Location and Accessibility

Omro RV Park is strategically located at 1938 E Main St, Omro, WI 54963, USA. Omro is a small city in Winnebago County, Wisconsin, situated along the Fox River, just a short drive west of the larger city of Oshkosh. This location offers a fantastic balance of quiet, small-town charm with easy access to bigger city amenities and attractions.

For RVers, accessibility is key, and Omro RV Park delivers. It's conveniently located just about five miles west of US-41, a major north-south highway in Wisconsin, making it incredibly easy to reach from various parts of the state. Whether you're traveling from Milwaukee, Madison, or Green Bay, the park is a straightforward drive. Once you're in Omro, the park's address on East Main Street (Highway 21) means it's simple to find, often just east of the downtown area.

A significant convenience highlighted by past visitors is the ability to walk to a nearby Piggly Wiggly grocery store, which is approximately 100 meters away. This proximity to essential supplies is a huge plus for RV travelers. While the park is noted to be in an "industrial area" with a solid waste management company nearby and potential "Farmville smell" from local dairy farms, many find that the park's other advantages, particularly its value and cleanliness, far outweigh these minor industrial notes. The gravel pads are easily accessible for any sized rig, ensuring a hassle-free setup upon arrival.

Services Offered

Omro RV Park focuses on providing essential, well-maintained services that cater directly to the needs of RV travelers, all while maintaining an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and affordability.

  • Electric Hookups: Each site at Omro RV Park comes equipped with electric hookups. While the majority of sites offer 30 amp service, there are also a few sites available with 50 amp service to accommodate larger rigs or those with higher power demands. This is a crucial amenity for comfortable RV living.

  • Free Dump Station: A significant advantage for all campers is the complimentary dump station. Located near the main building (or a municipal garage, according to some reviews), this facility allows guests to conveniently empty their black and grey water tanks before departing, or as needed during their stay. This service is free for campers and available for a small fee for non-campers.

  • Free Water Fill Point: Alongside the dump station, a free water faucet is available for campers to fill their fresh water tanks. This ensures you have access to potable water for your RV's needs.

  • Super-Clean Restrooms and Private Shower Rooms: This is arguably one of the most lauded services at Omro RV Park. Visitors consistently praise the restrooms and shower facilities for being "super-clean" and featuring "modern fixtures." The presence of private bathroom and shower rooms with code entry provides an added level of comfort and privacy, a luxury often not found at such an affordable price point.

  • Enclosed RV Storage: For those looking for long-term solutions, Omro RV Park also offers enclosed RV storage. This service is ideal for locals who want a secure place to store their RV when not in use, offering peace of mind.

  • Gravel Pads: The RV sites feature well-maintained gravel pads, ensuring a stable and level surface for parking your recreational vehicle. These pads are generally long enough to accommodate any length rig, including pull-through sites.

  • Self Check-in: For convenience, Omro RV Park operates on a self-check-in system, typically cash or check only. This allows for flexible arrival times without needing to coordinate with staff for initial check-in.

Features / Highlights

Omro RV Park stands out for its exceptional value and core offerings, making it a highly recommended choice for Wisconsin RVers, particularly those who prioritize cleanliness and affordability.

  • Unbeatable Price Point: At a reported rate of $15-$25 per night (with variations over time), Omro RV Park offers an incredibly affordable camping experience, especially considering the amenities provided. This value is a huge highlight for budget-conscious travelers.

  • Exceptional Cleanliness: Consistently praised in reviews, the park's dedication to cleanliness, particularly in the showers and restrooms, is a major draw. This high standard of hygiene sets it apart from many other RV parks.

  • Friendly and Helpful Owner/Camphost: "Sandy, the owner, sweet lady and very helpful!" and "camphost uber friendly, Air Force vet" are common sentiments among visitors. The personal touch and accommodating nature of the management create a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere, often turning first-time visitors into repeat customers.

  • Convenient Walk to Piggly Wiggly: The very short walk (approximately 100 meters) to a nearby grocery store is a significant convenience for campers needing to restock supplies, eliminating the need to drive for basic necessities.

  • Reliable Cell Service: Reviews mention strong Verizon LTE hotspot performance (27 Mbps DL, 23 Mbps UL), indicating good connectivity for those who need to stay connected for work or entertainment while on the road.

  • Proximity to Oshkosh: Located just about 10 minutes (8 miles) from Oshkosh, the park offers convenient access to a larger city with more attractions, dining options, and the famous EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event, which draws thousands of RVers annually. Many campers choose Omro RV Park as their base during this popular airshow.

  • Spacious Pull-Through Sites: The gravel pads are often long (reportedly up to 80ft) and are primarily pull-through, making it easy to maneuver even the largest RVs, which is a major convenience for many travelers.

Promotions or Special Offers

Given its already exceptionally low nightly rate, Omro RV Park's primary "promotion" is its consistent affordability. At reported prices ranging from $15 to $25 per night, it stands out as one of the most budget-friendly options in the region, especially considering the level of cleanliness and included amenities like free dump and water.

While specific, formal "promotions" beyond this excellent base rate are not explicitly advertised in public data, RV parks often offer:

  • Extended Stay Rates: For those looking to stay longer than a few nights, there might be slight reductions for weekly or even monthly bookings, particularly for the enclosed RV storage option.

  • Seasonal Rates: If the park operates seasonally, there might be specific rates for shoulder seasons (spring/fall) compared to peak summer rates.

To confirm the current nightly rates, any potential long-term stay discounts, or specific details about their enclosed RV storage, it is always best to contact Omro RV Park directly using the contact information provided. Their friendly owner, Sandy, would be the best source for the most up-to-date pricing and availability.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For Wisconsin RV owners, Omro RV Park truly represents an ideal blend of practicality, comfort, and exceptional value, making it a highly suitable choice for a local getaway or a convenient stopover. Its location in Omro, just a stone's throw from major routes like US-41 and a short drive to Oshkosh, means it's incredibly accessible for residents across the state. This easy access is paramount for RVers who value maximizing their time enjoying their destination rather than enduring long, complicated drives.

The core services offered—reliable 30/50 amp electric hookups, free dump stations, and water fill points—cover all the essential needs of an RVer. What truly elevates Omro RV Park, however, is its commitment to cleanliness, particularly evident in its "super-clean" and private bathroom and shower facilities. For many RVers, especially those in smaller rigs without full onboard facilities or those who simply appreciate spotless amenities, this is a significant highlight that enhances the overall comfort of their stay.

Beyond the tangible services, the human element at Omro RV Park is a major draw. The "sweet lady and very helpful" owner, Sandy, along with the "uber friendly" camphost, cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment. This personal touch ensures that campers feel valued and well-cared for, a quality that fosters loyalty and encourages repeat visits from the Wisconsin RV community.

Furthermore, the park's unbeatable price point makes it an incredibly attractive option, allowing Wisconsin families and individuals to enjoy the RV lifestyle without breaking the bank. This affordability, combined with the convenience of being able to walk to a grocery store and the strong cell service, makes daily living at the park effortless. Its proximity to Oshkosh is also a notable advantage, especially during popular events like the EAA AirVenture, providing a quiet and affordable base just minutes from the action.

While the local industrial elements might offer a fleeting "Farmville smell," the overwhelming consensus from local reviews points to a truly "great little park" that offers immense value and a welcoming atmosphere. For Wisconsin RVers prioritizing a clean, affordable, and friendly place to park their rig, whether for a night or a longer stay, Omro RV Park is undoubtedly a top recommendation. It's a testament to the fact that great camping experiences don't always come with a hefty price tag.

What a great little park! Sandy, the owner, sweet lady and very helpful! This park is so clean and well-kept, even the showers are the cleanest I've ever seen in an RV park. Each site comes with up to 30 amp electric, there is free dump station and free water faucet to fill your tank. They've even got enclosed RV storage here. Just a really great Park overall, especially for $15 a night! Cannot beat that! Highly recommended!

Sep 12 2019 we traveled to Omro RV Park, site 3, 053° LR-3, paid $15 30amp electric, Verizon LTE hotspot 27 Mbps DL 23 Mbps UL, dump site, water fill point, saw notice of $5 fee for non campers, flush toilet, super-clean bathroom, private bathroom and shower rooms, modern fixtures, code entry, gravel pads, camphost uber friendly, Air Force vet, 5 miles W of US 41, convenient, walk to Piggly wiggly 100m. Would stay again. Farmville smell overpowering manure odor, may be from local dairy farm. Solid waste management company 300m SE, semi's in and out early morning, all day. Industrial area.

It's a travel park, so no frills. The host was super nice. Each site has power. There is a dump station and water fill spigot. No wifi, no shade, no lending library, but good prices. Light traffic noise and a little noise from the industrial sector. Long pull through sites. Excellent showers. At $15 a night, it was a good value and we would stay again. You can walk next door to the grocery store.

Lowest daily price campground in the Fox Valley. No it does not have sewer or water at the site, if you want that go somewhere else. Free water fill and dump station by the main building. Bathrooms are clean and the shower is hot. Great place for the bargain traveller. If you want other amenities there are a handful of other campgrounds in the area that offer them for more money.

Level site, easy access. Well maintained bathroom and shower. Electric only, 30 amp. Dump station and water spigot by building. No one on site, no laundry, no shade. Seemed safe enough to leave RV for the day to visit Green Bay. No need for a reservation, $15/night.
