Customer Reviews
My family has stayed at this campground two years in a row and we love it. We have a large rig and had plenty of room ( just make sure you tell them if you have a large rig). The owners are very polite. They delivered some firewood to our site and we ended up having a very pleasant conversation. They’ve made several improvements and I’m looking forward to seeing what they’ll do next. Very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed just looking at the stars in the peace and quiet.
They are great people. We're on a bicycle tour, and I called to see if they had availability. Amber's friendly voice answered and she said she would always make room for bicyclists! We arrived on a Friday night, and were greeted by Sarah, who was also very friendly and I enjoyed talking with her about our trip. The campground was nice and quiet and the showers wonderful.
This place looks like something out of The hills have eyes! 👀 When we first got there there was nobody there at all it was like a ghost town! We looked in the office area and it's so old in there it doesn't look like anybody's been in there since about 1985 and then we walked around back around the pool that they have outside and it was just full of nothing but debris a dead rat, dead bugs, just was pretty gross the bottom of it was all just sand and not clean at all! We ended up putting our tents up for about 20 minutes & decided we were not going to stay there we ended up going back up into ossineke campground which is completely rustic & it was more civilized than this old deserted campground! PS the power did NOT work there either! I was shocked trying to plug in my charger!
From the reservation phone call, to the waves goodbye, Amber, staff and other campers provided our family with a wonderful experience. Although the campground is currently under daily renovations, the family atmosphere remains. The entire staff is working together along with campers to create what I predict will be one of the top family campgrounds in the area(if it isn't number one already!) Life jackets, bikes, rakes, even ibuprofen was readily available. If you want a hands on family fun getaway this is the spot. Thanks for having us! The kids can't wait to return, neither can we.
We haven’t camp in 20 + years and we just loved our stay here. The owners were awesome. The other guests were all respectful and super friendly. The pool was fantastic. Our site was perfectly located, backing to the woods with water and electric. The bathroom were cleaned a couple times a day. (very important to us) Apparently the owners are newer and it is apparent they are fixing things up little by little. We will definitely be back. If there was a wish list to suggest things, I’d suggest: An ice machine, a gift shop for t-shirts and treats, because I would have bought some. LOL. The wood they sell is awesome!!! Ranger Lady was fantastic. We felt so welcomed. Thank you for the memories. Tina and Brian
