Beautiful woods in this area. The lake was nice and we enjoyed a little picnic by the lake under the pines. We would have stayed longer and fished but we just did this spontaneously, so we'll have to come here another time. The only issue is that it was astoundingly crowded. The main reason we didn't stay longer than a picnic. I think this will be nice to revisit in the off season, but otherwise, expect it to be completely packed.
Beautiful park and lake. At the entrance you pay following the honor system into a bucket three dollars per car. There is a bathroom with no soap. There are several benches and there is a shade watching the lake. When I was there, everyone seemed very friendly with multiple families and a couple of elderly people. I would recommend coming here for a picnic and enjoying the views and atmosphere.
Our 3rd time here. Our most favorite place to camp. A canopy of trees, quiet. There is phone service but at the low end but who cares, we’re there to get away from technology.
Beautiful park, tons of hiking, gorgeous lake to enjoy kayaking, fishing, swimming bird watching. Best place to visit or camp. Get away from the city and be one with nature.
Nice, off-the-beaten-path CCC Park with a beautiful lake, plenty of campsites, and nice, clean rest rooms. The hike around the lake is quite scenic and enjoyable, including a nicely documented bird watching area, and a cool trail that actually crosses the dam! I especially enjoy the 100+ yr-old sawmill relics which also have excellent interpretive signage. We love this place so much that a group of my college buddies & I have now made this our annual camping destination. You'll love it, too!
