We stayed in the Hidden Springs cabin. It was perfect for our family of 5. The kids loved the playground on site and we loved that Ole Mink was close to all the sites we planned to visit on our trip. We went to Gettysburg, Cunningham Falls, the Catoctin Furnace, and the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve. We also had great meals nearby at Bollinger's, Thurmont Kountry Kitchen, Rocky's Pizza, Simply Asia, and The Ott House in Emmitsburg.

My BF has been booking a few nights here in November/December the last few years as part of my birthday present. Super relaxing time! Our usual cabin (Quiet Oak) was booked up this year and we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hemlock Haven cabin. Even got a little snow to make it all the more special. Staff and facilities are great! Thank you!

I have nothing but positive to say about this charming getaway!! It was such a lovely weekend away with our dog. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. So many great hikes close by, a pool, a game room, fire pits, swimming at the pool, a little dog park, the cabin was adorable, etc. I highly recommend!! We will be back for sure.

This was the best cabin camping experience I have ever had in my entire life. The staff gave us a warm welcome with thorough details and baked cookies. The cabin was amazing. It was very clean, modern, beautifully decorated, amazing bathroom and full kitchen. The fridge had an ice maker, coffee machine with coffee and sugar, bakeware and dishes with utensils. The cabin even had a fireplace, screened in porch with rocking chairs, WiFi, cable tv, plenty of firewood and chairs around a fire pit with a picnic table. You don’t have to bring much and the experience is very relaxing. We were sad to leave. This is definitely going to be a yearly trip.

I swear I could write a book about this amazing spot. My husband and I were looking for a cabin to book on our way home from our yearly OBX camping trip when I stumbled upon this gem. We stayed in the Hummingbird cabin, and it was amazing. We got so much more than we expected. Every possible amenity in the cabin that we could need, as well as everything else you could need in the great little store, and the facilities they have on site. We had some car trouble on our way there and were forced to abandon our first night as we could never make it in time, but Debbie was SO wonderful working with us to ensure we could still have our two nights in the cabin. There is a really nice ADA accessible pool as well. I was expecting a KOA-style resort with not much privacy between spaces and lots of noise, and I was WAY off the mark. It was nice and quiet even though there were clearly lots of families there, and so much greenery, you never feel exposed. It is clearly a family run establishment, and run very well. It may not be right on any major highways, or bordering any big cities, but don't let the drive dissuade you, this place is a true gem that is becoming harder and harder to find these days. My husband and I hope to rent one of their seasonal RV spots soon, as we can't think of anywhere we'd rather spend our summers.
