Introduction / Overview

Plantation Place Dallas RV Park is situated at 345 Barnes Bridge Rd, Sunnyvale, TX 75182, USA. This RV park is known for offering a quieter, more economical alternative compared to some other campgrounds in the Dallas area. It provides a peaceful setting despite its proximity to major urban centers, making it an appealing choice for those who value tranquility during their RV stay. The park aims to be a practical and welcoming base for visitors and long-term residents alike.

The park is described as being "centrally located between Mesquite and Garland," yet "quietly tucked behind a few subdivisions," which contributes to its peaceful feel. This unique positioning allows residents to experience the best of both worlds: convenient access to shopping, dining, and entertainment in the surrounding areas, coupled with a serene environment within the park itself. For Texans, this balance is often a key factor in choosing an RV park.

Plantation Place Dallas RV Park focuses on providing essential amenities and a well-maintained environment. While some aspects might be more basic, the overall value proposition—combining affordability with a peaceful location and key facilities—makes it a notable option in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The park strives to offer a friendly atmosphere where residents can enjoy their stay without unnecessary frills, providing a solid foundation for RV living.

Location and Accessibility

The strategic location of Plantation Place Dallas RV Park at 345 Barnes Bridge Rd, Sunnyvale, TX 75182, USA, is one of its significant advantages for Texans. Sunnyvale is a small, affluent town located just east of Dallas, offering a suburban escape that is still incredibly well-connected to the urban core. The park is approximately 13 miles east of downtown Dallas, translating to a relatively short drive for accessing the city's major attractions, business districts, and cultural venues.

Its position "centrally located between Mesquite and Garland" further enhances its accessibility. Residents have easy access to Interstate 30, a major east-west artery, making travel throughout the DFW metroplex straightforward. This means quick trips to large shopping centers, diverse dining options, healthcare facilities, and entertainment hubs in Mesquite, Garland, and beyond. For those working in Dallas or surrounding cities, the commute from Sunnyvale is often more manageable than from more distant rural RV parks.

The park's setting "behind a few subdivisions" ensures a quieter atmosphere, minimizing road noise and the general hustle often associated with urban living. This allows residents to enjoy a peaceful retreat at the end of the day, a quality highly valued by many RVers. While specific public transportation options directly to the park might be limited due to its suburban nature, the ease of driving and the overall proximity to a major metropolitan area make it a highly accessible choice for Texans who rely on their vehicles.

Compared to the other campgrounds in the area, this place had few niceties but was also less expensive. The pull-through slots were small and tight. Our particular grassy slot has the neighbor's sewer, water, and electricity lines running across the grass, creating a tripping hazard every time we step out. It has a laundry and a mail room, though we did not use either. On one side, there is a large field with a path and a dog park in one corner. This makes a nice area for walking the dogs. This also has a covered pavilion that includes some exercise equipment and seating area, but the whole front section is open to the elements. Too hot to use when we were there. All in all, this is a good, inexpensive place to stay while visiting Dallas not much going on at the campsite.

This is a great place to park a camper or RV. Everyone in the park is very nice keeps to themselves. Although it’s centrally located between Mesquite and garland, it’s quietly tucked behind a few subdivisions which gives it a peaceful feel. The spaces were oversized, perfect to park two vehicles with your Rv and plenty of space between hook-ups. The park is well-maintained, the maintenance men are out working everyday to improve the park and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I do wish they had concrete pads to park on, the gravel shifts a little with the weather over time. The laundry room came in handy, pay by app, they could use a few more washers/dryers considering how busy the park is. Overall our stay was great, I would definitely stay there again.

The park location is beautiful although we were wondering where Google was taking us as we passed residential homes. While the lots are gravel, not concrete, it was level and large. It was very quiet at night. The large pond was very peaceful. We didn't stay long enough to use the facilities but they were inviting. There's no pool so that might be an issue in the heat of summer but we were there to see attractions in the area including Wylie and Dallas. We were pleased to see a water filtration machine on site but it was not working while we were there. The laundry was clean and the prices good (pay through app). Oh, and the wifi was awesome! I wish more parks provided this service.

Very nice campground with loads of trails to walk thru fields, trees and next to a river. Quiet as well. The guy working there was hugely helpful. The only star taken was for the laundry...the app was broken and it's needed to do laundry. They did schedule maintenance for the machines just after we left so maybe it's all good now.

Plantation place is a nice place to stay full time or short term! The staff is greatand attentive . Quiet and friendly. Dog park is nice too. The biggest thing needed is pond maintenance. We weren't able to really fish due to the excessive growth in the pond and maybe more access to more of the pond to enjoy the fishing. Other than that we are having a great time!
