Visitors consistently praise the ease of access to trails, the cleanliness of the farm, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes both human and horse feel right at home.
Orchard Cove Stables is ideally located at 1263 Schoolhouse Gap Rd, Townsend, TN 37882, USA. This address places it directly bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Blount County, making it an unparalleled gateway to the park's extensive network of horse trails. The accessibility of Orchard Cove Stables is a significant highlight, especially for those hauling large trucks and horse trailers. Beyond the immediate trails, the location also offers relatively easy access to other parts of the Smokies and surrounding areas, including Maryville and Knoxville for broader amenities, though the primary draw remains the immediate trail access.

While public information indicates that Orchard Cove Stables may no longer be accepting new reservations, typically for a high-demand, specialized campground like this, "promotions" often manifest in specific ways rather than standard discounts. Historically, or in similar high-quality equestrian campgrounds, these might include:
- Value for Specialized Services: The comprehensive horse facilities (stalls, arena, wash areas) and direct trail access represent significant value for equestrian campers, often justifying a premium price compared to general campgrounds.
- Long-Term Stay Rates: For horse owners looking for an extended base to explore the Smokies, facilities like Orchard Cove Stables often provide more economical weekly or monthly rates compared to daily stays.
- Exclusive Riding Experiences: The owners sometimes ride with guests and show them trails, which is an invaluable, unadvertised "offer" in terms of local knowledge and guidance.
- Clinics and Training Sessions: Some equestrian facilities, especially those with covered arenas, might host clinics or training sessions that could be considered added value for guests.

They have easy access to the trails. It is extraordinarily nice, beautifully landscaped, well managed by the friendly owners. School House Rd. is a small country road, but the road into Orchard Cove is sufficient to accommodate the largest trucks and trailers. I am sad to hear that they are no longer accepting reservations.
