many successful mobile home parks. Unlike some larger, more anonymous residential developments, communities such as Oakgrove Village can foster closer neighborly ties. The presence of long-term residents, active management, and shared spaces often encourages interactions, leading to a friendly and supportive environment. While every community has its unique personality, the potential for a place where neighbors genuinely look out for one another and where a sense of belonging can flourish is a significant draw. Oakgrove Village, with its focus on good neighbors and responsive management, aims to cultivate just such an atmosphere, offering a more connected and stable way of life that resonates deeply with the values cherished by Tennesseans.

Customer Reviews
Lived here for years, and love it. You got some weird neighbors here and there but even the weird ones need a home 😂. I think one of the reasons this park runs so well is the park manager Ms. Kitty. She's a rockstar manager to work with. The lot rents are reasonable, and we just got fiber from Bright Ridge so if you want fast Internet and a cheap place to live. Look no further than this humble little Mobile HOME park.
Mcsherry Management-Mobile Homes are rent to own; older refurbished homes, Manager is very helpful.,Great location near exit 17 & 13.We have good neighbors.A quiet place where neighbors work regular jobs. Some folks are retired. There are lots for rent as well. Clean and well kept. Some neighbors stay until they get a house to own.Drama-yeah, but not much and quickly resolved by management and/or neighbors. Only bad thing-There is no playground area for very young kids.
Sending mowers put at 9 am is ridiculous. Some of us don't sit in a office all day. Some of us work hard and work the graveyard shift. The fact I've been driving through mud for 2 years because you won't put gravel down is ridiculous too considering we pay on your land taxes.
Been here 18 years most of the people on my road have been here close to if not longer then me!!The manager is nice they could get rid of certain people clean up a bit and make it nice add the pool as promised and play ground for children the owner his rude and mean he's one of the 2%ters from California other then that I guess if you can't afford land it's as good as any mobile home park...
The owner now, is a money hungry thief and will wait till you do something nice to your home and try and show some pride in your place, then he tries to take things that you have had for 4 years and tell you that you can not have this or do that to make you not like where you live, all so that you will try to find somewhere else to live and sale them back the home for just pennies on the thousand dollars. Then they turn around and sale the home again for quadruple of what they paid you for it, and it is nowhere even close to what you have paid on it already. From what I can tell, the park manager of Oak Grove Mobile Home Park is nice and tries to stay honest, until the manager is told that they are out of something and that they do not want them talking to you or the owner about what is actually going on and you can not even talk to the Park manager on any of it any more. You (I) requested a phone number, a phone call, or even a meeting with the Park Owner and no one will even talk to me or even get me on the phone with the Park Owner. The Park Owner requested me to do some work for the Park, and now when I turned my bill in to them, they turned their noses up at me and my bill like they are just to high and mighty to even have to pay a tenant of the Park for anything, even though they requested the work to be done. I took too much pride inside and outside my home to the point that it was looking really nice and brought the value of the home way up, so the Park Owner decided that he was going to try and start taking property from me that I had already had and was using for 4 years and trying to make me mad to the point that I will just sale them back my home so that they can make a very large profit from it. All of me taking pride in my home, and then started getting property taken from me that I have had, used, and paid lot rent on for 4 years took place before the Park Owner requested me to do some work for the Park, and after I turned my bill in to them they decided to turn their noses up at me, and also told the Park Management to turn their noses up at me and not to even talk to or with me on the matter. For 4 years, I was happy with Oak Grove Park, then the Park Owner decided to do me the way that he done me..... So I am very disappointed, dissatisfied, and will not recommend Oak Grove Park or any of McSherry Management Places to anyone.
