Sites need lots of clean up and updating. Showers and bathrooms aren’t bad but have to hold the shower handle down and shower at the same time. Makes washing your hair challenging!
Internet seems to provide all accurate info but it’s quite small and right off road
Nice little campground tucked in the trees near the water. We usually camp on the west side of the lake but couldn't find a spot so we "settled" for Post Oak Campground. It was more quiet and had less drive-thru traffic, which made for a relaxing weekend. The proximity to the trails west of the dam was nice, too. The bathrooms have recently been replaced and are nice and clean. The only negative was the lack of sewer hook-ups, but with the new bathrooms that wasn't a deal killer for coming back. EDIT 5/5/23 Enjoyed it so much last fall that we decided to go back on opening weekend this season (the campground is closed November thru April). Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. The restrooms were still in good shape and clean, however there weren't any trashcans or soap. The weeds were knee-high in some places and it didn't look like anyone has mowed the sites yet. I had to search for my fire pit since it was literally covered in leaves. Once I cleared the leaves, I found a firepit full of last season's ashes. This is still a nice little campground but it needs some attention.
This is our go to RV camping park. It’s close to home and the camp hosts are amazing. When you arrive everything is ready for you. The grill is clean and the campsite is free of any trash. They do an amazing job!
Beautiful! We got a great spot on the lake. It even has a little sandy beach.
