For many Massachusetts residents approaching or enjoying their retirement, finding an affordable, convenient, and truly welcoming community is the ultimate goal. The **Plymouth Mobile Estates Cooperative Corporation (PMEC)** in historic Plymouth, MA, offers a compelling solution that redefines the concept of mobile home living. Far from the outdated stereotype, PMEC is a beautiful, meticulously maintained, and financially savvy option for the active adult.
PMEC is a **55+ resident-owned community**, a distinction that is crucial for local users seeking stability and control. In a cooperative model, when you purchase a home, you also purchase a share in the corporation, meaning the community is governed by its residents (shareholders) through an elected Board of Directors. This structure ensures that decisions are made by the people who live there, directly contributing to the park's exceptional upkeep and pleasant atmosphere.
Visitors often express surprise at the quality and tranquility of the property, with its well-manicured common areas and attractive, set-back entrance featuring stone columns—a clear indication that this is a premium manufactured home community. With over 200 homes, PMEC fosters a vibrant, active, and quiet neighborhood, thanks in large part to the age-restricted nature of the community which promotes a respectful and peaceful environment for all residents.
If you are a Massachusetts homeowner looking to downsize, simplify your finances, and gain a sense of community without sacrificing quality, Plymouth Mobile Estates Cooperative Corporation offers a lifestyle that beautifully balances rural charm with modern convenience in America's Hometown.

Key location advantages for local residents:
Services Offered (Monthly Fee Inclusion)

For a mobile home park this is super nice and well maintained. We were visiting an elder member of our church congregation. Impressed with how quiet and nice the area was, tucked away and up a little hill. The entrance has nice stone columns (my husband: are you sure this is the turn? It looks too nice to be a trailer park.) Of course, most of this is probably due to the age restriction (55+) and that makes sense.
Oct 16, 2019 · Jessica HendersonWell kept. Beautiful mature landscaping. Very nice community with lots of activities. Convenient to all.
Jun 10, 2024 · Don LucasHorrible. Rude, uninviting, and nosey neighborhood. Could barely enjoy a visit with family due to dirty looks just for pulling into the driveway. Almost got a fine for a 30 year old man visiting his mother and laughing with her on the porch. Ridiculous.
Sep 02, 2019 · Kayleigh SusinettiMy son and his girlfriend live at this property it is very well maintained I love the swimming pool. Overall it's a very family friendly neighborhood.
Aug 29, 2019 · Denischa BriddellI would give it no stars if I could. This place is horrible. You can’t have visitors, they’re against children being there, your visitors can’t use the pool and if they do without knowing the rules you get fined $. Everyone is nosy, miserable and unfriendly. If you have no life, no friends or family and plan on not making a peep while living somewhere, do not move here. Awful.
