Introduction / Overview
For Maine residents seeking an affordable, stable housing solution within the beautiful and amenity-rich Oxford Hills region, Oxford Pines Mobile Home Park represents a long-standing option. Located on Carol Road in the town of Oxford, this park provides the essential foundation for manufactured home living: a rented lot where residents can place their own mobile or manufactured home. This model is a key component of affordable housing across Maine, particularly for individuals, families, and those on fixed incomes looking to benefit from home ownership without the prohibitive cost of land purchase.
Established in Maine since 1980, Oxford Pines Mobile Home Park has a history rooted in serving the local community. It is known to offer lots for rent, and potentially, rental homes and apartments, catering to a diverse demographic within the Oxford area. As an all-ages community, it welcomes families, young professionals, and retirees alike. The park's management, Oxford Property Management, emphasizes providing well-run mobile home parks, sometimes including programs like 'rent-to-own' for qualified applicants, further underscoring its role in promoting accessible housing solutions in the state. Maine residents exploring manufactured home living will find Oxford Pines situated conveniently near key municipal resources and major recreational attractions, a balance that is highly valued in the Pine Tree State.
However, potential and current residents should be aware that community standards and maintenance are noted concerns in recent public reviews, including issues with common area upkeep and road conditions. While management aims for well-run parks, residents' proactive engagement in maintaining their individual lots is crucial for upholding the community's overall appeal.
Location and Accessibility
Oxford Pines Mobile Home Park is conveniently situated at 100 Carol Rd, Oxford, ME 04270, USA. Its location in Oxford, Maine, is a distinct advantage for residents who value both rural tranquility and easy access to commerce and recreation.
The park is located in the Oxford Hills area, an inland region of Western Maine known for its numerous lakes, forests, and small towns. Residents enjoy immediate accessibility to Route 26, a major artery connecting the area to other towns like South Paris and the greater Southern Maine region. This connectivity is vital for commuting to work, accessing healthcare facilities, and running daily errands.
Crucially, the location offers proximity to significant local features. It is a short drive to the Oxford Casino Hotel and Event Center, and the proximity to the Oxford Plains Speedway offers seasonal entertainment. For Maine’s outdoor enthusiasts, the region is dotted with beautiful reservoirs and ponds—including Thompson Lake and Tripp Lake—providing world-class fishing, boating, and water recreation just minutes from the community. Furthermore, its adjacency to local transfer stations or "dumps" is a practical convenience for waste disposal, although cleanliness standards within the park remain a noted area for improvement, as per resident feedback.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
For Maine locals in the Oxford Hills area, Oxford Pines Mobile Home Park is a practical and necessary component of the region’s housing market. It is suitable primarily because it solves a critical need: accessible, non-subsidized, permanent housing. Residents can own a home in a beautiful, economically active part of Maine—minutes from major recreational lakes and local commerce—at a fraction of the cost of traditional site-built homes.
While the community requires more attentiveness to self-maintenance from its residents and improved responsiveness from management regarding infrastructure (such as road repair), its value proposition remains strong. It is a stable, all-ages community that fosters a sense of independence and ownership while keeping residents connected to all the Western Maine region has to offer. For Maine families and individuals prioritizing location and affordability in a challenging housing market, Oxford Pines provides a long-term, established residential base.

Very lazy management. There is a huge culvert dug into Cheryl LN that keeps getting worse as people drive over it. It's to the point where if you have a low car it's gonna scrape the paint and bottom out. Do better Oxford Pines Management.

Nov 10, 2024 · Paul PelletierIf your looking for a place to rent a lot for your trailer and you see this place run. Almost all of the homes are trashed the park supervisors position is always changing and they keep doing unethical things. I wold just stay out if you like to live in peace.
