Pettigrew RV Park and Recreational Campground is situated at 357 Madison 4811, Pettigrew, AR 72752, USA. This address places it deep within Madison County, in a less-traveled, incredibly scenic part of the Ozark Mountains. Pettigrew itself is a small, unincorporated community, known for its rural charm and direct connection to the expansive natural beauty of the region.
For Arkansans, reaching Pettigrew RV Park means embracing a journey into the heart of the Ozarks. While the review mentions a "bumpy ride in," which indicates a more rustic or gravel road approach, this is often part of the charm of reaching truly secluded and peaceful locations. Access typically involves navigating state highways that lead into county roads, so drivers should be prepared for winding routes and potentially unpaved sections, especially for larger RVs. Securing cabinet contents is a good piece of advice for this kind of drive! Despite the rural approach, the reward is immediate: a sense of quietude and immersion in nature that is hard to find elsewhere. The remoteness contributes significantly to the peaceful atmosphere and the incredible stargazing opportunities. While not directly adjacent to major towns, its location provides excellent access to the vast Ozark National Forest, offering opportunities for hiking, exploring, and simply enjoying the pristine wilderness that Arkansas is famous for. This location is perfect for those who seek to disconnect from city life and fully embrace the tranquility of the mountains.

Customer Reviews
The owner Jeff was friendly and accommodating, and the location was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Best of all, our dogs were able to enjoy the property off leash!
The owner, Jeff, was a great host despite us arriving unannounced in the off season. We were planning to boondock, but he allowed us to hook up for a very small fee and even provided an adapter for our unit. The weather was chilly, but we enjoyed the beautiful site and great stargazing. Highly recommend staying here. It's a bumpy ride in - make sure your cabinets are secured!
The owner, Jeff, is very kind and attentive. Lots of cute dogs and a goat on the property. Great location for beautiful views and nature. A little rustic (water from a container to be pumped into your fresh water tank), no sewer but a dump station is provided. 30 and 50 Amp electricity available. The park is working its way to being great.
My dad stayed here and we thought he was coming home but he was working in a no service area and we hadn't heard anything in hours. I called to see if he had checked out and he had already but the guy offered to drive on Hwy 16 (where my dad's location showed) to see if he could see him. Thankfully my dad called while I was on the phone with him and he was alright but I greatly appreciate this man's offer of help!
The owner is one of the nicest I've spoke with. You can tell he works hard to make things nice and wants to make sure people have a good time in the area. There is a map on his website with all kinds of locations of hikes and waterfalls which is very helpful for getting to know about the area. 🎆 If you are going to be in the area on the evening of July 1st at least by White River Baptist church for their firework show & can stay a night.🎆
